Local temp agency. Honolulu based. Im just here to comment on the quality of staff provided by Staffing Partners. I get it, 2024 is a hard year to find hard working people, but seriously? The staff provided have terrible work ethic, arnt able to complete basic job duties, and are not always the most honest about their working hours. Having staff use paper timesheets is archaic and untrustworthy. People working full time hours yet doing the worst work. If you use this agency for staffing, beware. If you are looking for work, you may want to rethink utilizing them for assistance. read more

Out of all the employment agencies located in Honolulu, I hesitate to come here. The reviews show a lack of structure and communication. The reviews hit the spot with the lack of professionalism. Even though this agency pays decent wages, they don't communicate with each other. Staffing Partners called me about a job in bookkeeping. When I spoke with Staffing Partners about being reassigned to another assignment, the staff said I quit. Which is not the case. When I went to the unemployment office and told them about this situation I showed the office the email I sent to Staffing Partners. No one responded. After about 3 weeks, Staffing Partners called me and placed me at a job that I have no experience in that field. Needless to say, the company let me go within 2 weeks. I question Staffing Partners if they understand my experience. I suspect they placed me at a job so that they will not get in trouble with the Unemployment Office. Go to other agencies that understand your needs. You do not want to develop a bad reputation due to Staffing Partners lack of professionalism. read more

When I got the call for an interview for a job with this firm, I began to do some research on the company and it lead me to here. When I read the reviews, I was think "What am I getting myself into?", but thanks to Indeed, I was able to find this place and jobs that I wanted. I have been to many temp agencies, but when I told my interviewer about how bad the reviews were, it was all true. The receptionist literally took a look at my paper work and although she was checking to see if I had done the application, her attitude was pretty nasty and to the other people that I was in the room with. The other people were very accommodating and showed great empathy to the clients and helped them out. If I ran this agency, the receptionist has got to be replaced! For reals!! They say 'you don't get a second chance to make a first impression'. The other people had shown a great deal of empathy and understood our situations, but the receptionist, not a damn! Walking in the door, this was my second time working with a staffing agency in Hawaii. My first experience with an agency was positive.So I figured why not give them a shot. it was the same working with Staffing Partners. I had the opportunity to be placed on a long term temp to hire position.After being hired at that job, they were able to still continue to work me on other jobs that were short term and helped out financially. Each experience was positive with the employers that I was placed out at. I was paid weekly, which was a huge plus! And paid that same week that I worked which is rare these days. The office is located near Ala Moana shopping center in the Bank of Hawaii building. I am thankful for the opportunities to have been able to work at some great places. And have fun while doing it. Great company to work for! First of all they offer same week pay and offer TWO pay days a week (you can get paid on Monday and/or Friday as long as your timesheet is signed.) I mean yeah, they wait until 5p to release the checks but think about it..most places make you wait the following week to get paid. The staff is awesome with great communication. Like any other place of employment, communication is key. They are very understanding and compassionate because they know that the inevitable happens but you have to think of staffing agencies as if you're starting a new job and you're on your 90 day probationary period. It's a great stepping stone to help you get your foot into the doors of reputable companies. I think Staffing Partners is very under-rated. Great job y'all. When I needed to find additions employment to make ends meet I thought it was going to be hard because I already work full time. Instead they found work for me that fit my schedule. I don't like how this staffing agency makes you wait until after 5:00 to pick up a check because of someone else's actions.. it's ridiculous. Most of the time I just wait until the next day (which is tuesday obviously) just to pick up a check. Thoroughly disappointed with this agency. Firstly the receptionist needs an attitude adjustment. Totally unprofessional, rude and very self absorbed. She treats us the employees/customers like we are second class citizens...as though we are prevailed to speak with her. More about her unprofessionalism in the second paragraph. My experience with Staffing Partners. 1) Firstly, the pay clerk got my pay cheque tax deductions wrong; this went on for four pay periods before she finally corrected it. 2) Secondly, the pay clerk got my request to cancel the direct deposit messed up. The pay clerk after confirming I wanted to end direct deposit decided to direct deposit my pay anyway. 3) lastly...the straw that broke the camel's back; I got laid off on the 19th from St Francis Healthcare. The manager paid me for the 19th and the 20th as I had worked a Saturday and those hours were held as comp time. Today the 28th I sent an email to inquire why I did not get paid as of yet. And it was only after my email the pay clerk is now asking my account manager to conform my hours. Wow, so disorganized and absolutely not accountability. Each of the times mentioned above I requested from the receptionist to speak with someone inside to have the matter corrected/resolved. She gave me the eye rolls, whined as though she was so hard done by my wanting to speak with someone. Each time she asked that I waited till she finishes helping everybody else in a very reprimanding tone of voice. So now, not only did I have my pay incorrect or mishandled, I was also inconvenienced and forced to endure hardship for no fault of my own. Finally when someone did come out to speak with me. I was simply told there was nothing they could do. I would have to wait and speak with my account representative on Monday. I found this to be very irresponsible and unprofessional. We bust our back working and this company makes a commission from our labour, so for them to treat us like this and show absolutely no accountability is irresponsible and unacceptable. read more

