What a confusing situation. You pull up to the drive-thru and are greeted by an automated welcome, no problem. The prerecorded voice doesn't even finish and a voice asks what I want. The menu is vast and not the easiest to read, as it's too close to the car, which isn't really SK's issue. The order taker isn't listening closely and I had to order 3 times. Not a fan of feeling rushed by someone not listening. Dude finally figured out what I clearly and loudly ordered, I talk to airplanes in the sky for a living, and a clear and loud voice is a prerequisite. I pulled up and the order I was asked to pay for was completely wrong. A chocolate hulk isn't a strawberry lemonade, not even close. They didn't start making my order for a good 2 or 3 minutes after I paid, even though there weren't any cars in front of me. Poor customer service, mediocre overpriced drink, and a dismissive attitude just for kicks? Won't be back. Go to Starbucks instead. At least they have a clue and decent customer service. read more

Our smoothies were great as always and they were ready earlier than promised when I ordered on the app. However, the entire store always smells really weird/bad, like dirty mop water. Also the employees don't really acknowledge you when you walk in, when I picked up our smoothies we ordered ahead, there were no customers in the store at all and I said "thanks guys have a good one!" and one (1) out of 3 employees said "you too" and that was it. I have been visiting this location for a few months. We enjoy the smoothies, although other reviewers are correct that you get the automated voice at the screen then it might take a while before a person comes on. Sometimes it does seem they are still listening to someone inside as I have to repeat my order. So, most of the time we have a nice young man who greets us at the window. A couple weeks ago, after he took my payment, a series of three different (unsmiling) females came to the window. We finally got our order. Last week when we went, it took approximately 10-15 minutes at the window to get our smoothies. One of the unsmiling (read: unfriendly) females had handed me the cashews we also ordered, but then no one ever came back with the smoothies. I'm looking in like hello? I saw one of the unsmilers making a smoothie, so I thought maybe that's us. There's only one person waiting for a smoothie inside, and now there's three cars behind us. So the first girl then reappears and makes a gesture like she forgot we were there then turned to the counter to pick up our smoothies. One of which she promptly dropped. I don't think it spilled, because I did not see anyone jump out of the way. I don't know what she said, but the other unsmiler looked over at me and the waiting customer laughed. The girl then poured the smoothie into a fresh cup and handed it out to me. I said did you drop that? She said yes but I put it in a fresh cup; it didn't spill. I said you should make a new smoothie if you drop it. She said you don't have to take it. (Thanks for the update/non-apology/poor service). So I said no I've already waited too long. So I hope I get a response to this review. I will try to call in to speak to a manager. While this store is convenient, I don't want another floor smoothie. This happened on August 13 around 6pm. Eh. This review is based on multiple visits. The smoothies are always delicious I mean its smoothie king!! I've always loved the variety of drinks. But the service is next to horrible. I've had issues of being overcharged. Charged when I had a free drink. And just straight up sloooooow service. I once sat in the drive through for literally 15 minutes. When you walk in the staff does greet you, but it seems like there's a lack of togetherness. Like there always seems to be some sort of lack of communication or issues with orders. Literally as I'm typing this they are literally dealing with disappointed customers. The norm here. This however has never stopped me from returning because I love smoothies!! And who can say no to $5 Friday's?! A 32 ounce is usually what I would consider expensive, so Friday's are the best. read more

I love this smoothie king. I love the different options from a slim blend, to a fitness blend, to just a regular blend to enjoy. I usually get a smoothie after I work pot so I always get a fitness blend since it comes with protein in it. Even if it's a little busy in the store I usually get my smoothie in under 10 minutes. I also discovered smoothie king has an app that you can scan it and get rewards. I've gotten money off and free smoothies. If you go here often, download it! Friday's are $5 32 oz smoothies. Other than that they can be a little expensive. Normally it's $7+ depending on what you get in there. I love their smoothies! read more

