Never actually got to use them so I can't speak to the work itself but I called twice on two different days, left a voicemail both times, and never heard back from anyone. That's kind of all I need to know honestly. If you can't return a phone call I'm not trusting you with my applicance. Moved on and found someone else who actually picked up the phone. Hope other people have better luck but I can't recommend a place that doesn't respond to new customers. read more

The rep knew her stuff and told me that the 12 year old washer's parts are discontinued. She didn't try to chase the $90 tech visit fee and just said if by some miracle we can order the parts it'll still cost another $300 minimum and we're better off buying a new one. Very happy with these folks which is very rare for me having a good experience with an appliance repair company! A few months ago,I called them up and told them what was wrong with my refrigerator and without trying to get me to even make an appointment, they gave me a rough idea of what was probably wrong with my unit because they see many problems with this specific LG model refrigerator and gave me a rough idea of what it would cost over the phone. I absolutely love that because I didn't feel like I was going to be taken for a service charge and then if I decline the repair I'd be out the 95$ and end up having to throw out the refrigerator. They sent a very nice gentleman named Mikhail, who took care of the problem for me and I was charged exactly what they told me I would be charged. He was incredibly efficient and I happen to like to speak tech talk so he was kind enough to explain to me exactly what was going on and two and a half hours later, I had a working refrigerator again and so far so good. I spent a crapload of $ on a brand new, top of the line LG refrigerator. Everyone told us that the ice maker would break, or the compressor would need repair in no time at all. Instead, it was the handle of the "door-in-the-door" feature that went bad. Somehow, last December, some cheap plastic part inside the door went bad after our first couple of weeks owning the refrigerator, and that damned little door wouldn't stay shut without us using some painter's tape. I called SMV Repair (can't remember how I found them), but they came the following day, a Friday. One man arrived on time, and was a little surprised to see the new design. He had never fixed something like this before. I myself am pretty handy, mechanically minded and intuitive... but I didn't want to take the chance and break something accidentally (as has been known to happen). He went at it with his screwdriver and figured it out pretty quickly. I don't even think he needed to replace a part... we actually threw a piece of plastic away, and he put everything else back in place. Now, it's 6 months later, and the thing still works beautifully. These folks were fantastic, and about 1/2 the price of the next best quote. The phone rep knew her stuff, and quoted me for 2 possible contingencies for my repair. They were available the next day; the repair person came while we were out (for COVID reasons), completed the job promptly and left the laundry area perfectly clean and well-organized. (We have a LG combo washer-dryer, which has a well-known issue of internal lint build-up over the years. In our case, we also needed a new drain pump.) read more

I have LG Styler, steam closet. It worked fine for over a year and then got broken. I contacted to LG company. Another year and a half I spent talking to different departments, trying to contact authorized LG repair services that LG provided me with and assured that they would fix my problem. Repair services told me they don't know this product and don't have any technician who know how to deal with it. I went through the seven layers of hell dealing with LG on this matter. Few months ago LG gave me SMV Repair company's phone number and I was shocked when the manager, Marina, told me that the technician, Michael, would come and take a look at Styler. Michael came and was able to fix it. I would highly recommend SMV Repair Company. Marina was very helpful and was always returning my calls and answering my questions. Called them Monday night about a broken refrigerator - the woman handling the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to give me quotes based on what the 3-4 most likely scenarios would be. A technician was at my apartment Wednesday 11am. My technician was incredibly informative, clearly laying out the possible issues before he got to work and confirmed the issue. He found the bad compressor - a known LG issue for a certain range of models 5+ years old - and was able to do an in warranty repair. LG repair authorized so they had the compressor on hand, fix was done same day as initial visit. Complete process took 2.5 hours. Professional, respectful, wore a mask! i call today(june 23rd 2021) and a nasty lady answered the phone, i had a service, they never called me at all to confirm and to know what seems to be the issue, then she try to tell me that they need to replace the board of the machine, even do they do not even know what seems to be the issue and she was upset that i even asked her this, she also stated they will come multiple times to my home and she didn't care that i am a person of risk and i know what is the issue with the machine, a simple issue that happened in the past, the drain pump is defective and needs to be replaced, but again the lady who stated was the manager marina, continue being angry and hang up on me......disgusting trying to make money out of disabled customers. then 30 minutes later she calls me over the phone and asked me if i want the service anyway....i don't deal with scammers, so the answer is no read more

Terrible customer service... Used as a 3rd party contractor for Sear Protection Agreements they came changed a small part and left. They were supposed to call me the next day to see if the washer was working (it was not and they knew it wouldn't be) I had to call them and was told the tech requested more parts be ordered. Parts were ordered (which caused more delay) and sent to me. Tech returned, replaced agitator, left. Still not working, called again to find out he wanted a transmission and "some other parts) ordered, again had to wait to be delivered. Parts being delivered today and they refuse to make an appt for tomorrow when earlier in the week I was told they have more than one tech and getting someone there would not be a problem. I am a senior citizen with health issues who cannot get to a laundromat and have been without a washer going on to almost a month now. The PA calls for Sears to replace the washer if it cannot be repaired and they refuse to make that determination. Instead they keep sending a tech who is taking guesses at what is wrong and ordering part after part extending this nightmare. I was told by Sears after the initial visit he should have ordered all the parts that might be necessary and it should have been repaired in the 2nd visit. I have already opened a complaint with the BBB for Sears... Now leaning towards "7 on your side" with Nina Pineda to pay a visit to SMV (which by the way when I asked the name of the visit Marina told me it was SMW... a total scam operation.) read more

Marina at the office was a pleasure to work with. She was responsible and really assisted me when my fridge didn't cool anymore. She helped give me an accurate timeline of when the repairman would show up. The repairman showed as promised and explained all the tools he was going to use beforehand. Our LG refrigerator was leaking inside and water collected under the fruit and vegetable drawers. This happened for a few days such that I was drying out the water at least once per day. I found a few videos on YouTube that all had the same problem which seemed to be ice forming inside the rear panel. It appeared to be something to fix at home but I was not confident that we could do it alone and I was also concerned that we might not find the real problem or ruin the pricey refrigerator. In the end, we called LG who recommended SMV repair. We got on the schedule for later that same week. Mikhail checked the inside panel and that was not the issue (same issue on YouTube) and it turned out to be an issue at the rear of the refrigerator with a clogged hose. Mikhail explained everything that he was doing, step by step, and explained to me how the refrigerator works. Everything was fixed in about 30 minutes for $130 plus tax (paid with credit). We would certainly use SMV again and recommend them. read more
