I wish I didn't have to write this review, but I don't want others to have a disappointing and frustrating experience with this company. I have worked with Arch Moving 2 times in the past, and so when I hired them again I had expected similar service. Unfortunately, under new management I did not experience a level of customer service I would expect. They increased their fees (first for the truck there is now a $75 fee), and the moving rates for a two man team were 160/hour. I could have swallowed that if they had sent an experienced two man crew, but one of the movers was a young person who clearly had little to no experience and could barely manage the heavier items. At these rates that was hard to understand. They then broke a small glass window, and I was told by the mover it would be covered. When I spoke with the claims department they told me it is not covered per the Missouri Dept of Transport, meaning they don't legally have to cover the damage so they won't. This is not the customer service I would expect at these prices. I would not recommend, and I will never use them again.

    Scratch in hardwood

My experience with Arch Moving was deeply frustrating and disappointing. The movers they sent were clearly young, inexperienced, and unqualified for the job. Two of them couldn't have been older than 18, and one was still in training. Their lack of skill and care resulted in significant damage: my hardwood floors were gouged, my ceiling was punctured, and my mattress was dragged on the ground without covering, leaving it filthy and unusable. They also forgot a heavy file cabinet at my old home, forcing me to go back and retrieve it myself, and left several pieces of furniture--like a chest freezer, a glass table top, and a nightstand with a granite top--wrapped and unassembled at my new house. I had to finish the job they didn't bother to complete. They had offered 2 days later to send a crew out to unwrap and assemble everything that was missed, but at that point my wife and I had already did it ourselves. While Arch Moving offered $350 to address the floor and ceiling damage, most of that went to the repair company they work with, leaving me with just $100 after repairs. To be clear, the Surface Experts team was kind, professional, and did their best to improve the appearance of the damaged floors and ceiling. However, they are not a flooring company, and the repairs couldn't fully restore the floors to their original condition. A professional flooring company quoted me over $3,400 to properly refinish the floors, which Arch Moving refused to cover due to their limited liability policies. They also gave me $100 for the ruined mattress and inconvenience, but that barely begins to compensate for the damage caused by their inexperienced crew. Arch Moving's attempts at reconciliation were appreciated but ultimately insufficient. Their hiring practices and lack of oversight led to completely avoidable damage to my home. If you care about your belongings and want a smooth moving experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Photos of the damage are attached for reference.

This is the company's JOKE of a response to my initial GOOGLE REVIEW. NO ACCOUNTABILITY, plus I have already talked to them via phone/email - The image displays a screenshot of a message from a business owner, addressing a customer named Destiny. The message explains the company's position regarding a billing dispute, labor charges, and the circumstances of a recent move. It mentions the company's policies, the nature of the labor performed, and requests the customer to contact their office to resolve the issue.

INITIAL REVIEW: Absolute Nightmare--Avoid at All Costs, Especially If You're a Woman Moving Alone! I had the worst moving experience of my life with Arch Moving Company. As a single mom moving with my disabled mother and young daughter, I never expected to be taken advantage of and treated so poorly. The entire experience was a disaster from start to finish. The movers were unprofessional, lazy, and rude. My 11-year-old daughter cried twice during the move because of their inappropriate language and behavior. Instead of feeling safe during this stressful time, I was threatened with a felony charge while trying to pay the bill in front of my daughter--even though I had my bank card in hand. Joshua, one of the managers, later apologized for mentioning a felony charge in front of my daughter, blaming it on a stressful move the night before where another customer supposedly refused to pay. What kind of excuse is that? It's clear I was being stereotyped. T The movers caused significant damage to my property, including completely destroying a custom granite coffee table that had been safely moved twice before by professional movers. This was no ordinary piece; it was a several hundred-pound granite slab that was part of an antique table. Instead of handling it with care, the movers recklessly stood it up behind a flimsy bookshelf--something that should never have been done. Joshua himself admitted the granite should never have been stood up, acknowledging their mistake. Yet, despite knowing this, the company has refused to take responsibility. In addition to the destroyed granite, my dining room table was also broken during the move. While the movers quickly reported the damage to my dining room table, they purposely did not inform me about the broken granite, showing their dishonesty and lack of professionalism. Despite these significant damages, Arch Moving refused to discuss any compensation unless I paid them an additional $1,700--money they claimed I owed after they denied my repeated requests for extra movers. I was quoted $1,300 for a 6-hour job but ended up with a $3,700 bill--nearly triple the estimate. How did this happen? The movers lied, claiming I refused to pay for additional help, which I never did. I specifically requested more movers multiple times throughout the day. Initially, the company said they would send additional movers, but then they blamed the lack of clarity on the movers themselves, saying they didn't make it clear extra help was needed. I heard the movers begging for more assistance over the phone, yet when I asked to speak with their supervisor, Joshua, he was conveniently unavailable. When Joshua finally arrived late that night, he told me the end of the move was "on him". Yet, I was still charged for those additional hours. The company then claimed I had "misinterpreted" Joshua's words, blaming me for their miscommunication. To make matters worse, two of the movers left before the job was done. They complained about not wanting to take my son's clothes upstairs, and then they threw my clothes all over the basement. My home was left in complete chaos, with broken furniture, scattered belongings, and a feeling of utter violation. Arch Moving Company is not just unprofessional; they are deceitful and take advantage of women, especially those moving alone. They overcharge, provide terrible service, and then bully you into paying outrageous fees by threatening legal action. Now they're threatening to report the $1,700 overcharge to the credit bureau, despite refusing to provide the additional movers I requested. They won't even discuss the damage they caused to my property. Instead of addressing the damages they caused and the distress they put my family through, they focused on extracting more money. They refused to discuss or acknowledge the damage to my property unless I paid their inflated bill in full. They are pinning their miscommunication and poor management on me while ignoring their responsibility to deliver professional, respectful service. They even left their moving pads on items! UNPROFESSIONAL

