    If I could give this company zero stars I would! I contacted the owner Darrell about two weeks ago…read moreand informed him I would be coming in town to help my mom move. My mother is downsizing after 25 years. I called and he was working so he called back. My mom is moving from a 3 level home into a 2 bedroom apartment. I told him everything and asked the rate and how to confirm the date; He informed me that he would be there with a few guys and the rate is $175/hour and we agreed and said he didn't need to come out and see anything. I asked if he could break down her bed and he "said I normally don't but I can do that". He didn't bring any tools to breakdown the bed and I had to borrow tools from a neighbors; he the states he would not be putting it back together. I got on task rabbit and hired someone to put it back together; no problem. I ensured he had my mother's number since I would be flying in that day and he had the starting location. 8/2 the day of the move he texted us he would be a few minutes late since he had to pick up his uhual truck so he showed up around 1023am and finished at 3:15 which would be 5 hours. He tried to charge us for 7 hours and my mom said you haven't been with us 7 hours; I stepped in since I was paying him then he said it would be 6 hours as my mother had some items that wouldn't fit into her new place and we asked if he would bring them back to her home which he agreed. But as soon as I sent the payment $1050 he flipped ; The sofa he agreed to bring back he refused to touch; he had 2 items still on the truck and he agreed to bring those items back but refused to bring the sofa as he had first agreed. We get to the original location and I called to let him know we were here. He arrives and he's aggressive, yelling and rude; he opens the truck door and starts dumping the items in the street; I asked if he could put it on the porch as he agreed and he refused stating " are yall going to pay me to put it on the porch" ! I started recording him putting the items in the street and only then did he startedplacing items on the porch. He started yelling " I already spoke to my lawyer so it's nothing" His brother was agreeable to placing the items on the porch but Darrell refused at first. He told us we were putting his business in jeopardy and " I have to feed my kids with this business" , " yall unprofessional and unorganized"; we aren't professional movers and my mother hasn't moved in 25 years so him expecting her to get everything perfect is crazy. She didnt know the sofa wouldn't fit in her hallways and he had no problem removing them until the money was sent. I told him I had been nothing but nice to him and paid him so I didn't understand why so rude now when he agreed to bring back the items. He yelled at me " you a black woman and yall lie, that's all yall do, yall can't be trusted". I have the entire interaction recorded and he is the only aggressive, rude and yelling person! 3:02 pm I paid him and in that moment and he totally flipped the script almost immediately. Before he finished I asked for his lawyers contact information and the contract he brought up which he refused to give me either but brought them up. He showed up at 10:23am and was unloading the items on the street at 3:47pm. He told us how we wasted his time although he had been paid in full at 3:02pm and agreed to bring the items back and said " yall think this is slavery"; he agreed to bring the items back under no distress so I was confused why he was behaving so rude and aggressive. A google search of the owner will tell you everything you need to know; sorry I didn't do it before hand. Darrell Lardge Update(5:50pm 8/3/24) : he is now calling me and my mom multiple times after we left the review threatening us with legal action. We haven't told one lie so we will not remove the review but now worried about safety with his behavior. He's calling and text us both.

Though they had their work cut out for them, they finessed everything into place. Our furniture is in pristine condition. They offer competitive pricing and clear communication. I highly recommend them.

Every. Single. Thing. was well protected and secure. He treated my belongings with the utmost care, as if they were his own.     A Grateful Review for Arch Moving -- Raekwon, Darryl, and Israel -- True Professionals with Heart…read more Moving my elderly mom from her spacious 3-bedroom condo into a cozy 1-bedroom independent living apartment was supposed to be a fairly simple transition--we were only bringing a portion of her belongings. But as moves often go, it turned out to be much more complex than expected. In the midst of sorting and packing, some of the remaining furniture created an unintentional trip hazard. I heard a stumble and rushed into the room just in time to witness something I'll never forget--Israel, one of the young movers, caught my mom midair as she was falling. No exaggeration: that young man saved my mom. A fall like that could have changed everything for her, and I will never forget his quick thinking, strength, and care. The move itself ended up taking 8 hours--double what we anticipated--but the team never once complained. Raekwon, Darryl, and Israel worked with professionalism, grace, and heart from start to finish. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and handled with respect. They worked quickly without rushing, took care with every item, and brought kindness and good humor to what could have been a stressful day. By the end, we weren't just grateful--we were genuinely fond of them. We even snapped a photo together to remember the moment.     The worst moving company. The driver tried to get us to give him cash for the move instead paying…read morethrough credit card (super suspicious) and the assistant they hired (recent high school graduate) was extremely rough with our stuff (throwing boxes down and slamming down furniture) and had a really weird bad attitude the whole time. They also damaged an expensive leather chair (tried to force it through a doorway that was too small damaging the chair, floor, and door frame even though the driver said he "measured it" and it would "definitely fit, no problem") and then tried to blame us, and then tried to get us to sign something that released them from blame. When we called management, they also tried to avoid responsibility and then tried to lowball us on replacing the chair. Ultimately, after multiple calls, they sent someone to repair the flooring and patch up chair. A huge hassle to get something repaired that should have never been damaged in the first place. Would avoid hiring this company!

    Had a VERY negative experience with all star moving…read more It started with pushy texts about booking. Walked through showing all the art on the walls to pack and confirmed the services. When the movers arrived, the youngest one didn't know how to pack art. (The primary bulk of our move) and a supervisor had to "teach" him. He then proceeded to pack my art in ways that likely damaged it. (See attached photos) I called the owner to let him know what was going on and before I could explain fully, he interrupted and said "I'm sending the guys back". I would've let him know they were still here and explained further what was happening. (Which was that I asked them to just start moving and would unpack the poorly packed boxes myself, after sending him photos) When Matt arrived he asked to see the boxes. I told him I already started unpacking them. He said "well how am I supposed to know how bad it is?" I said "the photos I sent". I guess this is the point he thought I was trying not to pay for anything and attempted to cancel the job right there, claiming they were not a good fit, but not to worry, I wouldn't be charged. I said "I want to pay your team". He said "could've fooled me". He then proceeds to tell me he didn't remember about the art that was packing. (Why did we do a walk through then?) and that I don't know how to move. (No kidding, that's why I hired you), that HE supervises his staff, not me. (The only thing I asked his head guy to do was confirm if a box should look like that and he said no. That's when I called the owner.) This company is incredibly overpriced, lacks transparency, sends high school kids to pack boxes, and then blames the customer upon complaint. I insisted on paying, but they took an hour off my bill. (I believe this is fair financially as they were only here for 3) However, beware of this company and the tactics they use to pressure you to book, and the kids they send to do the work.