I'll admit to being a bit of a fan of their tasty smoothies, though I hadn't been in a while since their locations are usually further away from me, and they usually have great service too. I opted for a protein-packed almond mocha, which was VERY tasty! I was getting ready for a workout anyway, so perfect timing with the protein. Overall good first impression. What a selection! Overwhelming combinations and flavors. I asked the cashier for her advice and went with the Immunity Booster. It was sweet and had a berry flavor that wasn't too strong so good recommendation. The caloric/nutrition info is available for the smoothies and oh my goodness it cracks me up that some people think these are some kind of healthy snack, especially with how huge the portions are here. Unless you are really burning 3-500+ calories, it would be better to eat some real fruit or vegetables and not slurp down a carbohydrate bomb. Simple sugars turn quickly to fat if not burned. Off my soapbox, sorry. The interior is clean and the workers were fast with my order and friendly with each other, great teamwork. During a recent visit to Smoothie King, I noted that the employees were not appropriately wearing their masks. All had their masks pulled below their nose, and an employee headed to the back room and reentered the main serving/kitchen space with his mask completely pulled below his chin and at ni point pulled the mask back up. Lack of professionalism aside, I felt uncomfortable in the space due their lack of willingness to adhere to basic (mandated) precautions. I ended up throwing out my order after seeing an employee with an exposed nose placing his face near my open order after he had to remake the smoothie when he spilled the first attempt at the order. They got the smoothie wrong as well, but can't complain when I didn't even drink the germ juice. At no point did the employees appear to make an effort to distance, and two employees outright entered the back employee area to greet each other when one arrived for her shift. They both visibly pulled down their masks as they exited the main kitchen space together. Approximately three months prior, I had noticed someone who looked like they may be a manager/supervisor entering the same dining area from the exterior of the store with no mask. At no point did she wear a mask during the three or so more minutes I spent in the area. I have consistently felt uncomfortable in this location and will no longer be ordering from them or from Smoothie King in general. Gross, unprofessional, and unsafe, and I don't trust a company that could let this happen when it's one of the busiest locations in the area. read more

I go to smoothie King 4-5 days a week. The one on Calhoun is full of extremely nice and helpful employees...today I went to the location on Vandercar Way and my experience was awful. I ordered ahead with the app as I always do, my order said it would be ready at 9:33, I pulled through the drive thru at 9:36, stopped at the order speaker , "will you be using our mobile app". I answered "I have already placed an order". She said "pull around". I proceeded to pull around, a car was ahead of me, I waited, pulled to the window, a girl with long dark hair opens the window and says "can I help you?" I told her I had an order already in and she says in a very rude tone and face "it helps when you tell us that before you pull around". I explained that I did just that and she argued with me that nobody heard me, shits the window door, goes to finish up another shake and the reaches over to grab mine that was already finished and waiting by the window, she does not say a word, hands it to me and shuts the window... I never write reviews, but this was so rude and so uncalled for. I will never come to this location again. read more

I work out the gym next door and no exaggeration grab a smoothie from there at least once a day for the last six months. I understand quality can vary depending on the employee inside so that's always been acceptable but tonight I show up 10 minutes before they close because they turn off online ordering an hour or more early before they close and a little girl proceeds to walk out because the doors locked and after explaining to her I was about to work a 13 hour shift I'm sorry I was late would it be OK if they make one smoothie for me before close. The little girl was very nice and told me to go to the drive-through. When I get to the drive-through she waits until 9 o'clock to respond which was like two or three minutes only to tell me that they're closed and argue with me about how she did not tell me to go to the drive-through. But she did because she told me the inside closed at eight and the drive-through is open till nine "I still had time". I honestly feel that she treated me like I was stupid. I've been in Ohio for a year now and I'm not sure I've meet a more trashy, disrespectful staff than tonight. Keep up the fantastic work though. Maybe when the little girl grows up she can aspire to be "head smoothie maker" when she grows up. Losing one smoothie a day will not affect this store, but I promise this location will never get another dollar of mine and I will consistently advocate to go elsewhere. Worst Smoothie King ever. There were 5 girls working there and it took 20 minutes to make my regular-sized smoothie. There was no drive-thru line nor were they doing any work besides standing around talking, laughing, and playing on their phones while I waited. I've never seen a work ethic and treatment of customers this horrible; Management here definitely has a lot to work on. Once I finally received my smoothie, it tasted like dirt.
