We ordered a celery juice and another juice with beets, carrots, lemon, and ginger--both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want from a quality juice spot. You can definitely tell they use good ingredients, and the combinations work really well. That said, the biggest downside is the pricing. Paying nearly $25 for two juices feels pretty steep, even for a place like this. It takes away from what would otherwise be a really solid stop. If price isn't a concern, it's worth checking out for the quality alone. But for me, it's probably more of an occasional treat than a regular go-to.

Staff are always super friendly and coffee and tea are great! Only complaint is a few times the black coffee has been lukewarm in the afternoons. The vibe is exactly what I like quiet, relaxed, and perfect if you need to sit down and get some work done or just reset for a bit. The staff was super friendly and welcoming which always makes the experience better. I'm not really a coffee girl, so I ordered a matcha with almond milk and it was really good smooth, not too strong, and made just right. I also grabbed a muffin and I wish I remembered the name because it was delicious. I only stayed for about an hour, but I'll definitely be back. If you're in the area and looking for a low key spot with good drinks and a chill atmosphere, this is a great place to check out.

There was a corn in a cup, which is typical, but this was served in a plate with hot Cheetos all around, oozing with cheese spilling from the cup. Foods are extravagant. I got a paleta de fresa in the end. I will definitely come back here for a sweet treat

They (more like just HE) make delicious food, smoothies, and fresh fruit cups. While in town for work we took to the tunnels to explore the breakfast options. After roaming around a bit we came to FdF and I knew I had to try it. The location is small but the menu is not: so many options and they all sound great! The fresh fruit options alone will boggle your mind. We went with the breakfast tacos and I got a smoothie. Wow! Both were DELICIOUS and made to order. Not only that, but the guy that served them was ready, willing, and eager to satisfy any request and with a smile. He is just a genuinely nice guy. Surprised as I was to see how long this little spot has been around (as evidenced by Yelp) I'm actually not... I could see this having a loyal following - heck, count me among them even though I only make it to Dallas (maybe) twice a year!

100/100 EXPERIENCE!…read more My mother and I visited Recipe in Oak Cliff for the first time, and let me just say--this is the cutest little restaurant that packs a BIG punch! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the nicest gentleman who took our order and made us feel right at home. We ordered two taco salads and some of their natural Kool-Aid, and everything was delicious! But what really made this experience special was the community. While we were there, other vegan patrons started coming in, and somehow we ended up having an hour-long conversation with fellow plant-based food lovers. It felt less like we were simply eating at a restaurant and more like we were connecting with good people in a welcoming community. And the timing couldn't have been more perfect for me. I've been doing a raw detox all week, so finding a place where I felt completely comfortable with the food, the atmosphere, and the service was such a win! Good food. Good people. Good energy. Wonderful community. Everything about our experience was 100/100, and I already know my mother and I will definitely be back! If you're in Dallas/Oak Cliff and looking for delicious plant-based food with a welcoming atmosphere, put Recipe on your list!
