I called Phil on a Friday afternoon. He was kind and pleasant over the phone. I was helping my…read moreparents schedule an appointment to have their door hardware replaced and re-keyed to a master key. Phil gave clear pricing to me on the charges and asked important questions about the hardware they selected -- informing me that some brands don't work with others. This was good information to pass along to my parents in case they needed to make any exchanges at the hardware store prior to his visit. I easily scheduled a next day, Saturday, appointment for them. It was easy to text Phil their address and contact information. On Saturday, Phil texted me and informed me that he was running a little ahead of schedule and could come about an hour or so early. My parents mentioned that he was respectful, courteous and a professional. I was told he wore his ID and explained all the work that he did. They said his work quality was excellent and that they we were happy with the results. Additionally, they said his pricing was fair. for three doors/knobs/re-keys. Phi at All Keyed Up is definitely someone we will use again in the future. We also have zero qualms about recommending his services to the Houston Yelp community.

I reached out to Heights River Oaks Houston Locksmith because I was interested in locksmith…read moreservices and expected a straightforward process. Unfortunately, the customer service was a dealbreaker. From the start, the lash that answered the call did not appear to want to help. I gave her my problem and she said ok, she could have someone out in 40 minutes but I had to pay for it now. Paying for it upfront prior to anyone showing is not common. I have used multiple different locksmiths for all my offices throughout Texas in the years and never once have they insisted on this. When I wasn't comfortable with it she said it was because they couldn't take payment on site. I told her I would pay the moment the locksmith stepped foot on my property by phone. Then somehow, miraculously, she was able to take half now then half when he showed up (even though she had just said she couldn't take payment on site). She then continued to yell (yes, she was already yelling at this point) at me when I said I would just leave my experience with their customer service for others. If you want to hear it I'm sure she could give you the recording as she said it was recorded and she would sue me if I left a bad experience review. In the end, I obviously decided not to proceed and went with another company that was responsive, honest, and respectful. Sharing this in case others value being treated fairly and respectfully as much as I do.

He was honest, respectful, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Pricing was fair and there were no surprises. If you're in Houston or the River Oaks area and need a locksmith, I highly recommend Matto at Heights River Oaks Locksmith. I'll definitely be calling him again if I ever need help in the future.
