Love this place so much! I've been a fan since high school! The food is reasonable, tasty, and quick. I love how fresh everything is. I'm giving SS five stars because I LOVE their food, and love keeping my money local and being a small business supporter. But, for goodness sake, can we get a grown up size drink with a $10 combo?! The burger is so good, the fries are awesome, but the drink is WAY too small and really makes the combos seem like they're not much of a value. Stopping there was quick, easy, and tasted really good. I had the double bacon burger and some fries the burger tasted how a burger should, so big and delicious that it leaves your mouth watering. Don't waist your time at Mc Donald's when you can experience this Rochester gem. read more

The food was ok for the price. You do get a decent amount of food for the price. I got the 3 Snappy burgers special. As you look at my photos, you can see a noticeable difference between the amount of bun, and the amount of meat. If I visit again, I will stack all 3 burger patties on one bun and eat the burger that way. At least then I'll be able to enjoy the burger some more, besides just tasting bun and lettuce. read more

When you are not looking to spend a lot of money or time, Snappy Stop has got your back. They might not give you exactly what you ordered, but they will definitely give you your food fast, hot, and greasy as all can be. Snappy Stop is the perfect place to go to when you are starving but I wouldn't recommend you to go out of your way to make sure you get some. The quality of the food and service is equivalent of a McDonalds or Burger King, so don't get your hopes up since it is a small business, unfortunately. The big downfall for me personally is cheese is a dollar extra for the snappy burgers and 50% of the time, they forget to put it on the burger so you are left with a hamburger instead of a cheeseburger even though you were charged an additional $1. The menu is simple and easy to understand and I love the idea but the staff doesn't seem to care about their work and it shows in the food. All in all, Snappy Stop is a good option if you are in a pinch, on a budget, and/or don't really care too much about the accuracy of your order if you personalize your item. read more

Best burgers in town, in my opinion. The buns are light and Fluffy, meat is juicey, and it can come with everything on it. It seems like they introduce a new style of burger monthly or so, such as the John hardy burger. The service is nice and considerably timely. The location is decent, located over by the old K Mart. Love this place, wish the north location didn't close. They are extremely fast and the burger/fries taste awesome. The burgers are California style, basically coming with shredded lettuce and the works. A little known tip I have come to utilize is to ask for Lawrys salt on the fries when you place your order; it gives them a little extra flavor and makes them irresistible! read more

There are at least 15 places that claim to have the best burgers in Rochester. In my opinion, that honor goes to the Snappy burger at Snappy Stop. Snappy is so good it almost makes me glad I get to go to the Mayo Clinic once a month or more just so I can stop and get a burger. Okay, I'd rather not go to the Mayo but this is definitely a positive as I never go to Rochester for any other reason. A friend brought me here about 10 years ago and I never forgot this wonderful burger. I made Snappy Stop a must do stop for our first trip down. When I have to fast for a test, Snappy is my first stop as soon as I can eat. Snappy Stop is a double drive through (one on each side of the small 2 story building) with a small menu (on par with In N Out burger), basically burgers, fries, pop and shakes, and that's all they need, they do them well. I like the double, it's the best ratio of meat to bun, a single is a little too bready, their buns are kind of fluffy. I get a double with extra cheese, extra mayo and no tomato, and it's like three bucks before tax! You get a burger you could easily buy for triple that in the Twin Cities and not question it. It's really a great burger. We had another burger while we were in Rochester at another place that's supposed to have the best cheeseburgers for a decade running according to some magazine, and has been voted one of the top 12 in the state (and the only one from Rochester on that list, so they cost $10/$15), and (spoiler alert!) in my opinion, The Snappy burger was better! read more

I am so disappointed in this place. They used to have one of the best burgers in town. It was always very fresh and tasted homemade. Now they increased the prices and decreased their quality. If you like fast food, you'll love Snappy Stop. Fast and friendly. We normally do not like fast food, so I'm giving a four-star rating based off of what we would give the restaurant if this wasn't the case. In our opinion, fast food places go (best to least favorite): 1. Krystal and White Castle 2. Snappy Stop and Culvers 4. Arby's 4. Burger King and Wendy's 5. Mcdonald's Pros: The hamburger had fresh tomato, lettuce, and a huge slice of white onion. The fries were some of the best we've eaten from fast food. Cons: Fast Food. Update: We had one of the Ice Cream Cups (free for Yelp users) the other night. Huge portion and really good. We were told that they no longer offer cones and they were out of chocolate (we had vanilla). Also, be very careful when you turn into Snappy Stop. There is a huge bump in the road between the main street and the drive through entrance that will really put a hurt on your car if you hit it going too fast. read more

Fast service. I was the only car there at 2 pm They should get their fries crisp instead of hot and soggy. I've done scratch fries in several kitchens I've run so I know it can be done. And I parked 20 feet away to eat so soggy is how they served them. Burger: way more bun, lettuce, tomato and onion than meat. I think it's supposed to be the other way around. read more

I love supporting Mom and Pop shops so I decided to give Snappy Stop a chance and paid it a visit after a walk in the park. Overall, of the cheap, fast food restaurants around town- this is one of my favorites. 3.5 stars: Food 5 stars: Service Snappy Stop is a drive-through only type of location but since I just wanted a quick snack for the walk home, there I was standing in the drive-through lane making my order. I got a Snappy Burger, Chicken Nuggets, and a side of fries. The Chicken Nuggets was by far the center of the spotlight. They were scorching hot meaning they were just made for me! :) I typically only enjoy McNuggets but these at least rivaled them. The burger was good and simple- lettuce, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and a patty. I typically hate mustard but the mustard they use here isn't too pungent so it actually accentuated the flavor of the burger. If I were to change anything- it'd be the bun. It's a bit too thick and not springy- so it just gets smushed with every bite. Perhaps toasting the bun will help. The fries were alright too- they aren't too crunchy but the seasoning is just right- not too salty and not too bland. Service was terrific! The person taking my order was so happy with a smile on their face the whole time. I also checked-in to redeem the ice cream but since they no longer offered that ice cream at the location, they made other accommodations. They were really friendly! read more

I like the snappy burgers. I like the fries. However, I would like to have more ketchup on my burger and at least some ketchup on my fries. For that reason, I specifically ask for some ketchup packets with my order. Once again today, and not for the first or third time, they ignored my request. If needed, I would pay extra for the ketchup. Instead, when I specifically ask if they included the ketchup and they flat out lie to me, it just guarantees that I'll no longer go back. In the wasteland that is fast food, Snappy stop stands out as a refuge. This small, local burger joint does burgers and does them well. Good value and decent ingredients on a real bun (as opposed to the 'fluff' buns you get at most fast food places). I always enjoy their burgers and they have yet to balk at a special request or mess up an order (try to say that for most fast food..). If you want a decent burger at a good price eat here.
