Don't even deserve one star. I had the unfortunate scheduling with Tuesday Yacap. She did not show up for the scheduled interview. She emailed me later, with no apology, to set up another interview time. After less than two minutes into this alternative time, she said that the jobs she would have available would be out in Kapolei. In my profile she then realized that I had stated a preference for downtown or windward side, she concluded that we had nothing more to discuss. finally have some free time so i figured i'd post something here ... have used accountemps on several project before and they always manage to send over the best fit based on my needs at the time .... even a last minute emergency fill was not a problem .. they sent out 5 people with the various skills i had requested the next day .. they had to scramble a bit but, they got the temp staff out there .. i gave newbies a very brief overview of the task .. spent about 5 minutes with each .. got them setup and we were good to go in less than 1/2 hour. Awful company. Awful people. Absolutely do not recommend. I signed up with them looking for immediate, likely to become permanent employment. They found something for me within days. The assignment itself went well until the supervisor there decided not to keep her word. I dislike and do not respect people who don't keep their word. The same goes for Accountemps, a division of Robert Half. I learned they have not been able to provide "the right person" for that assignment for a long time. It begs the question, "what the heck is going on here?!" I dealt directly with Kristin (admin), Abby (VP), Pauline (staffing manager) and Erica (branch manager). Ultimately, all were useless and unprofessional. Kristin could not answer any of my questions at all. On multiple occasions she just put me on hold expecting me to wait and wait. Pauline was incredibly unprofessional when she came to my location for confidential paperwork and showed up 20 minutes late with no apology, spoke to my assignment supervisor right in front of me asking if she was happy with me and then discussed another candidate available for another position at my location. Abby also couldn't answer specific questions and passed me off to other people in their office, giving excuses for why something could not be done. I brought some of my serious concerns to Erica, who ignored my urgent email when I couldn't catch her on the phone. However, Abby and Erica could contact me immediately through multiple channels when the assignment ended abruptly. I repeatedly asked for a document they should have been able to provide, and when I found out exactly how they could get another copy, they refused to do it. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find information on my own and then found out, from the benefits people, that my personal information was incorrect. That information comes directly from the local branch, so somebody there screwed up. And they completely ignored my urgent messages trying to correct all of this. But again, they wasted no time telling me the assignment that should have become permanent was suddenly over. read more

When I was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 2016, I found myself facing a job market that seemingly had little clue in what to do with my skill sets, many of which were necessarily generally stated and/or in technical jargon that was foreign to most private-sector industries despite my best efforts to translate them to friendlier terms. As I was also attending grad school at UH at the time, I was therefore in search of consistent, but flexible part-time employment; and Hawaii's temp agencies became my fastest and most reliable source of income. I bounced around to a couple of the big ones and was met with rather confused assessments of my skills, trouble matching jobs with my class schedule, and lackluster placements. Now it could have just been a coincidence of timing, but I feel that the folks at Office Team worked the hardest at sussing out my talents and capabilities, took a considerate approach to my placement, and consequently very quickly matched me up with a great job with a crack corporate legal firm in downtown Honolulu. Office Team in Downtown Honolulu was a godsend. Literally I walked in for my interview, took the typing test and skills assessment, was interviewed and sent out the door to a client interview that day. Apparently that doesnt happen often. Normally you register with them and then they call you for an assignment in the next few days. I was very happy with my experience with them, and am still working full time for the placement they found me. No, my experience wasnt great. After going on several assignments and being with them for 5 months including back in Washington, DC for 6 weeks they couldnt find me any work and it caused a financial struggle. I finally was able to obtain a temporary assignment, but had to go through a background check and drug test both of which I passed. The problem is it took a month just to get this and I lost my apartment. I also later learned the other temps (that also had to do a b/g check but no drug test) had theirs completed in two weeks. I ended up having to go to a homeless shelter, which not only made it difficult in getting to work, but the environment was hostile, scary and sleepless, especially as a single woman - and yes Nathan Whitaker knew it. There is a shuttle for us, but it sometimes just doesnt show up and you have to walk two miles just to the nearest bus stop. By the time I got to work, I was stressed and hopeless but I STILL made it. Try doing that in a dress! The final straw was when I couldnt make it to work due to the shuttle not showing up once again and the job saw my stress and felt it was better to let me go because I seemed confrontational. From that Nathan wouldnt even talk to me. I couldnt understand why he would allow something like that being said WITHOUT speaking with both parties. It wasnt until the Shelter called him because they felt badly that the transportation issue didnt show up. Finally Nathan emailed me but only to say he didnt want to work with me anymore and my stress was showing up at work. Folks, I get how being professional is essential at all times. However, I challenge anyone who is in a shelter, has to walk a bit of ways, deals with theft, people not quite stable, fighting, etc. - I challenge them to see how THEY would come through smiling with no tears. Both the job AND Office Team knew I was in a homeless shelter and I think the stigma made them want to get rid of me. I saw me as trash despite being no criminal, drug free and college educated. Bottomline, DONT THROW away your employees because they are going through a hardship and not at their best (despite being kept abreast). It shows we are nothing but mere slaves to you Office Team. My first assignment with Accountemps was a nightmare. Too afraid to report my situation, I let it go until the assignment ended. Post assignment, Venus followed up with me and asked me what happened. I explained to her the circumstances and she was appalled. She supported me through the ordeal and assured me that they would find me another assignment with a better personality match and a WAY more professional atmosphere. I was hesitant and I had nothing but doubts racing through my mind about Accountemps and the clients it serves. My next assignment was golden. My third assignment ended in a permanent hire. I am now happily employed in the perfect work environment at the right level for me.
