I really had a great time. I did not grow up in corn maze culture and this was the first time I fully committed to going all the way in to one (instead of just photo opping near the entrance)! I gave myself lots of time. It was super hot in the sun - bring a hat with a big visor!! At this time of year this year the corn was all pretty dried out - very fall feeling. I went on a weekend day - a Saturday - so yah there were plenty of families and such. I just randomly wandered the corn maze running into the occasional child or parent but or teen group, but I found it very nice to just wander until I got out! It took about an hour. No stress and it actually felt positive that there were lots of other people in the maze at the same time. Less scary. They had a mini corn maze and a "crazy" corn maze so I chose the crazy one since I was trying to be brave. If you feel less brave, try the mini one! Next year I might try their night time corn maze! I love how they curated the pumpkin area! Pumpkins galore everywhere and organized by their gorgeous colors. So pretty and seriously so many like WOW! It was visually really nice. Lots of great creative photo op areas were nicely set up. Lots of kid activities of course. If you're a lone adult like me you're probably gonna do - corn maze, food truck, shopping. I like that they partnered with Palomar Farms to have some farmers market goodies. I did seem some unique jarred delights. I walked away with FROG jam and rhubarb jam! Next year I will try to go earlier in the season when the corn maze is maybe still a little bit green to see what that's like. I liked their modern branding and curated vibe. The corn maze staff was also super friendly and understood my anxiety. I also loved that the activities were a la carte. Our favorite pumpkin patch in the greater Denver area to date. There is ample parking, an organized "entry" and "exit" design for cars, wide open spaces, great pumpkin selections, and activities for kids of all ages. This year, they have foregone the ticket booth and you pay by card at each activity station. I'm not sure I like the new system, but it does cut down on long lines to get tickets; however, it means you're putting a lot of little charges on your card throughout the day, and they are kind of pricey ($14-18 for faceprinting, $4 for a barrel train ride, $7 for bounce houses). Activities: pony rides, petting zoo, playground (with slides), barrel train, two corn mazes (some nighttime options, too), hay maze, bounce houses, corn launcher, corn pools, escape room, face painting, and various photo opportunities. The grab your own pumpkins are in the middle of the field. They have jumbo all the way down to handheld as well as incredibly large gourds. They have wheelbarrows to get pumpkins to your car, but because of so much theft last year, you will have to relinquish your driver's license to borrow one. My biggest disappointment (and it seems to appear across the board at all patches) is the lack of real food. Sure, they have frozen chocolate dipped cheesecakes, chocolate dipped fruit on a stick, popcorn, and endless amounts of candy, but I would love the opportunity for a hotdog or something a little more substantial. They do have a great beer selection though, and a cute little market where you can buy decorations, jams, popcorn, etc. Overall, I recommend checking out this pumpkin patch for your dose of fall. read more

This was okay for me. I think it'd be fun for a kid or family for sure. Huge parking lot. Then you walk into the big area where they have pumpkins for purchase laying around, places to take pictures, petting zoo with llamas goats and ponies (extra $$ to pet), chicken coop, cornhole, food trucks, benches, a kid corn maize and an adult corn maze ($17/person). The adult corn maze took us about 30-40 min. The trivia questions at the checkpoint did not seem accurate and we heard other ppl complain about it too. This is a really great event - First of all, you can come check it out for free. By free, I mean that you can get in to check everything out at no cost. Much like a rural fair, you can buy tickets that can be applied toward any of the attractions at the event. We elected to check out the bigger of the two corn mazes, and felt that it was well worth the money. There are also plenty of things to do for the little kiddos - a petting zoo full of cute critters, a tractor ride through the corn, a giant sandbox to play in filled with corn kernels instead of sand, and of course, pumpkins. Wildly disappointing! We took our 3 year old and 1 month old to Maize in the city on a week night to avoid the bigger weekend crowds since we had a newborn at the time. The only things open and available were 1 of 3 bounce houses, the pumpkin patch and the corn kernel pit of death but our 3 yo wasn't a fan. The petting zoo, pony rides and corn maizes were closed. Why? No one knows. I guess we got a couple of overpriced pumpkins to take home so there's that. Next year we'll go anywhere else! read more

