I love coming here after a workout to get a post workout smoothie. It's very convenient since it's so close to me. The staff always greet me warmly when I walk in. I've only really stuck to the peanut power plus with chocolate. Haven't tried a lot from the menu but a few of their be well smoothies which are also great. They have a nice variety of options and my smoothie always comes out nice and smooth. The only downside really for me is the seating inside which seems to be a bit outdated. I don't really stay and sit often but I do think the chairs could use some replacing. They're all taped up, its not really comfortable to sit and not very appealing to look at lol read more

Came in to try SK and the Xtreme Watermelon Smoothie did not disappoint! It was bright and refreshing, not at all overly sweet. The service Albert provided was attentive and friendly. The shop was clean and fairly empty when I ordered, but as soon as our order was ready, two other groups arrived. Be sure to check the Smoothie King app for rewards. I got a $3 off coupon just for downloading the app! read more

Apparently the review from a year ago about closing at 10:30 did nothing. We just had the same experience. Showed up at 10:00 and was told they were closed read more

I had an amazing workout and as always after I come spend money at smoothie king. The advertised hour of closing is 10:30. I arrived here at the smoothie king on 1611 Rockville pike and found the open sing still lit on but the employee closing up the store and already washing floors. Soon as we asked what was going on he came out and shut the door! Never coming back this place is not dependable to its loyal customers! read more

The experience depends on the day you go. Most of the time you'll be waiting over 30 minutes for your smoothie and there is only one worker; struggling to keep up with in store and mobile orders. The employees aren't the friendliest but I'm sure they're trying not to stress themselves out. I will say that the smoothies are always consistent and good. The wait time and the feel inside the store is what really kills it for me. I do cross my fingers every time I go in because when they're fulling staffed and moving efficiently it's like a world of difference. read more

Service: 3/5 Smoothie: 4/5 It was my first time trying Smoothie King, so I was unsure what I was getting myself into. However, it seems like they had a variety of smoothie types, depending on if you want to stay slim, get fit, be well, or take a break. You could also add enhancers, extra, or additional fruits/veggies to your smoothie to customize it to your liking. From order time to receiving the smoothies, it took 15 minutes, and I had received my smoothie before others even though some other people had ordered their smoothie before mine. The folks making our smoothies also did not apologies for the delayed time. In addition, I was informed on Fridays, they have a medium smoothie for 5$; however, I was charged a little over $6 for a medium smoothie, which is fine, but I was perplexed if I misheard the staff or if I was told the wrong price. I had ordered a "Get Slim" Mango-Pineapple smoothie with Greek yogurt. It wasn't too sweet, which I loved, and it tasted healthy. I thought it was quite delicious, and I loved that I came in on a Friday for the deal since I didn't realize that was occurring. They have quite a variety of options! I would give this place another chance but I'm rating this a 4/5 since I was not impressed by the smoothie taste and the staff/wait time gave me an initial sour impression. read more

I was craving a smoothie and just happened to pass by Smoothie King. I went inside and was dumbfounded by all of the different choices. Also, that this store was selling health powders, health bars, and other assorted health related items. I ordered a children's smoothie, so I could keep my calories on the lower side. I was not impressed by the cleanliness standards. It seemed like there was such a rush to fill orders that blenders were just rinsed and reused. Also, that water being used was being pumped out of a plastic jar. I waited patiently as two other people were taken ahead of me. I assume the children's size was not as important, as the larger orders. When, my order finally came up, the smoothie did not fill the glass and the server had to add more ingredients to make it complete. Kudos to him, for recognizing the error and correcting it. I did wait about 15 minutes for my smoothie. The smoothie itself was delicious. The only problem is that it had an aftertaste from one of the protein powders. I was definitely not used to that taste. It didn't stop me from finishing my drink. I will probably head back down to Bethesda the next time I crave a smoothie. I hope this business can work some t.l.c. on this store and make some constructive improvements. read more

