Let's be clear, there is NOTHING enjoyable ever about getting a Brazilian wax... after speaking to my friend I reluctantly made an appointment with Crystal for my sugaring Brazilian. Her studio is meticulously clean and organized, she greeted me with a friendly smile and after giving me the 101 on sugaring and asking a few questions on my history we got to it. First she prepared the area that would be waxed, then she started applying the "sugaring" I was pleasantly surprised at how much less painful it was (it still hurts) but compared to getting it done with wax it's about 50% less painful. When she applies the "sugar" you can feel the hairs going the opposite direction and I would say that's the most uncomfortable portion, she removes the hair and immediately after applies pressure, there is no stinging or swelling like I experienced with wax. She is a speed waxer and worked with smaller patches at a time while allowing time for me to breath in and out to help with my nerves. She kept me engaged with great conversation and at times I didn't even knew she had done the waxing until after as she would say, "you are doing great" "great job" Crystal is a true profesional and I look forward to my next wax with her. Be on the lookout for people that say they do sugaring, there are only 3 ppl in orlando that are actually certified and from what I have encountered experience makes a world of difference.
