I am a risk taker so when I see unfamiliar items on the menu, I go for it, and this menu has a lot of unfamiliar items! I had a breakfast dish with pork eggs and peppers that popped in my mouth with flavor. The beans are messy and cheesy, just like I like them and the tortillas are just crispy enough. We were promptly seated and served by the attentive and approachable staff. The were not annoyed when we asked for more time to make meal choices which I appreciated. Once done, we were not rushed to leave and lingered doing business for awhile without being pressured. It looks fresh and new, with a very distinct design. Seating inside is an option, but the covered patio is definitely preferred. It's a great vantage point to watch the crowds of guests coming in. The next visit was just as great. It is now a regular spot for me to go weekly!

Probably I was losing salt and water today so thats what my body wanted, so I delivered. Yelp ranked this place high and it was 10min from where I was so I stopped in this afternoon. This place was busy when I came here and I might have been the only non Spanish speaking person here but I felt right at home. Owner was nice to me and I asked for a fruit cup, he showed me the medium and the large and since I was pretty parched, I went with the large. I asked for mango, jicama and cucumber and hold the watermelon. In a few minutes, my order was ready and it was so delicious. I sat outside on one of their tables and enjoyed my refreshing afternoon snack. Prices very reasonable and not charging me $15, staff very nice and fruit was fresh and refreshing. Easy parking too. Ill definitely be back! Thank you!

There's no seating inside but they have a cute seating area outside. Unfortunately today it was super windy so we just got our smoothies to go. They have kind of a strange hodgepodge of items for sale inside, but they've obviously found that their clientele will buy other things. Some hair care, products, some kids, toys, batteries, popsicles, and candy. I got the peanut butter energizer smoothie. I had them add yogurt and whey protein to it. It was pretty tasty, but I think it would've been watery if I had not added the additional things. My man got the blueberry slapper smoothie and he also added whey protein to it. His was very light on flavor, I think they used too much ice. The only thing I really tasted out of that smoothie was a little bit of blueberry. It also had yogurt and oats, but it didn't have any sort of creaminess to it. They've got a really nicely sized menu with the sandwiches and açai bowls in addition to smoothies and fresh juices. I would try them out again.

No gloves while handling ready-to-eat fresh fruit -- and I also saw cooks handling salads and…read moresandwiches with their bare hands. California Health and Safety Code § 113961(b) requires ready-to-eat food to be handled without bare-hand contact, using a barrier such as gloves, tongs, deli tissue, or another appropriate utensil. Last night, I came in and ended up giving my food away because I was so uncomfortable with what I saw. After cleaning the restroom, an employee immediately went over to handle and cut my fruit with her bare hands and then served it to me. That was extremely concerning from a food-safety standpoint. Employees are being paid to prepare and serve food safely, and basic sanitation should be the bare minimum when handling fresh produce and other ready-to-eat foods. I have photos showing employees handling food with their bare hands. I plan to contact the manager and, depending on how this is addressed, the San Diego County health department as well. The food quality and sanitation standards seem to have gone downhill. I hope management takes this seriously and corrects the issue immediately. There's absolutely no reason why any bare hand should be touching customers, fruit or food. This is supposed to be marketed as "fresh food @ and produce, but it loses that quality as soon as employees touch with their bare hands they are not at their house preparing food they're at an establishment. Please call them out if they're handling your food with their bare hands that is illegal
