I want to commend the head person at the Waugh Chapel store for their assistance. They immediately asked if I needed medical attention, and then again, until I explained my situation. This is good for all of us as they have had some excellent deals. The Smoothie King app on your phone can reveal some excellent deals once you check in the store. They offer coupons via mail which are nice as they have an expiration date that is far in the future so toss them in your glove compartment for next time you are on the run and need a quick standby to hold you over. In fact I still have some I am using. I have been here many times and try to get something new on each trip. This is easy as they always offer new flavors to try. If you're watching your weight, they even have options for a smoothie meal replacement. I chose the Caribbean Way medium smoothie and was very happy with it. It didn't have an overpower taste of just one thing but a balance of many things. I was happy to hear that on Monday's they offer a $5 special for the medium. For those who prefer to download the app; you accumulate points when you the barcode shown on your phone scanned each visit. You should change your posted closing time to 8:45 PM instead of 9 PM. I walked in tonight at 8:45 PM and was refused service because the young lady behind the counter said your store would be closing in about 10 minutes. I went across the parking lot to the Kung Fu Tea shop that also closes at 9 PM, and got a smoothie from them. You know there were few people in line at the store. At 9 pm (their designated closing time) they turned off the 'open" sign and locked the door. Then let the rest of us out as we were served. Also, their smoothie was pretty good. I do not like how the cashier Miss Emily addressed me. I was unaware of the closing times of the store, and was recommending the location to my mom via phone. While recommending the location to my mother on the phone Miss Emily rudely interrupted me saying in a stern tone of voice" I'm gonna tell you right now I'm locking that door in seven minutes". I love Smoothie King. Everything there is so delicious. You can also mix in protein powders and caffeine if you need a little something extra. On Mondays they are currently running a special where you can get a 32 oz smoothie for $5. That's the normal price of a 16 ounce. I'm no math wiz, but that's like getting 2 small drinks for the same price as you'd pay for one any other day of the week (you're welcome). Every time I've ever been to this location is isn't busy, so no worries if you're in a rush. The only thing I wish was that they weren't in a strip mall where I had to go inside to order. There were a few customers and the girls behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The walls were brightly painted, I'm talking yellow and orange, and everything was clean. Almost looked like a candy store. I took a look at the large menu on the back wall to find out that SK is actually like a fitness smoothie place. First you choose a flavor under the sub-menu of Stay Healthy, Get Energy, Trim Down, Build Up or Snack Right. Thennnn you can add an extra 'enhancer' of something like energy (?!), caffeine, a probiotic, etc. A little bit of a hard choice... but I know you can leave your 'friendly' bacteria' in a jar out of my smoothie. I went with the Strawberry X-treme, under Snack Right (*secretly cries* - I just want a tasty strawberry smoothie!!). I mean they also do have the little menu that has actual shakes and less health pushy stuff but whatever, I'd try this one. It has protein in it also. I figured it would be whey, and it was. Whey leaves a bit of a chalky/grainy texture in your mouth. It's kindof unpleasant but the smoothie was pretty good. A little less than $5 for a small, kinda pricey. But the small size was actually decent, it was like a medium/regular size elsewhere. I probably wouldn't go back. If I want a smoothie I'll just buy some fruit and do it myself. 3 stars, just not really my thing. read more

Smoothie King is one of the best smoothie places I've been to, Tropical Smoothie being the top one. Smoothie king would be number one if they sold food. The staff here are young but have their s*** together unlike a lot of other places with young staff. They are persistent with your order, knowledgable, and friendly. The store is very clean and welcoming. My husband likes to get the most fattening thing on the menu called "The Hulk" and let me tell you it is very tasty. I get the peanut butter and chocolate one and it is delicious every time. It's around $6 for a regular smoothie, which its more like a large to extra large in size. Smoothie King Crofton was my first intro to the business and their smoothies. I will say they are NOTHING like any other I've ever tasted. Yummy! Although it takes a little while to make the smoothies, it is worth the wait. So if I'm in a hurry, I just call ahead.