Took a couple of my out of town friends here for a little romp in the corn maze. Price is $12/pp for the Crazed Corn Maze. There are 10 stations to find as you make you way through the maze, answering trivia questions by scanning the Q code on the sign or typing in a code. There seemed to be lots of things for the little tykes to do and a Haunted Maze for night time thrills. There is a large patch of pumpkins to chose from and they are reasonably priced. No adult beverages this year due to Covid-19 but they do have bottled water/soda for sale. For a corn maze and pumpkin patch that's easy to get to, Maize in the City is a definite go to. read more

Love taking our grand kids here each year, but imagine our shock and surprise to find out the jump pads cost $14.99 each this year!!!! Granted it says it's for all day, but really??? So many kids activities! They do not charge admission but you do pay for any activity. They do not have an actual u-pick pumpkin patch, just a bunch of already picked pumpkins for you to choose from. I had no idea what to expect coming out here as there are not any pumpkin patches at the beach. Grocery store or mall parking lot bounce house madness was what it was. Siri ,she thought she was funny by trying to mess with the directions. Sent me past the place , and turned me onto a random road and closed fence lot to literally nowhere! Turned around and I got into a car line that flowed into the parking lot . Don't wash your vehicles and then come here. It is a dirt parking lot with rows set up by flags. Saturday afternoon seem to be very busy ! Masks are required , social distancing by staggered entrance to the pumpkin patch itself is being enforced. Some people are not being mindful while waiting in line of staying 6ft away. That's really a hard thing here. Maize in the City admission to chose or "pick" a pumpkin is free ! Pumpkins , depending on the size vary from $5 all the way up past $20. The line seems like it would take a long time to get in , but it actually goes quickly, about 10-15 wait. I was in line about that long on a very busy day. There are Port-a-potty's , hand washing stations , sanitizer throughout the area. They have limited free use wheelbarrows if you can snag one. They have a Haunted Maze at night and you buy tickets online I believe. They have a regular corn maze too. They have a food area that sell snacks and drinks on one side and the other window is for glow products , hats, shirts , haunted maze merch. They have a wooden playground structure and kids are so wonderful and patient waiting in line for their turn. Some people were wiping in between. They have photo op sets throughout the area too. Behaved pups allowed it seems. The checkout line area has small mini pumpkins & gourds , even for a $1. They sell some carving stuff too. Nothing fancy. We didn't actually try the maize here. I know! But we had a great time. All of the employees were friendly, and this is a good choice for families with young children wanting a more low-key pumpkin patch experience with fun kid activities. No fee for the pumpkin patch, though you have to pay for your pumpkins, of course. The pumpkins are reasonably priced, and there was still a good selection the weekend before Halloween. Our daughter especially loved the four bouncy houses and the pony ride. She also really liked the train ride and the petting zoo. You have to pay extra for those activities, and we thought it was worth it to skip the crowds at other places: $6 for all-day access to the bouncy houses; $6 for a pony ride; $4 for the petting zoo, which includes a small cup of food for the animals; and $3 for a train ride through the corn stalks. If your child is 4 and under, one parent can accompany the child in the petting zoo without an additional charge. The train is only for kids, but you can walk behind the train if your kid is a little anxious about riding alone. There are also a couple of free activities: a playground structure and a corn kernel box, instead of a sandbox. And they have fun fall cut outs for pictures and sell food and drinks, including alcohol. We didn't sample the food or drinks this time, so I can't speak to those. But I can say that Maize in the City is a fun pumpkin patch outing without the crowds, which definitely makes me a fan! read more

