Arrival was completely effortless with their generous, convenient parking right outside always a welcome touch. Stepping inside, I was thoroughly impressed by the ambiance. The interior design is impeccably executed, featuring a lovely private bar, a cozy fireplace, and an atmosphere that is ideal for intimate dates, casual meetups, or elegant birthday celebrations. It is a total hit! To begin, I ordered the Sorbet Mimosa in Mango, which was delightfully refreshing, beautifully presented, and utterly divine. My assistant took advantage of their splendid Thursday half-off appetizer specials, while I selected the Scotch Egg for my luncheon. When our meals arrived, every dish was executed to absolute perfection. Our server, Lina, was extraordinary remarkably patient, gracious, and attentive throughout our visit. Rustic Spoon delivers top-tier hospitality, divine flavors, and a stunning ambiance. Five stars without hesitation I shall most certainly be returning

The noise level was not crazy and we were greeted by our server shortly after being seated. We had several of the drink options, including some local IPA's and the famous Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager. We ordered some of the burgers that were half-off, being the Wednesday Special, and Steak Bite appetizers among other delicious items. We like Rustic Spoon quite a bit and look forward to a return visit!

Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. Only downside was some pretentious guy named Jeff kept whining about the hostess and the service being "special needs" because he couldn't get his group prompt service under 15 minutes on a special holiday. If it wasn't for some derogative guy whining off the bell about how the service wasn't up to par every couple minutes I'd have enjoyed what would've been quite a depressing day for me. Other than that, burger was damn heavenly. Beer was cold and good. Service was grand. Some people just ruin it for others. Great spot, great burger, good beer and good folks. B.W.

I haven't visited 1608 Crafthouse much, which is a shame because I've always enjoyed their food and…read moreservice. The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

The mug club you get a full mug (so 24 oz) for the price of one pint. I have to ask if there's rules on what beer you order but that will be in the next review.... on to the food! My husband got the shepherds pie and he said this was an easy 10/10 the lamb was cooked perfectly. Great seasoning and overall flavor this is a hit. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage... man it's going to be hard to try other things on the menu because this was actually perfect. Well, one thing I would LOVE to see is some gravy on the mashed potatoes or even on the side. The potatoes taste great themselves but something in this dish is lacking diverse flavor I feel like that would have brought everything together to make it 10/10. I will still get it again though! Beware for all of my savory people... the cabbage is cooked to have a sweeter taste idk if I loved that but I added a little salt and it was fine. Carrots and mustard were great additions. Needless to say, I rarely ever finish my entire place and I stuffed myself full of corned beef to make sure I got every left bit. Can't wait to come back and try the fish and chips next!
