The positions they have presented so far, are exactly what i wanted to come across. I love how they help potential employees understand the process, by listing down what to expect from Altres. It's so organized and transparent. I admire this! I highly recommend Altres Staffing, especially the dedicated team: Kawehi, Leighana and Lynn, for professionals seeking employment with great successful companies! They are awesome at what they do! 10+ stars in my book :))

Altres made my experience as a first time mother extremely stressful. I went over two months…read morewithout pay because they dragged their feet processing my TDI claim. They asked Pacific Guardian Life to violate HIPAA rights and share my doctors portion of the TDI claim to which PGL cc'd me onto the email showing they had asked for that. They refused to file their portion of the claim online like my doctor and myself had submitted (the recommended way). So I reluctantly agreed to share my doctors portion of my TDI claim to which they then lost when it was faxed to them. I then went another two weeks waiting for an update, only to find out from PGL that they were waiting for a correction to be made on Altres behalf. PGL said I qualified for 100% financial compensation of my pay but Altres said I only qualified for 50%. When I asked when the request was made, I was told they had emailed them on a Wednesday, it was Monday when I found that out. Then when I called Altres they said they had JUST received the email that morning. How convenient... The benefit specialist I dealt with was Alicia Tanouye. Altres should be ashamed for trying to get one by on a vulnerable first time mom. Having me go over two months without pay is just shameful and to try to undercut a full time employee.

They came back to me with offers that fit my criteria that I never found on Craigslist or Monster; and trust me, I was looking. I was contacted quickly, interviewed quickly, and received phone calls, e-mails, and follow ups frequently during my job search. Their testing and screening process is well thought out and helps tailor the types of job the candidate is best suited for, including a factor the candidate's choice of environment. Every job possibility that one of the recruiters offered me was one that fell within the outline that I indicated. At no point did a recruiter try to pressure me into taking a job below my standards just to get a posting completed. I was treated with respect, courtesy, and worth; all qualities that suffer an assault during a job search, especially if it begins to drag on. Bottom line, though their business is a business, they seem genuine in wanting to get the job-seeker hired in a permanent position where they can be successful.

Denelyn stated that she would share my resume and encouraged me to contact her if I had any additional questions. I followed up with Denelyn again on September 8, but I have not received a response. Just crickets. Communication is a fundamental part of the recruiting process. When a recruiting firm reaches out to a potential candidate, follows up, and then stops communicating without explanation, it creates a poor candidate experience and raises concerns about how the firm communicates with the people it represents. Potential candidates and employers considering working with Bishop & Co. should take the company's communication practices into account. Best not to waste your time.

Let me back it up there and go from the beginning. I wasn't looking at the time for another job, they found me. They told me about a great position that was right up my work experience. I went in and signed all the paperwork, they then forward my resume to the client. Went in for an interview a couple days later and got the position. However, unfortunately for me after 3 days there I came down with the flu. I was feeling like I was on deaths door.. I did everything I was supposed to do. Immediately called to let Source It know. I left voicemail ... you could hear it in my voice just how sick I was. I asked to be called back so that it was acknowledged. Nothing. No call back. Second day I was out I made sure to call again, got voicemail, left another message and said I was going to the doctors that day and would get a note. Asked to be called back. Nothing ... again Third day I called out, I again asked about the doctors note and if I could email it over to them. No reply ... nothing I emailed later that night because it's frustrating to not know what's going on. I FINALLY received a reply the very next day ... to sum it up in a few words ... sorry your sick but you don't have the job anymore. Mind you I was on prescribed medication that makes me sleepy ... but ah ... even if they had called they could've left a voicemail. And instead of CALLING ME BACK THE FIRST DAY I CALLED OUT to let me know that hey you have to be in regardless if your sick or you'll lose the job courtesy call ... they decided to do it 4 days later. Again I repeat .... nobody bothered to contact me after the numerous times I contacted them. It took them 4 effing days to get back to me. Not very professional at all. I wouldn't bother using them. Which I thought was unusual because with other temp agencies, this was never the case. In several attempts with getting me back to work in 2020, with no such luck as the hiring companies also had to pull back positions. And even during all of this, when I did get an "internship" through another entity to acquire technical experience because of the pandemic impact, I needed Aerotek/Aston Carter to provide a letter stating that the position I had applied for fell through. I received a call the same evening I requested such letter at 8 pm. This blew me away as I expected this process would take days or weeks for me to get a response but this wasn't the case. In January 2021 after my internship was completed, I took a week off to before restarting the job hunt. But instead, I got a call from Aston Carter asking if I was available. The job? Patient Service Representative at the mass-Covid Vaccination site at Pier 2! And honestly folks, when the news first came out about this event a few days prior, I knew I wanted to be part of this historic occasion, so my answer was a resounding YES! I wanna help. For the 6-months that I worked at Pier 2, the Aston Carter Account Manager was there, every morning before we started at 7 am. He was always available for us as well as the hosting company. Three-months into the gig, the hosting company allowed us to apply for positions with them. It took me a while to decide as I really enjoyed working with the people at the Pier. As things started to slow down at the Pier, I made the decision to start apply for a position with the hosting company which wasn't hard to do as managers and supervisors from the hosting company were actively recruiting new hires at the Pier. When it came to professional recommendations, our Aston Carter Account Manager was there for each and everyone of us, quickly responding to the hosting company's surveys. And although I am happily employed full-time with the hosting company, this Account Manager allows us to keep in contact with him and responding to messages within an hour. As far as benefits, Aston Carter provided the best and I got my health, vision and dental benefits as soon as I started. No waiting period like other contract agencies. I am thankful to all the team members I have been in contact with at Aston Carter, for all the professional help and advise they have given. As well as their quick response and friendly attitude and genuinely wanting to see me and my co-workers succeed.
