After having spectacular Hawaiian food and trying not to fall into a food coma before going to try out "the greatest ice cream around" we decided to look up a park to take the kiddos to so they can run off their energy and we adults can do adult things.
Aka turning into a portable fence. Chasing them. Playing tea parties. Turning into a herding dog. Speaking babble. Pretty sure I'm close to an Expert in that language based on my time at this park.
The cool thing about this location? There are actually two parks! There's one park at the top of the hill, and another park at the bottom. I'm pretty sure the one at the bottom belongs to the school. It was a weekend so it was a free for all.
When we first arrived at the school (the location to find the one at the top was VERY hard, since it is a neighborhood park, I still don't know how or where to park your vehicle) and parked there. As we got out there were two adult women screaming at each other. They both had dogs and were walking away. One hollered about was she scared to face her, that the ladies dog not her dog. The other lady was screaming back. At first we didn't know if we should stay. Both women left the park - with their dogs and didn't come back the entire duration.
This was a great location to bring the kids. So much fun was had. read more