Had an opportunity to check out maize in the city on a Saturday afternoon. They offer trivia maize or regular. We opted for the trivia. Questions were fun. It wasn't overly crowded. It took us 32 minuets to make it out. We were given a card to punch out at diffefent check points in the maize. We were able to turn the cards in for a free tiny pumpkin or gord. This was a nice touch and a great way to start fall. Most of thr other activites, bouncy house, petting zoo etc were geared towards younger kids. If you are looking for a simple, no fuss way to enjoy the Halloween Festivities... then this is the place! We came here mostly to do a corn maze, pick some pumpkins... and take a few "Halloweeny" Pictures. Mission accomplished. The Mini-Corn Maze is perfect for little kids and the adults. Each walking child is $5 for admission into the maze... with parents/guardians being Free of charge! There are ten checkpoints within the maze.. You hole punch your ticket... and 10 punches = 1 mini pumpkin to take home. The whole maze takes about 20-25 min to complete.. and honestly it's just the right amount of time for you to follow your kids around. My kids are under 8 years old, and they had a blast! There are plenty of wood cut outs to stick your head in and take those must have Halloween pictures... and of course parents & grandparents should take pictures with the kiddos to capture these memories! The pumpkin picking consists of picking a pumpkin of your liking. No fields of mud to walk through and no need to cut the pumpkin off the vine! Yes!!!! They even have wheel barrels to borrow to carry your pumpkins to the check out area. Pumpkins are priced by size... so make sure to have a budget in mind. We got 2 medium sized pumpkin and 1 small pumpkin (not the mini ones) for a total of $11. So for two kid admissions to the Mini Corn Maze and 3 pumpkins (that we purchased) + 2 mini pumpkins (for completing the Mini Corn Maze)... Halloween Pictures on our smartphones... 2 hours of fun. $21... not bad at all! read more

Was pretty disappointed. We came here today at 2-3pm and we're told they were closed due to wind. I get it was very windy today and I understand closing some of the attractions like the corn maze (so you don't get whacked in the face with corn) but closing the pumpkin patch seems questionable. If someone wants to go out in the wind, pumpkins aren't going to fall on you. I feel bad because as we drove around the corner there were at least 15 other people that were waiting to go in. read more

It's an OK place. We went for a couple hours. A couple carnival type rides like a tea cup twist tide. Flying swings. A play swingset set up.?They sell hot dogs & beer. Not enough covered seating at all. Tickets are $1 each Lil rides or a bouncy are $2 - $4 or 2 - 4 tickets each. seems to really lack Wish I could find an awesome fall festival with rides with an entrance fee that covers everything. So when I originally looked - it said open at 10 am. It's a long confusing way out there and to have it closed when we arrived with our little one was super disappointing... I paid 30$ for tickets- so we ended up going back at the end of the day to get our moneys worth. We were there over an hour before closing and the maze was closed!? Turns out- no one is there checking tickets anyway, and everyone else clearly just strolled in for free. What a rip off! This is a huge pumpkin patch with so much to do! It's definitely geared towards children. There are rides, jumpers, corn mazes, and a mini petting zoo. There is food and beer for adults, face painting and a ton of attractions for the little ones. There are various sizes of pumpkins to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is there was a lack of wheelbarrows to carry the pumpkins in. I'm we were having trouble carrying them to the front and other pumpkin patch goers were pretty feisty about use of wheelbarrows. My pregnant ass was lugging around pumpkins and got two wheelbarrows snaked from me cause I couldn't waddle to them fast enough. I guess that's more of a societal issue then it is the pumpkin path... but more wheelbarrows would be helpful. read more

As a kid who grew up surrounded by corn fields, I never had to go to a corn maze - I just ran through a real one :P But the wife was looking to do a corn maze, and as luck should have it, we received a BOGO in the mail for this one. It's paths cut through a corn field, how fun can that be, right? Well this place did a decent job making you guess and leading you on. My wife said the ones she had been to in the past were really simple, so she enjoyed this one. They have checkpoints that you hole punch a card with, and if you complete all 10, you get a free mini-pumpkin. A nice little touch. They also have QR codes on each checkpoint if you want to play their trivia game on your phone and get hints. We didn't take part in this, but saw others enjoying it. It took us about 45 minutes to complete, but could be as little as 30 minutes or as much as an hour or so. Overall, a fun little event for what it is. They also have a pumpkin patch, haunted corn maze at night, bouncy castle, and more. Probably more fun for the kiddos, but they do have alcoholic beverages for the adults. Plenty of parking (though it is in a field, so it can be messy) and very friendly staff. A good choice for the family, or even just a date. read more

I had family in town and I was looking for some fun things to do while they were here and I found that Maize in the city had something to do for all ages. My nieces and nephews had a blast getting to play with the goats, riding on the horses, picking pumpkins and going through the corn maze. Thank you for making there visit a rememberable one. read more
