The locksmiths did an amazing job with our 100 year old wardrobe trunk. They avoided punching out the lock, deciphered the worn key code, and cut keys that opened it. Truly impressive. Both guys took the work seriously and explained what they were doing. A real pleasure to work with and a really tricky problem solved. Thanks again. read more

This is my go to place for keys and fobs. Reasonably priced and very good service from their employees.

Today I was locked out of my car this morning at the store. The store manager looked up this company. What a great choice. .... They arrived within 20-25 minutes of me getting them. I would use them again. read more

Courteous and Fast-Service at their Broad street location in Columbus, Ohio. The young man that took care of me had excellent customer service skills and took very little time cutting my keys and programming my fob. I cannot complain about the price either. I'm positive the dealership would have charged mesubstantially more to program my fob. read more

SCAM ALERT. Dishonest business. I called to get a price to cut a key from code. I was told it would be fifteen dollars. I told them exactly what it was for, just a standard key nothing special. After driving across town to get said key, I was told by the owner that the price was 135.00 dollars. They have the right to charge what they want but to quote me a price over the phone and then change it when I get there is horrible business practices. I will go out of my way to avoid this business. read more

Unreliable, unprofessional and unresponsive. Waited over 4 hours yesterday for help with my flat tire. Time estimate kept getting charged but only knew that because I called for updates when they didn't show up. Found a way to work. Called this morning to reschedule and phone rep got smart and said call your insurance company. A received a call from someone who was going to fix my tire and said that he was 30 minutes away. I asked for a call so that I can come outside he said okay. I got a call from my insurance company stating that they received a phone call stating they could not find my car. I called the company and asked if they had a corporate email address or mailing address. They said No and disconnected the call. I literally can't stand this company and would rather let my car sit for eternity than to deal with Pop A Lock! read more

AMAZING! The most professional and talented locksmith I have ever used. Gil and his team are polite and very effective. HIGHLY recommencd!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 2/10 SERVICE... the only good thing is they arrive quick. Had a shoot bolt door system replaced since door jammed up. They did a terrible job. The door handle is loose, the screw was burnt in and door wont shut properly. My flooring was damaged, the specially crafted door which is very expensive was worked on with a grinder to open and damaged extensively, the weather seals on the 2nd door was damaged due to improper handling of equipment. The manager does not provide safety equipment to the employees so it is a liability to the customer. The manager by the name of Gil is very disrespectful, unprofessional and should be replaced. When contacted about the damage, first thing mentioned is you were advised this would happen. There is nothing that they mentioned to me that this would happen. I would have went with a master locksmith. The employees should also be trained much better into handling different door systems. ***If you need to see the home surveillance in case any doubt in how it was handled, feel free to contact me read more

Very bad experience. I wanted to support a local business. I temper my review here by stating that everyone makes mistakes and no one's perfect. However-they were unable to properly install a new lock set on front door. Unnecessary drilling into my oak door. Key does not easily turn. Having another locksmith out to repair. They did offer to perform additional work- but I did not want to have further unnecessary tinkering with lock sets. To all reading this review- I am hopeful that the owner takes accountability for this experience and not create excuses. Left greasy finger prints all over my doors. Also attempted to have them replace a lock set on another door- charged me $75 for a $20 lock set. Did not even come close to match existing. Looked like a left over they had in the van. They did remove and refunded- but didn't bother reinstalling original- leaving a door with no knob. (I had a new one installed by different locksmith today). Left the condition of my locks much worse than when they started. I am a reasonable person - and was very hesitant to leave a negative review- but feel like this type of service needs to be reported. Right from the moment I called them up and explained what I needed, they were very polite and honest. The 60yr guy working at the store was very enthusiastic about addressing my need. All said my key was fabricated in 5mins. And at a fraction of cost of what others quoted! Highly recommend. read more

Lost our spare ford van key on a trip. Went to this location and the owner was very unfriendly. Wanted to charge more than the quote and cursed at me. I asked the armed guard at the internet gambling location nextdoor if he was always this surely and he laughed and said at least you are white. So, racist, angry crook who "somehow " disabled the lock and unlock functions of my original key. The identical key blank is available retail on line for under $50. He made $125 clear profit for 15 min and wanted more. Scary place and guy. Try anyone else. read more

I wanted to get a dead bolt put in and they quoted me 135 plus the cost of the lock which was 59.99 got a lock I later found on amazon for 19.99. When I expressed concern about the install cost he became upset and the conversation quickly turned into him shouting, swearing, and using racial slurs which I will not repeat. I was locked out of my car, the tec was late. After he was done I saw damage to my car door. After following his back to the shop the owner looked at it said it was like that when the tec started and just keep telling me they didn't do it. He started shouting at me and finally just walked away in the middle of a sentence. After getting in my car he came running out with the police on the line yelling "you didn't pay, I'm calling the cops". Then When I did pay the amount was more than what was quoted my the tec at time of repair. This is a dishonest business ran by a dishonest man. read more

Nice guy but not quality work. Installed a new front dooor lock 11 months ago, then had problems opening. I paid another service fee for him to fix, only two days later the lock jammed up. Called back to ask to fix and wanted to charge me another fee and new lock. I stated the lock should have a warranty per the manufacturer but he was not willing to honour that and charge me for a new lock and install. Bad customer service read more

This company charged me $180.00 to unlock the front door of my third floor condo. After I reluctantly paid I was told to go inside and lock the door to see if it worked. While I did so, the "tech" fled down my stairs. I was not provided a receipt. Customer service at Snap and Crack Locksmith consisted of raised, accusatory voices when I asked if it was their standard procedure to have their customers lock themselves inside while they flee, and the "manager" does not return calls. They have a website that guarantees 100% customer satisfaction, though! read more
