Fast service but my smoothie that I get every time on Forrest dr (angel food) tastes like watered down plastic at this location

I love smoothie King period. I went a little before closing and it was my first time at this location. I had my go to lemon twist strawberry. What i love is the consistency of the brand. If you don't like sweet I will advise getting half sweetener. I have never tried anything other than take a break blends so i can't give advice on any other flavours. 1st time and the last time. Recieved a $4.99 coupon for a 20oz smoothy, I showed the salesman the coupon and asked what it covered. They told me any 20 oz smoothy, I asked if they had a piña colada smoothy? The girl asked the another employee. He said with coconut water and yogurt they could make one. Then the charged my card and it came to $8.67. I ask why it was so much, did you add the coupon I gave her. She had Not. After revision the price was still to high. When I asked why? The other employee explained that they added Coconut water and Yogurt, and that was an additional $2.20. I asked for a refund. The refund he gave me was less that the original charge, after asking why? He could not figure it out and gave me some change back. The manager (I assume bc she was wearing a collard shirt) at 11:30 on 6/29 was berating the other employee in front of customers. Clearly making the one employee uncomfortable and everyone else in the store. The women continues to complain and say "she's so mad" the whole time I was there. I honestly feel bad for the one employee trying her best. This is not how you carry a team. She needs to do better. No one wants to work in an environment like this. Staff here is super friendly. Service is quick & location is clean. Parking can be difficult as it is in a busy spot. I got the same smoothie 2x that I went there but it tasted different each time I went there. Both times it tastes good & the consistency was perfect. I've always been a Smoothie King fan. Their smoothies are always top notch. I enjoy them so much and always like navigating their impressive menu of concoctions; there's so many to choose from. This review is more focused towards the customer service. I appreciated the responsiveness and enthusiasm of the staff upon entering the shop. They were quick to welcome me. They said "Hi welcome to Smoothie King!". I approached the cashier and they asked "What can I get for you today?", I pulled out a quarter from my pants pocket and slammed it on the bar, slightly pushing it towards the register, "I'll get a Green Tea Tango...20 oz." lifting my hand. "Okay sir, that'll be $5.25" I proceeded to pull out five spare $1 bills from my other pocket. After making my order and waiting a few minutes, I was surprised to discover that they kindly upgraded me to a 32oz...which I'm still impressed thats even a medium size. 32oz. can feed a family three easily. I ordered ahead to save time and when I got there my smoothies weren't ready. However, I needed to change one of my orders, of which the worker was happy to do, so that worked out. Then it went downhill. I waited for a half hour to get my smoothies and they had to remake both of them twice. One of the smoothies the worker took upon herself to remake because it was "runny" and the other was made incorrectly. The cups weren't filled up all the way and even after making them both twice, the one still tasted like nothing but water. I used multiple $2 rewards but threw one of the smoothies away it was so bad so I completely wasted my rewards. In addition, I had to wait so long I got a parking ticket. I will be finding it difficult to return to this location out of fear of recreating this situaction. read more

Store has a sign at register promoting contact less pay with mobile app but store has no scanner. Young employees had no idea why. First location I have been to not to have one. Had to cancel register and make a mobile order standing in store to pay. Otherwise clean location and standard Smoothie King quality. read more

This is the first time that I have ever written a review on an establishment, but I thought that this was necessary. I was in this location 1205 Lincoln Street*Columbia, SC approximately 7:50 a.m. this morning 01/08/19. I'm not sure if the young lady was having a bad morning or just plan NASTY herself. I placed my order for a Vegan Kale Smoothie minus apple juice add strawberry. She then go on to ask do you have a app. I said no then that must have pissed her day off because that when ALL HELL broke loose. She then rolled her eyes and dropped my money on the counter. I looked at her didn't say a word. Once my order was completed I told her to have a nice day she never said that you or you welcome or nothing. So I asked her name and she still said nothing. I will find who she is an make sure that your corporate is aware of this action as well as the manager of this store. Any and everyone knows this is no way to conduct business for a company you work for AT ALL...I hope know one experience what I did this morning or no other day...Smoothie King please make sure who you put out in front to represent you at all times because it can tarnish your image badly..I'm in Columbia SC not Newberry as this post is saying!!!!!! read more
