Bryan did a great job creating a key fob for my Nissan Rogue Sport, He gave me an advance call at PRECISELY the time he'd promised, then arrived at precisely one hour later, as he'd promised. He was finished in 20 minutes, creating a brand new fob with no template to work from. And the price was exactly what he'd quoted me. It was a bit pricey, as all such programmed keys are, but considering he kept all his promises, and it was still $170 LESS THAN THE dealer quoted me, I was very pleased. Horrible. Showed up to make a new key for my car and program it. Told me on the phone the total would be $240. He showed up and said it would take about 45 min. I sat on my porch and watched him. He got in the back of his little white van and sat in the dark for quite a while. I wondered to myself how he could possibly be making a key in total darkness. He got out of the van and sat in the driver's seat of my car for a few minutes, again, in total darkness. Just sitting there. Then, he came up toward my porch and claimed he had made 4 or 5 keys and they all worked in the door lock (I never saw ANY keys or him attempting to try any of them in the door) but wouldn't start the car. Tried to tell me my ignition must have been replaced at some point (it wasn't) and all he could offer me was a key that would unlock the doors. I informed him that that did me no good whatsoever; that I need to be able to DRIVE the car. He himmed and hawed for a couple of minutes, arguing with me about the ignition being replaced. He then said he charges a $50 service call just for showing up. I told him he never mentioned that on the phone to me. He asked if I was going to pay it and I said no. I didn't get any service from him. I hired him to do a job at a set price and he was unable to do the job. I still did not have a working car key, never saw any keys he supposedly made, never saw him trying ANY of the supposed keys in the door, never saw him try any of the supposed keys in the ignition - nothing - and I was not paying $50 for nothing. He then told me he would block me so I could never contact him again and I said that was absolutely fine. He then threatened to have me "blacklisted" by any other locksmiths in the area so nobody would help me. I told him to have a nice night, walked inside my house and locked the door behind me. I watched out the window to make sure he didn't mess with my car and that he did indeed leave the area. He was on security camera the entire time (with night vision) and review of the cam footage shows he did absolutely NOTHING. Avoid this scammer at all costs. I was able to find another locksmith the following day who made me TWO keys, plus a fob, very quickly and for $20 less than this jerk. read more