It was my first time here and so I didn't really know which Smoothie to order. I went on a whim and decided to order the Island Impact (listed under Slim Blends) only because of what was in it - mangoes, pineapple, papaya juice blend, protein blend, apple pineapple juice blend - I got the mid-size. I lucked out because it was quite delicious. Looking forward to getting that again. I also got a Larry & Lenny cookie as well - they had several choices right in front of where you pay. I randomly selected one without looking to see the choice - I knew it had sprinkles. It stated it was plant-based - I didn't see that until after I had purchased the cookie. Not knowing what that would taste like, I decided to still eat it anyways and I really enjoyed it - plus it was chewy. I will certainly go back to get just those 2 items. read more

If yall don't actually close at 10:30 then change your hours. I walked in at 10 and the employee just said "too late". nothing else. 0/10

Today I almost went into this establishment, glad I didn't because the manager as you can see in the picture was no wearing a mask. The order states that individuals will be required to wear face coverings in the following locations: Foodservice establishments, including those who sell food for delivery, carryout, or via a drive-thru Grocery, convenience stores and other places that sell nonprepared food Pharmacies Liquor stores Stores that sell household safety, sanitation or maintenance supplies Laundromats Taxis and ride-sharing services Buses, trains, light rails and subways The staff of such businesses are required to wear face coverings when working in areas open to the public. The order specifies the mandate extends only to customers who are 9-year-old or older. Those with children between the ages of 2 and nine should use "reasonable efforts" to have those individuals use face coverings." So with that being said the Manager herself did not wear a mask or gloves but the employee that was there did, see picture attached. Then a couple of customers came and had a mask but then 2 young ladies came and had no type of mask and still were served. I called and stated what I saw and she lied and said that everyone working had a mask, I told her I saw her without a mask and no gloves making smoothies. But she argued and said she was, plus I told her about the customers who had no mask and she said that the Owner told her that everyone needs to be served with out without mask. What a shame of an example this place is given to the public read more

The service at this location is ok and the drinks are made correctly. Everyone should be aware that the incentive for filling out the customer service survey requires not only a smart phone, but the use of the app. This information is not shared up front and the "customer service" email rep is quite rude about it. read more

This Smoothie King location is inside of Congressional Plaza off of Rockville Pike. I come here almost every time I am in the area, the staff are very friendly and smoothies are made quickly! I always order the Green Tea Tango which comes with Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Turbinado, Protein Blend, Matcha Green Tea, choice of one fruit or veggie. I usually select banana for my choice of fruit or veggie. Smoothie King's menu has a huge selection with lots of options to modify any pre-listed items. I am always happy with my order and this is why I keep coming back :) This location has lots of parking available, there is a huge parking lot shared with multiple retailers. Despite having such a huge parking lot, it can get super packed on weekends since there are so many popular retailers in Congressional Plaza. I would definitely recommend this Smoothie King location and will be back here soon! :) read more

Aside from Smoothie King being overpriced (the smallest size is over $5) the smoothies are good. For protein smoothies, I recommend The Hulk with strawberry ice cream. For non-protein, try Passion Passport. Tip: they typically add more than enough ingredients so there's always overflow. Ask for the extra :) read more

The fruit they use is all defrosted fruit. The table with all the fruits and protein powders did not look appetizing or fresh. My mango kale smoothie just tasted like banana.... I don't taste ANY mango or kale. There's just a bit of green. They also just use syrups and water for base if you're having a smoothie with a juice base. Good thing I like banana! read more

The woman working here tonight (Rockville Pike/Congressional) was so incredibly nice and efficient and worked so hard to get everything made. She had constant phone, online and in-person orders. The people here are always super nice, but they are extremely understaffed. I always wait at minimum 30 minutes for my order. Came by with my two little, but active guys. Ordered a Strawberry Kiwi Breeze for myself and a Kiwi-bunga for the boys to share. The young lady working was soooo friendly and sweet. Tired of plaxing orders ahead of time when they are never ready!!! They give in person priority and they come in after. The men working are overwhelmed and on the slow side. Ordered a smoothie online an hour before it was due to be picked up. Got there the smoothie King representative was not wearing his name tag, the smoothie came out 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be picked up and he proceeded to wait on other customers and serve them before. It's on sat, and when I asked to get a refund for my money, he mentioned he did not know how. Period how do you run a business and not know how to do customer service or handle money. read more