First time I've ever worked for an agency or firm. This place got me paid the SAME WEEK I STARTED after I moved down here from the mainland. On the verge of losing my home and being homeless I met with JR and Sam and they didn't hesitate to recognize my skills and put me in a position to move up and forward with my skills. I saw someone complain about picking up paychecks after 5pm, who complains about getting paid the same week they work lmao, anybody who knows anything about working for a company knows that's NEVER the case. I've since met with MANY agencies on the island that promised me nothing but lies. If you have any skills at all, they can get you paid. Simple as that. One of the few places that pays same week you work. That is the best & only good thing one can say about this agency. Poor followup if at all. Uncaring of employees safety. Only concerned about the pymt from client. Incorrect info given when getting assignment info. Seems to accept mostly low paying jobs-recruiters who don't know how to sell value for service. Does not backup their own employees. Has poor to no relationship with their employees, you are just a warm body to them. Even with advance notice of assignments ending, they are never prepared for new placement. JR & Tamzen were often rude and both never apologized when THEY make a mistake. I would not recommend this agency even if they were the only game in town-the worst. read more

Worst experience working with an employment agency that I ever had. They pay well but they make it hard to get your pay check. They make you go pick up your pay check and direct deposit is always late. Their staff is terrible and very unorganized. And getting work is tough you will have to call everyday and see if they have work. They over staff places multiple times and when you show up you will be sent home, or they will call you last minute and say come in later or say you dont have to come in. I have to give them 5 stars. I have been seeking employment for a little over month and became very discouraged. Less than a week of applying with Staffing Partners I got a call from JR the Customer Service Manager and got an interview the next day. I read some of the reviews on here the morning of going into filling out my application and found my experience completely opposite. They were wonderful! I was early to my appointment so Larry the front admin was not in yet so JR helped by getting the paper work started for me until Larry got in. So already we are one step ahead and early. Larry just clocked in when I was done and he immediately got me to start the next step, checked in periodically if I needed assistance while still helping the others in front. During my short wait I had 2 other employees, including Sam ask if I had already been helped and if I needed anything. No longer than 5 minutes after completing my 2nd step JR came out and interviewed me, already had a possible position for me and forwarded my information right away, she is a busy lady but still managed to keep me informed in such an amazing timely matter. The next day I get another lead from Sam who also forwarded my information the same day, I get a call from that company the SAME DAY, interviewed the following day, and today I am hired with a full time position. ALL of this in less than a week!!! They are a GREAT, HELPFUL, RESOURCEFUL company to be a part of! Also, the same day I got hired, I was notified by JR that her lead also wanted to hire me, how AMAZING is that?!?! I must also add that they did a great job in accommodating the location and pay I requested. They make you call their office 2-3 times per week to let them know that you are available for work. This is ridiculous! I've never had to do this with employment agencies before! Seriously, my availability for work is not going to change so drastically that I need to be calling their office 3 times per week! That's so unnecessary! If I found work on my own, I would let them know right away! Plus, it's their job to find and place job seekers with employers!
