I've been sitting on this review and trying to figure out how to describe my experience with Austin. In a nutshell, indescribable would be easy to say, but also the immediate feeling right after the session. I can breathe a bit better if not easier, weight on my shoulders feels lighter. And overall feels like I am freed by the 'mental shackles' that has had its hold on me for a long time. I had one session with Austin. The purpose was not very clear for the session because I thought I am a happy person with a healthy life. Why I wanted to see Austin? For years, my daughter had been encouraging me to find a therapist to help improve our relationship. While I knew I had been stuck in repeating patterns for over 50 years, my most urgent concern was the sudden back and hip pain I developed. Working with Austin was amazing. He is incredibly in tuned to my higher self. I am a highly qualified nurse and newly certified Nurse Practitioner. I was struggling with finding a job. I graduated in August 2021 and became certified in November 2021. I've done two sessions so far with Austin and am completely blown away by everything he's been able to do with me so far! My friend referred him to me awhile back and I really didn't understand what she meant when she said "he's a healer." I waited over two years to finally see him and I'm so happy I did! Personal development and doing "the work" is my obsession and over the years I've done many types of therapy. Talk therapy, hypnotherapy, regression therapy, reiki, meditation, you name it and I have most likely done it or researched it! I have been struggling with depression and anxiety since I was nineteen . I have been medicated on and off and dealt with this for long time . I was having very bad thoughts and was struggling with sleep and just feeling horrible. I didn't want to go back to therapy or medication and I was reading Austin's Yelp review past midnight so I scheduled a consultation call immediately . He called me right away at 9 am the next day and scheduled me to do a session with him . I was having major sever anxiety and really bad thoughts that day and thinking going back to medication . From having a bad thoughts to feeling better took 75 min . Even with meds sometimes sleeping is hard it doesn't work , that night I slept . My loss of appetite was very bad but since the next day after a good rest I was able to eat . After the session I felt tired from all the release and I had some thoughts coming back and anxiety but Austin checked in with me and we practiced through breathing . And I was able to get through my day . Able to sleep , go back to sleep . The biggest thing I noticed is that I have ptsd and I am not good with surprises even though people are not trying to scare me . When I'm in a room and someone walks in I jump , I'm aware that people are not trying to scare me . But I'm hyper sensitive with these kind of stuff and get emotionally exhausted with these things . After going through one session with Austin I noticed that I'm not jumpy anymore . I think the way I feel that " I am safe " and the nervous system trying to calm down is why I'm not hyper alert anymore . I am able to fall asleep too and fall back asleep . I don't know how to explain but it works . And I want to tell you without medication ... that is the best thing . Just one session and I was able to do this . It has been life changing. My husband is always very worried about me and he calls me all the time . After the session with Austin he knew immediately that I am back to being myself because my voice was significantly different. People like me gets pushed to get on medication a lot , or go to therapy and talk about the problem. Does it really help you ? For me it's not sustainable and it doesn't work much , that's why I was in a bad cycle . But with just one session with Austin I felt better and with real results to sleep better and eat better and feel balanced and feeling safe . How I felt back then I think I was exhausting myself , it was something that I created myself and making myself sick . And I feel like I was able to snap out of it or peeling away these old armors that was too heavy weighing on my shoulders for a long time . I wanted to give myself a few days to process the experience that I had after doing one of Austin's sessions. Prior to our session, I first met Austin in person where we connected on inner child work and the positive results that can come out of healing it. (Inner child and limiting beliefs were all familiar terms for me as I was in my own journey of learning and trying to heal them on my own, DIY style). To put it simple, I associated inner child and limiting belief healing similarly to modern therapy, but with a more holistic approach. I believe we all have an inner child that is connected to a past memory or experience that we've had as an infant or child, which subconsciously we attached to, resulting in us having certain limiting beliefs about life and ourselves. (i.e. we don't deserve love, we aren't good enough for that person, job, or thing, etc.) So anyway, by the time I met Austin, I had figured out what I thought my limiting belief was, but I had no clue how to heal and get rid of it. To be honest, I've done other holistic things just out of curiosity and in those experiences, I may have been thinking too much in my mind because it didn't work for me. So needless to say, there was a part of me that wondered if this would be just like those experiences. My session with Austin was all done over Zoom. He starts off by taking the time to explain what an inner child is, how it affects us, and how healing it can allow us to show up as more of our authentic selves. Then we went on to visit many of my past memories that I didn't realize I was so emotionally and physically attached to. I was pretty surprised at how many memories were actually coming up for me, but looking back on it, I'm pretty certain it's because Austin made sure that I felt comfortable, calm, and relaxed throughout the whole session, which allowed those past experiences to come up and reveal itself. He helped me to acknowledge it and then release it, which also took some time but Austin was patient with me throughout the entire thing. Post-session: For the rest of the day and the following few days after, I felt pretty physically tired, mentally exhausted, and just overall drained. (I can't blame my body, we just went through a number of intense past memories all in a span of an hour!) I looked it up and I think it can be similar to something called "therapy hangover" where the body feels fatigue and emotionally drained as a result of the session. Austin checked-in with me a few days later to see how I was feeling and assured me that the body will do what it needs to heal after the session. It took about 1-2 days for me to get my energy level back to normal, but the cool thing is, now when I revisit that limiting belief that I had going into the session, I acknowledge the belief but have a hard time resonating with it and feeling like it's MY belief. All I gotta say is if you are interested in inner child healing or even just showing up as a more authentic version of yourself, you have to go see Austin! read more

I'm a caregiver, who has a lifestyle of chronic stress and lack of sleep.
