Christian and her assistant, Sarah were so responsive and personable that made our planning process easy and actually fun even from a distance (we live in Chicago). They were organized, eager to help and gave lists of top of the line vendors to work with. Christian was welcoming and made us feel so comfortable on their Ranch. She even gave my wife a warm hug and calming words of advice on our wedding day. Deer Creek Valley Ranch will always hold a dear place in our hearts. I'll never forget the amazing sight of my wife coming over the Covered Bridge on a horse drawn carriage to marry me. Now I hear the place is even better now that their Man Cave is done! Seeing the story on channel 31 they called. Three Trees stepped in and did a FANTASTIC job with the wedding and also physically helped me with placing all the decor! They rented out the…read morewhole bed and breakfast for a three-day weekend, had the wedding in the field on Saturday, and invited the bridal party and the out of town guests to stay in the rooms. The bride and groom had their own cabin in the meadow -- so romantic! What a charming place! My husband and I stayed in the Colorado Sun room, which had so many amenities: a kitchenette, private hot tub, double-sided fireplace, two-person shower, and even a sauna! The whole B&B had just a ton of history and character. The furnishings were all super comfortable, with a relaxed, rustic vibe. A few things needed some updating and fixing, though. There was no hot water from the kitchen sink of our room because the little under-sink water heater was broken. One of the baseboards had come lose in the bathroom and there was tons of mold on the drywall. The water up there is well water, and it was incredibly soft; hard to wash the shampoo out of your hair, and it tasted NASTY. Definitely consider bringing your own bottled drinking water if you're going to stay a few days. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was pretty good. Two of the staff came up each morning to cook and serve hearty potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice, etc. It wasn't particularly good, but it was nice to have a hot, served meal that wasn't pizza delivery. We ate breakfast outside, where the bees were a nuisance because they wanted all of our food. We had just a fantastic weekend up here! Definitely the best wedding I've ever been to. I would highly recommend Meadow Creek for events of all kinds, but especially if you want to rent out the whole place.

We selected the separate cabin in the meadow for our two day stay. Initial appearance was exciting but once we occupied unit we found how lacking it was. It is billed as small and intimate but we found the place "just" dirty and tried to overlook it. Clean towels and sheets were provided. Screen door did not fit so bugs, gnats, flies and moths inside. Had a King bed but for us the mattress was too soft. Very low toilet and small shower. Hot tub in room puts off odor and cycles throughout the day - meaning it comes on 2-3 times at night in a very quiet setting. Local water tasted and smelled terrible...so bring bottled water (some provided). Two FOLDING chairs provided for deck which needs upkeep badly. When we arrived we had no clue where to go for check in. - which door? 9am breakfast is too late for us and was ok. Visiting with other guests always a plus. The Elk in the meadow was a real plus too.

A beautiful venue for any special occasion!…read more I was a bridesmaid for my friend and she was getting married here. She coordinated with the venue so I'm not quite sure how that all worked out. But I will speak about the venue itself. When you first get there, it's a gravel or dirt parking lot. Very large so plenty of space for guests. When you first walk in it's a large barn door that leads to an open floor. My friend had circle tables on either side that led to a walkway and the dance floor. The grooms suite is up the stairs, kind of like a little attic/loft. The bridal suite was downstairs, way bigger room with great lighting, plenty of mirrors, and a bathroom. Downstairs is where they held the bar area, very spacious I thought. No sitting but plenty of bar tables so people could stand. They also have an upstairs loft over the dance floor, where we took photos. Overall, I think the venue is beautiful and if you're looking for that rustic barn theme, then this is it!

Black gravel (old milled asphalt?) covered the ground and gave every exterior photo a post-devastation look (think burned out landscape). Puddles everywhere from recent rain which probably kept the dust down. Inside was very rustic with stained glass windows clashing with corny home spun sayings on old tin signs, pick a lane; full on cow crib or country church. One bathroom for guests second one was for bridal party, think end of the half at a Bronco's game. Doors were not opened so even though it was only 75 degrees outside body heat and the humidity made the interior miserable, the upper floor was a sauna, this is where you seat the guests you don't like. I had better mountain views from my downtown Denver hotel room and with nightfall the gas station up the road was clearly visible and all lit up. Plus side was that after the drive up I wasn't drinking as I knew I had a challenging downhill ride in the dark to look forward to. The least picturesque, convenient and comfortable barn wedding I've been to.