Arch Moving - Four people are standing closely together outdoors, smiling at the camera. Behind them is a large banner with a logo of a muscular figure holding a barbell, indicating a moving company. The group includes a woman with long blonde hair and a neon green beanie, a woman with curly dark hair and sunglasses, a man with dreadlocks and a hoodie, and another man with a beard wearing a blue jacket. The setting appears to be an event or gathering related to the moving business.

Most importantly, the work saved on my back was worth every penny. I found their replies to be prompt once I reached the correct contact number. The true heroes of this move were the remaining crew members: Myron and Lynette. No one can control what workers do, and it was clear the worker walk-off was not the owners' or managers' fault. Myron and Lynette are the definition of true customer service. They were committed to finish the job,, saying, "No matter what, if it's just us two, we are going to finish the job." That level of commitment is amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure the job was completed with excellent quality. They stayed and worked tirelessly until the manager arrived with two replacement workers (who were fantastic and much better than the two who left--I regret not getting their names!). In the end, all things wrapped up extremely well. I was completely satisfied and happy with the move. I would absolutely use this company again, and no other. They earned this 5-star rating entirely because of the dedication, commitment, and quality service provided by Myron and Lynette. I hope the company recognizes how invaluable they are.

The movers arrived and asked me if I needed more time to pack. I had only hired them for heavy pieces of furniture which do not need to be packed. Which I stated to them. One of the movers, a woman named Lynnette, took photos and videos of my belongings WITHOUT MY CONSENT and called her boss to explain how I was not move ready when I just needed them to move furniture. Very unprofessional and honestly just plain rude. Another man who arrived asked to purchase my lawn mower that was not at all for sale. They absolutely refused to move me. Their moving consultant, Kobe, called me to let me know that I was not move ready and that they had availability to move me Monday or Tuesday. I needed to move SUNDAY, had planned everything around the SUNDAY move. I work for a living and was unable to take time off. When he tried to force me to reschedule I asked him to call me back at another time due to how upset I was with the whole interaction. Tuesday morning, I get a call from a mover telling me they are 10 minutes away. Huh? I never scheduled anything for Tuesday and was under the impression I would receive a follow up call to reschedule the move. Contacted them and they told me I said that Tuesday was fine and if it wasn't a good day that I had planned to call back. Complete and utter lies. As of now, I have not gotten my refundable deposit of $100 back from them. Now I have to find different movers. I am living between two different houses (luckily due to friends and family I was able to move the absolute bare minimum on Sunday, but not everyone has that). It is had been a NIGHTMARE. Please please please if you value your time and you need movers go somewhere else.

They took apart furniture and reassembled those pieces without issue, were professional and courteous, and wasted no time. I had pneumonia for that move, and these men wouldn't even let me carry a bag to the truck. Fast forward to March 6, 2026. I re-hired You Move Me because of the excellent experience with my first move. The company quoted me three men for 5 hours, which I thought odd and said so before I hired them. This was a smaller move, with less distance. I was assured that with three men on the job, it would take less time and since I was hiring on short notice- they needed to get the job done quickly. I understood and agreed. Three men arrived on Friday 2 1/2 hours late. By that point, I had moved all of my boxes and bags and light things like lamps and nightstands into the apartment breezeway... to make things easier for the movers. All that was left in the apartment for them to remove was furniture, and to get the boxes that I had moved into the truck. It took these men 6 3/4 hours to complete my move. They arrived high on weed - I have no problem with weed, provided you aren't around my kids (they were) and I'm not paying you by the hour to complete I job (I obviously was). They continually took smoke breaks to maintain their high. One spent 30 minutes on the phone with his PO. These men stood around, one sat for a while, playing on his phone, and all day long they complained about their job, their boss, and the stairs at the first apartment, which I had informed them of before booking the service. They then lost all of the hardware to reassemble our beds in our new home. Our mattresses are currently on the floors. The owner of the company called me yesterday to inquire about the quality of the service. I told him in no uncertain terms that I am not at all pleased, that I had expected an experience much like the first one, and that I would like him to rectify the situation. His company wasted a lot of my time and money and then left me in a bind with disassembled beds that are now useless. This man, Chris Heustis, offered to "go out of his way to help me" by purchasing screws for my beds; and refund 1.5 hours of time. He refuses to address the fact that he sent three men under the influence to my home, that two men did the job in two hours less time with a 30 minute longer drive time, or that his company did not honor their end of our contract. Just the documented facts that two men moved me in two less hours than the three he sent makes it pretty clear that the three man crew wasted A TON of time. But what do I know? I'm just a Karen complaining about bad service.

