I love that sugaring doesn't pull a layer of skin off the way wax does. She works quickly and efficiently and takes the time to answer every single question, offer advice, and makes sure you're satisfied with the results before leaving her chair. She is detail oriented in her work and the best part is that she's an absolute delight of a human. We had a great conversation that began the second I walked in the door and all the way until she walked me out of the building! I will be an instant regular from now on and will recommend Brown Sugar Wax Studio to everyone I can. Go meet Shaynell for yourself and leave feeling refreshed with the smoothest skin ever!

Don't be fooled by the exterior building: Brown Sugar Wax is found inside a building, so you may not see the name of the store while driving past it. I was greeted immediately by the esthetician Sheynell and we hit it off pretty well. We made great conversation as she comforted me during my long-awaited wax. The session was longer than expected, but she was so detailed in the wax as well as knowledgeable of sugaring but also the business of Brown Sugar Wax Studio. She even gave me some references in where to buy certain products such as cream to make any bumps to disappear as well as some free samples that I may enjoy. Overall, I had such a wonderful experience at Brown Sugar Wax Studio, thanks to Sheynell! Customers here can really tell she puts in the effort to care for her customers to get the experience they deserve.

Mind you it always hurts in certain areas but Janet did such a good job of talking me through those tough moments. She asked me if I had a preference for how to handle each section, did I want a count down, a heads up, or no heads up, or if I wanted to breathe through it before pulling. That was so nice, I've never had anyone ask me that before. I went with breathing ahead of each pull, that certainly helped. She took her time with me and made sure to clean up all the annoying little lingering hairs that the sugar didn't quite get. She was ON it to make sure all my hair was removed and I walked out of there feeling brand new and ready for my tinyyyy bikinis! The studio space was also very clean and smelled really good. She was playing some throwback jams which was really cool and had me feeling like I went back in time to the good ol' days. I would certainly recommend it, 10/10!

The staff was very patient and kind when explaining the procedures. The prices were very fair given the level of service. They were able to accommodate me as a walk in today but upon visiting the website it seems quick and easy to book online. Today was my first time visiting but will not be my last. The "sugar" substance was gentle and forgiving on my skin. It left zero irritation or redness. My skin is usually ON FIRE after waxing but this was a dream. Left with smooth skin and zero stinging or pain. Major thanks to Victoria for a job well done!

*This location DOES NOT offer the "first time free" promotion* as per my appointment today…read more I'm really torn. Because I had an unpleasant beginning to my overall appointment experience but a really great sugaring service. Starting from the beginning; I usually go to a waxing service but wanted to try something different and this place is super close. Looking at their website I saw the "firstservicefree" promotion and thought why not! I scheduled my appointment for the Winter Springs location and used the promo code they provided on the website and it brought my total down to $0 (I still tipped cash). SWEET! This was a week ago. This morning I received a call (a little over an hour before my appointment) that they would not honor the promotion because their store no longer participates. That's kind of frustrating. So I spoke to the manager and explained that there was no notation that the promotion was only at participating locations and that the promo code worked when booking the appointment. However, they resolved the issue and I proceeded with my appointment. Note: during this week period I did try contacting the store on Sunday to modify the appointment and move it up one day. No one answered the phone (I called twice). The sugaring experience with Meredith was great. She was very sweet and explained everything in detail. She was very meticulous and clean and I noticed that new gloves were being used often. Not sure if the process is less painful than waxing (I think in certain spots it may have been more uncomfortable) but I left feeling like a smooth mermaid. Everything was clean and the vibe is welcoming. Would I recommend? Not sure and I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I would maybe give this place a second try based on Meredith and the fantastic job she did but the customer service may make me feel otherwise.

Elizabeth is wonderful! I'll break down the reasons why:…read more My haircut: she listened to what I wanted, and she took her time. I left with amazing feeling and looking hair! Her services are also priced SUPER reasonably. Her: she is sweet and professional She asked me what I liked and disliked about previous studio experiences and she really made sure I was comfortable and happy the entire time. She also didn't try to sell me anything, which is huge for me. She educated me about types of products that would be good for my specific hair and how I could incorporate them into my routine, but she didn't try to make me buy anything. Her studio: I had to call to figure out exactly where it was (it is inside a larger salon building), but once inside it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I also love that you can book entirely online, which is surprisingly rare for hair studios. On a side note: I'd urge Yelp to only allow verified customers to review businesses. I read a one star review prior to booking my appointment, but it was a person who never visited Elizabeth's studio, just someone who disagreed with her marketing practices. This isn't why people come to Yelp and these types of reviews can distort the valuable data Yelp provides. Finally: save yourself from bad hair places and just go see Elizabeth, she's wonderful and you'll be happy that you did.
