A Truly Memorable Alpaca Experience We visited Smooth Alpaca Experience as a group of six, ranging in age from 12 to mid-60s, and every one of us absolutely loved it. Joe was wonderful -- fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!

What a wonderful experience! Joe has a great ranch & the animals are so friendly and sweet!!! Day made!!! It's an intimate experience that I wish could last all day!! We learned a lot about alpacas!! I highly recommend this for animal lovers!!

One of my favorite places to visit! We had such an amazing experience 2 years ago we HAD to come back! The alpacas and goats are very friendly and fun! Plenty of time for feeding, petting, washing, etc. The Alpacas know some fun tricks and the goats love to play! There was a nice shaded area on the side but sunscreen is a must as it can get very hot and most the farm is in direct sun. Clear instructions were provided ahead of time. Punctuality is important! Beautiful location and the owner is very nice!

I went with a couple of friends and it was so fun! We met outside Red Rocks and followed him to the farm. He was driving a little fast, so we were worried we didn't turn in the right spot when we couldn't see him, but we made it! It was such a unique experience to interact with the alpacas and the goats, and we got some great photo opportunities!

This was a great expexperience for our family of 5! Ages ranging from 7, 14, to 47. Everything was amazing from feeding the alpaca and goats, to bathing them and the photo ops. Joe was excellent, sharing his story and journey and incredible details about the alpaca and the goats. The three goat brothers put on a show. The unique and hilarious personalities of the alpaca provide memories that will last forever. Michelangelo (MJ), Reggie Jackson, Bennie, Walter White and Vincent Van Goat were some of our favorites. They all were amazingly fun animals.

I enjoyed the experience. We met up with our group at the red rock park which is only a few minutes away. We spent time with the alpaca and the goats. Fed them. Combed them and learned so much about them. Then we went into the shop to buy a few alpaca things.

Kids had a great time. Very gentle animals. We will be back to visit. Host was charismatic and funny which made for added fun.

Such a fun time and Joe was great!highly recommend whether you're a child or an adult! Red rocks is right there so you can visit that before/after.

We had the BEST time! The owner was so welcoming and met us at the red rock amphitheater parking lot. We drove to the venue and had so much fun petting, feeding and interacting with the animals. Great activity to do for family or with friends! Thank you for having us!

Had the best experience at Joe's ranch. His alpacas and goats were so sweet and Joe was very knowledgeable. My friends and I came to Colorado for the weekend and this definitely made our trip!! Highly recommend!

Expensive hay and grain feeding experience in a small corral. Thought there would be a lot more to the experience. Left early.

Best pumpkin patch in Colorado! We had the best time and will be back! I recommend buying tickets…read morein advance online because you get in faster! What is great is you can use the tickets for any day the whole season so you don't have to pick a day to go and worry about needing to change the day! Super convenient and the price is good! We paid for the basic entry ticket and nothing extra and it was worth it! So much is included you don't need to worry about not being able to do anything! We were there for 4hrs and didn't even do all the things we could have. We ate lunch there, the food was expensive but that's common nowadays. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! So don't worry about not liking the food, it's well prepared and tons of options. We also got a coffee and it tasted good too! They really have it all! My favorite part was the mutin-busting, they made it so fun! The corn maze was a close second, it's not too hard and fun! This place is super kid friendly and the price is worth all the fun you get to enjoy! Also they out wood chips on the ground everywhere so you don't need to worry about mud! We will be back!

It's a great, hands-on fall experience. That being said, be prepared for the cost. The pumpkins themselves are getting a bit pricey, and the general admission fee is $30 per person, which can definitely add up quickly. Despite the price tag, the venue itself is exceptionally well-maintained. A huge plus is that they have genuinely good, clean restrooms, which is always a relief at outdoor farm events. If you go in the evening, their haunted zone is fantastic and adds a whole new layer of spooky fun to the night. Ultimately, there is a ton to do here, making it a great destination if you're looking for a full day or night of autumn festivities.

Used to love going here but unfortunately will NEVER step foot here again. Morgan inside the gift…read moreshop felt the need to follow my son and his gf (mind you both 13 years old brown children) and immediately profiling them of being thieves simply because they were trying to make sure one another wouldn't see what they were purchasing for each other (not hiding items or anything trying to just avoid each other and deciding on final items to purchase). She felt the need to watch them like a hawk and then proceeded to YELL at them to put back the items or get in line to purchase them (not realizing my son's gf's mother was supervising behind them) and when she was confronted by her mother and advised that they were only children and there was no need to yell at them Morgan's tone changes QUICKLY and yet she still felt the need to say they were acting and looking "suspicious." Mind you - there were plenty of other groups of unsupervised teenagers (groups of American boys around 15-17) walking around unsupervised but yet our two brown children were the only ones targeted. She proceed to go hide in the back after being confronted and when we asked to speak to a manager we spoke to Dez who immediately resorted to defensiveness and basically say she agrees with Morgan - at that point she simply could've acknowledged the error and apologized for Morgan's behavior but instead she stood by Morgan and basically repeated the same things. We then asked for her manager - Brian came and unfortunately same thing - his immediate response was defensiveness instead of simply being apologetic he said our children were being suspicious... MIND YOU HE ALSO IN THE SAME SENTENCE SAID HE WAS NOT THERE TO WITNESS WHAT HAPPENED. There is a way to handle these types of situations and scenarios and it's sad and disheartening the way they chose to handle this one. Do better. Unfortunately this farm appears to love to make money off of our ethnic cultures (having creole food and Mexican food/snacks available for purchase) but their employees don't seem to treat all ethnicities fairly!! Take your business and spend your money elsewhere because Anderson Farms is definitely not the place to do it.

For my husband's birthday last weekend, I booked us each a 55 minute api-therapy appointment. We were in our individual huts and the experience was amazing!! Being beekeepers ourselves, we have a great love for bees and completely understand their importance and benefits that they bring to the world. The huts are very cozy and you're provided clean towels if you choose to rest your head on a pillow. While this seems the best way to lay in the hut, you really cannot hear the bees. They provide a face cradle so you can lay on your stomach and that worked so much better. I put my nose between the cedar planks so that I could inhale so much more of the hive air and I cannot tell you how much I absolutely love the smell of wood combined with the scent of honey and honeycomb! Don't worry, the bees cannot get to you as there is a wire mesh to keep them separate from you. Since there is a sliver of light coming through the hive side, you can watch the bees working. The huts themselves are bright and full of light. I fell asleep probably within 5 minutes after I adjusted myself and slept for about 40 minutes. To me, the collective of bees sounded like rushing water once you listen past the single, higher pitched buzzes. We both felt completely relaxed and refreshed afterward. I suggest everyone to give api-therapy a try!!