The problems began with the estimate. Joe, the individual who completed it, clearly lacks the…read morecompetence required to accurately assess a move. He failed to include major components of my home--specifically the garage, outdoor furniture, and washer/dryer. I immediately pointed out these omissions, and he assured me the estimate was still accurate. The total estimate provided was $2,050, and based on that representation, so I paid my deposit. After that, communication completely stopped. Weeks passed with no confirmation until I reached out twice. When I finally received a response, I was told I was scheduled for "a 2-man pack for 3 hours and a 3-man load/unload for 4 hours." I expressed concern but was told this was sufficient per the the square footage of my home. It was not. Four movers showed up to pack--without my approval--and stayed for five hours. Even then, the house was not fully packed. I was then charged $70 per 15 minutes for time exceeding the original 3 hr estimate--an outrageous and predatory rate that was never clearly disclosed upfront. On moving day, the crew arrived one hour late, and the truck reeked of marijuana to the point that it was impossible to ignore. The truck itself was broken. The ramp could not be deployed, forcing the crew to load for nearly three hours without it, turning what should have been a two-hour job for loading into four. This delay was entirely due to equipment failure, not the scope of my move. Even more concerning, the crew had forgotten the garage entirely--despite this being flagged during the estimate and on their arrival. They then spent 20 - 30 minutes unloading and reloading the truck to make room. Ultimately, not all garage items fit, and I now have to transport those items myself in personal vehicles. The unload took nearly double the expected time, likely due to poor planning, an extended smoke break midway through, and the crew choosing not to disassemble large furniture--attempting instead to force pieces through tight spaces. This resulted in a scratched desk, broken glassware, and a damaged yarn cabinet. To top it off, one mover vomited in my yard. I was told he was "sick," though the circumstances strongly suggest otherwise. To be clear: the moving crew themselves were polite, hardworking, and genuinely tried their best. They were set up to fail from the beginning by an inaccurate estimate, faulty equipment, and grossly inadequate management. When I attempted to address these issues with Chris on Day One, his response was condescending, dismissive, and disrespectful. He repeatedly fell back on "it's just an estimate" and claimed costs could vary by 20%, while speaking to me in a demeaning manner. When I pushed back on his attitude, it worsened. On Day Two, after the final unload, I was informed that what was supposed to cost $1,553 (before a $232 discount) had ballooned to $2,800. Combined with $1,100 from Day One, my total cost became $3,900--$1,900 more than the original estimate. That is nearly a 50% increase, not "plus or minus 20%." I was then told I should be grateful because they "gave me an extra guy and didn't charge me," as though this somehow justified the massive overbilling. This raises a serious question: what is the point of an estimate if customers are expected to have nearly double the quoted amount available? Most people move on a budget, and this practice is financially reckless and unethical. I would never recommend this company. Chris's behavior was deeply unprofessional and disrespectful, and Joe clearly needs retraining--or removal--from estimating altogether. For fairness, the crew members--Ke'Andre (spelling uncertain), Brandon, De'Monte, Quincy, and Baracka--were hardworking and respectful throughout an impossible situation. Unfortunately, strong labor does not compensate for systemic failures in leadership, planning, communication, and billing. It is also important to note that this was not my first move. I have moved 22 times in my life. This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had, particularly in terms of transparency, fair business practices, and basic respect from company leadership. Moving crew was great. Company practices and leadership professionalism - in the toilet.

When the movers arrived, the youngest one didn't know how to pack art. (The primary bulk of our move) and a supervisor had to "teach" him. He then proceeded to pack my art in ways that likely damaged it. (See attached photos) I called the owner to let him know what was going on and before I could explain fully, he interrupted and said "I'm sending the guys back". I would've let him know they were still here and explained further what was happening. (Which was that I asked them to just start moving and would unpack the poorly packed boxes myself, after sending him photos) When Matt arrived he asked to see the boxes. I told him I already started unpacking them. He said "well how am I supposed to know how bad it is?" I said "the photos I sent". I guess this is the point he thought I was trying not to pay for anything and attempted to cancel the job right there, claiming they were not a good fit, but not to worry, I wouldn't be charged. I said "I want to pay your team". He said "could've fooled me". He then proceeds to tell me he didn't remember about the art that was packing. (Why did we do a walk through then?) and that I don't know how to move. (No kidding, that's why I hired you), that HE supervises his staff, not me. (The only thing I asked his head guy to do was confirm if a box should look like that and he said no. That's when I called the owner.) This company is incredibly overpriced, lacks transparency, sends high school kids to pack boxes, and then blames the customer upon complaint. I insisted on paying, but they took an hour off my bill. (I believe this is fair financially as they were only here for 3) However, beware of this company and the tactics they use to pressure you to book, and the kids they send to do the work.