After going back to smoothie king a few more times throughout the year i ended up finding a smoothie king smoothie i really enjoy. The Shredder smoothie, i get vanilla flavor and its absolutely delicious and with added cinnamon its great. I was upset it was no longer on the menu but the staff said i can still order it so was super excited about that. And i use the getupside app to get around 16% to 20% cash back on my orders which is great. read more

Not sure if the staff member was new. It took significantly longer than usual for a smoothie to be made. I ordered a Caribbean Way and ordered BEFORE the person AFTER me and he received his smoothie before me. Once I got my smoothie, it was not the color it usually is if it was made correctly (see photos). The person after me was in a rush as well and she received her smoothie before me... I was pretty angry and mentioned it to the gentleman that made my smoothie how the nice Hispanic girl that normally works there makes it the right way every time. I come to this Smoothie King pretty often so I notice an issue with my smoothie if it's not made right... I rated a 5 for him correcting the issue I had and fixing the smoothie. Kudos to the new guy for at least trying and resolving my smoothie problem! I left with a Caribbean Way made the RIGHT way. Only downfall is he needs to work on his timing skills. Luckily I wasn't in much of a hurry but I was getting pretty inpatient. Overall, I'll still continue going to this Smoothie King. read more

Pretty good smoothie king. I always stop in when I am on my to Hallmark. I've been here about 3 times. Very clean establishment and friendly staff. Be sure to check to ensure they captured your additions or subtractions from the recipes. I ordered a Lean 1 substituting vanilla protein for strawberry protein and they didn't substitute. I didn't feel like waiting for another one to be so I left. I'll just confirm once they start making the smoothie. read more

I get Sunday evenings ala 5:20pm can be fairly dead. However I took my chances here. Walking past the door the employee on duty was lounging on the red seats just past the entrance playing on his phone. He didnt bother moving even when I past rt by him. I looked at the front end waiting for maybe another employee to come out but nope. it was just the lounger. Figuring I was not going to get any service I left. ONLY THEN did he even attempt to stand up and head to back of counter. Service is definitely lacking from this individual. And should be addressed. Hell they should check the cameras to see how long he was just sitting there. Took my business elsewhere. Apparently as you can see from the photo noone wants to work at this location read more

Smoothie King - What in the photo at 5:30 on a sunday evening? 1 Dec. 2019. Not a damn employee in sight - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Rockville, Maryland

I come to this Smoothie King every now and then. I have to say that the gentlemen who is always there is very knowledgeable about smoothies and knows how to adhere to the needs of the customer. Unfortunately, however, in the more recent visits I have made to this smoothie king, I have noticed he is alone. There are times that I have been here and there is a line because he is alone. Now, I enjoy my Angel Food and Vanilla Hulk smoothies from this location because they make them the way they are supposed to be made. Management really needs to revise their tactics with keeping this place staffed, as unfortunately, as a customer, I personally feel it is not fair to only have one employee working while the store has several customers at once. To the gentlemen who works here, my respects for you sir, as I can't imagine how hard it must be to have to take orders and prepare multiple smoothies all at once. The only reason why I am giving this location a 5 star review is because of this gentlemen's customer service skills. read more

DISGUSTING SERVICE PROVIDED BY THIS GUY IN THE VIDEO. As soon as I entered the store I saw him watching movies. I stood in front of the cashier and he brought his phone with him and continue watching movies in front of me. I asked him how big was the 20oz cup and he pointed at it without even looking at the cup while continuing watching his movie. I asked him what was his problem and he said it is a slow day. I go to Smoothie King just about everyday in Bethesda. Sometimes I am out in Rockville and I stop in here. This is by far the slowest and most painful place to order a smoothie because you will spend 10 to 20 minutes in here.
