So let me start off by saying that this is a great place to bring kids. It didn't seem "run down" like someone else mentioned and it offered lots of cute activities for the little ones. Sure some of the activities were built using older machinery or even a few dated items but you're visiting a farm not some fancy outdoor mall or something. There was a bouncy pillow. Which I've never seen before but was a ton of fun. A little sketchy & very slippery if you're wearing socks but you just need to be cautious and aware of the other people bouncing. Both me and my husband bounced with our 27 month old and we all had a blast. There was a big hay slide, which our son also enjoyed. It was fairly high but was a great slide for kids. The tractor swings were cute but sorta what you'd expect from a set of swings. There was a little barrel train that's pulled around using a riding mower. But again, my 27 month old had a great time on these. They also had a few bouncy houses which are always pretty popular with the kids. There was face painting, a little playset for toddlers and of course the animals. My son petted the goats and enjoyed visiting the animals. There were pigs, ponies, goats, a sheep & a llama. I didn't see any other animals so there could have been others but those were the ones that were out when we visited. Now the reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is because this is by no means a pumpkin patch. Yes, they sell pumpkins that you can purchase for a separate price. And yes, they advertise and stage the place like an actual patch, but this is certainly not an authentic pumpkin patch. One thing that stood out to us - we noticed one of the barns was the designated backstock where they kept huge crates of pumpkins purchased from elsewhere. They would obviously just go pull from the crates and set them out in an empty field to make it look like they were grown there. I guess if this is something you're not bothered by, then by all means. But it definitely bothered me and stuck out in my mind because I grew up going to pumpkin farms where they'd grown rows and rows of pumpkins and you'd have to walk up and down each row looking for just the right one. It just gave off a certain charm to be part of that. Whereas this place felt more like an imitation patch that offered lots of fall activities. In other words a fun center, NOT a pumpkin PATCH. read more

Y'all, you need to go! Pretty much everything is included in the price which made it where we got to experience everything! I was in happy tears with how much fun my daughter was having. She is only 18 months and was running back in, she has never wanted to stay somewhere but here. Horrible experience! The food court was a disaster. They have a child working the counter probably around 10 years old. Absolutely no manners. She grabbed my credit card from my hand. She spoke over me. Messed up my order. She was bossing around two grown women working with her. To top it off she grabbed my food without washing her hands. This was absolutely ridiculous. What creditable business has a child working much less with food. I will never return. read more

My two-year-old daughter was so excited to go to this petting zoo. We drove 45 minutes and when we arrived it was closed. Google Maps and their phone operating system said it was open. No one was there, the animals seemed over crowded and sad. It was just donkeys, ponies, and horses. Nothing special. I finally spoke to a man on the phone. He said he might be able to open it for us, but he wasn't there. But he couldn't find anyone to come. This is just a poorly run business that should be shut down. read more

Had a pony's birthday party schedule for my kid today and no one showed up. I schedule this 3 weeks in advance and had an email confirmation. They promised to contact me a few days before the party and never did so I got worried and tried contacting them unsuccessfully., Today 2 hours before the party started they sent an email that they short on guys. This was very disappointing considering the location being so Far East (I thought I was going to a legit farm). The activities were limited and basic at best, everything is old and really felt like a run down mini acreage from 1972. Really was not enjoyable compared to the other pumpkin patches in Colorado Springs. Absolutely nowhere for good photos op unless you just want to plop your kids in dusty dirt with a run down swing set in the background. They really need to INVEST and take a page from Long Neck Farm to see how a modern pumpkin patch farm can be. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I understand mistakes happen but working with this company was a nightmare. I hired the traveling petting zoo for my daughters birthday party. They came two hours before the party started. Left and went to another party told me they would be back an hour later than they were supposed to be. Then never showed up at all. It completed ruined my daughters day and the owners did not at all care or try to make it right. read more

Cute little family adventure. $10 admission for everyone 2 years of age and older which seems a little steep. In side there is a tiny petty zoo with a couple of donkeys and adorable little goats. You can look at various other farm animals. For the kids there is a bounce pad, pony ride (costs $4 extra), tiny corn pit, barrel train, tiny hay maze for toddlers, hay pyramid for climbing, bike track made of hay, horse shaped tire swings, tube slide made from tubing, water pumps for duck racing, a tractor trailer ride and of course the pumpkin patch. Our little guy LOVED the hay maze. Taking our time this provided us with about 2 hours of entertainment and we didn't even do everything. The pumpkins were good quality and an additional $4 per pumpkin. We bought some pumpkin bread which was also delicious. This is not a big budget production, but it was cute enough and we got some great pumpkins. We'll probably be back next year. Probably gets 3-3.5 stars in my book, but will round up to 4. read more

I loved this farm. Not only are the pumpkins well kept and very affordable, but with an entrance fee of $10 you have an entire day of family fun. It includes activities, swing sets, hay rides, jumping stations, and animal petting. For those that love animals this place is amazing. You are able to play with goats and donkeys! Almost better than the zoo. I love what the owners have done with the place, it's a great way to get away and do something calm and different in the weekend. read more

We had such an amazing time at this farm that we will be coming back each year. The prices are very reasonable for everything included and my girls talked about their experience for days after. They bounced and rode ponies, swing on tire swings, rode on a hay ride, enjoyed the petting zoo, and got to pick out their own pumpkins which were great quality for the price. The smiles on their faces made the 40 minute trip completely worth it. read more

I would give a 5 star review for the fun time that we had at the Wishing Star Farm, but $4 for a very short (seemed like about 1 minute) pony ride seems a little steep. Also, my son really wanted to do the hay maze, but it was 8 friggin dollars! Just to walk around in a bunch of hay bales.... I thought the place was great, and my kids had a blast doing the things that we could afford. I don't mind that the pony ride and maze cost extra, but in order to let them do all of it, it would have cost $62 for the two hours that we spent there. And that does NOT count any food or drinks, but it does include 2 pumpkins ($4 each). If the prices had been $2 for a pony ride, we would have done it twice! and had the maze cost $4, they would have gotten another $12 of my money in stead of none. We also would have spent more time there which would have required us to spend more on food and drinks. Ultimately, they would have made more money off us, it if the price of the maze and pony rides had been lower. (The admission is a little steep too at $10 per person, but I have complained enough about the prices) All that said, we had a wonderful time and hope to go back again next year. (If the admission etc. were cheaper, we would probably go twice... oh well.) read more
