I truly hate to write this review because this place used to be a weekly Friday routine for my family. We've been loyal customers for years, but lately, the experience has become deeply disappointing and frankly, unappetizing. The main issue is the overall decline in cleanliness, which makes you seriously question what things must look like "behind the scenes." About half of the machines were out of order. The ones that did work were dispensing a watery liquid into the cup before the actual frozen yogurt came out--not exactly appealing. They were out of sample cups and were allowing people to use (and reuse!) their spoons directly for sampling. That is a major health and cleanliness red flag. The tables and chairs were visibly sticky, as were the handles on the yogurt dispensers. It felt dirty everywhere we touched. We decided that this would be our "farewell yogurt cup" but even our favorite flavor wasn't as delicious as it once was. This sad experience is not worth the $5.99 anymore, even for the "unlimited weight" offer, especially since those cups seem to have gotten smaller, too. As for the bathroom... it deserves its own, entirely separate Yelp review, but since I just ate (sort of), I'll spare you the details. It's a shame to say goodbye, but until there's a serious commitment to cleaning up this location, we won't be back. The yogurt and service we recieve here are always a welcomed treat. The decor is bright with color and plently of seating. But i must say the only issue i have seen of late is cleaning. The walls have some uncleaned spills, which are to be expected to happen with young children, but should have been cleaned. Under the bech seating hasn't been scubbed clean in weeks. We decided not to get yogurt since we were so grossed out but we needed to use the restroom. No possible way on earth we would use the bathroom either. First and foremost, the customer service is not up to par at ALL, which is kind of ironic considering there are signs inside on the walls saying how important their customer service is to them. Next, half of the machines were not working at all and seemed to be way too frozen to where it would barely come out. Lastly, the only employee in the store, brown hair wearing glasses, had airpods in and was too busy on his phone. We get our yogurt and sit in the car to eat. We're fans of this place, especially in the Summer. We're usually here early; the place has always been clean and the server has also always been nice. They play music from the 60's and it's nice and cool inside (obviously). The kids are into bike rides, so this place becomes a destination sometimes. We've only done their $5 promotional cups. They also have smoothies and hand scooped ice cream. The toppings bar is probably everyone's favorite part. The establishment itself is very dirty and sticky everywhere. The employee there was mopping as we walked in and went straight to the register without washing his hands. Another employee came out from the back, put a chair on top of one of the tables to fix a camera,(extremely uncomfortable for us and unsafe), and didn't wipe down the table after him stepping all over it. They advertise a flat fee cup and they have run out of the cups three of the times I have gone into this establishment and when you are a mother with 4 kids that can affect you significantly. How are you supposed to tell your kids that we now can't get it because we can't afford it. So instead we try to have our kids fill them so that we can afford them. This is making the establishments issue now my issue. Instead you as a company need to have an alternative for every time you "run out" of the flat rate cups. If this was a one time thing I wouldn't be leaving this review. Tonight was the last straw and to continually run out of something and then put that burden on to the customer instead of doing something to remedy it like have an alternative cup or offer a discount is bad customer service. The yogurt is pretty good when it's working. The employees are very uninterested in customer service. They have a deal where you fill up the special cup for a set price but you really never know if they actually have the cups in stock and when you get there they'll just shrug and say "we don't have any of the cups". Today I went at 828 and the door open lights are on and he said they were closed - door still says 9 but I guess they close at 830 now. Just kind of seems like they don't care at all so then I wonder if thats why sometimes the yogurt tastes a little off. Occupying the former "Muffin Break" location, Yogurt Heaven is a positive addition to this Escondido shopping center. While the flavors are pretty tame compared to places like Menchies and Yougurtland they were pretty good nonetheless. I love tangy tart plain yogurt and these guys delivered. They also seemed to sell ice-cream too but seemed a bit out of place. This place does serve ice cream and the whipped cream is a plus; however, their frozen yogurt was a little on the icy side. The mint chip was delicious and so was the cookies and cream; however, some of the flavors tasted a little to much on the artificial side. Their toppings are standard (chocolate chips, granola, fruit, etc) but much more limited in selection than other froyo places (Yogurtland, Menchies, Mia Bella, etc). The guy there watches me fill my cup high. I love their yogurt and I'm excited. I go up to pay and he starts shaking his head and tells me it's unfair to other customers to get so much. Tells me to put down the cup and leave. That I'm banned from the store for life. No warnings. Nothing. I didn't make a mess, didn't make a scene. Couldn't pay for what I had already dispensed.
