There is so much to do that is out of the ordinary: hike up a mountain at 2am and watch a meteor shower, ride a horse for 5 days/50 miles, participate in Gymkhana, make rose-petal soap, and so so much more... It's hard to put into words how special this place is to me and so many others. You kind of just have to find out for yourself. Without this camp, I don't think I would have such a strong sense of self/wonder/imagination. It's the kind of place that fosters creativity, love for the outdoors and tight bonds with others. Our kids have been going to camp here for the past few years. It's hands down their favorite part…read moreof the summer. They get to ride horses, mountain board, do archery, swim, hike and more. The owners Lynn and Mike are incredibly easy to work with. All the staff are well trained and very attentive to the children and help stretch their comfort zone in fun challenging activities. This year camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, CMR has been hosting single family activities to ensure social distancing. We took the opportunity to do this and we had a blast. As parents, we really didn't know much about how the kids spent their time on the ranch. Spending time up there made me feel like a kid again. The staff made the whole experience fun and easy. The measures that CMR are taking to reduce exposure to the virus are as good as any place I've seen. They sanitize every piece of equipment and touch point between each family and keep the flushies sparkling. Oh and hundreds of acres to spread out the guests. After several months of quarantine and more to come, CMR's 2020 family program was much needed. It's also worth mentioning that various special needs grants and scholarships will cover the family program.

The owners are real people running a locally owned business, and offering GREAT service to their customers! They don't have all of the bells and whistles of the larger and more corporate trampoline/ninja parks, but the experience was just as enjoyable for our family! I have three boys and a girl aged 16 to 6. They are in gymnastics and are self-taught in Ninja obstacles. At first, the staff hesitated to allow my kids to try the advanced ninja obstacles (because it was our first time there), but communicated that clearly and considerately, while eventually giving them a chance to "prove themselves" under proper supervision. I appreciated their genuine concern for my kids' safety, while still being willing to cater to their desire to challenge themselves. My boys also appreciated the staff catering to them so they could enjoy the experience even more! Warrior Playground appears on the Colorado "Get Out Pass" which gets you a free session at the playground during Open Gym time on certain days.

Beautiful Nature and raptor center only a short drive from Colorado Springs, in Pueblo west. I took…read morea field trip to the raptor center with my photography class and the volunteers were very accommodating and set up a time that was convenient for us to shoot without many bystanders. We were happy to give them donations to help care of these very lucky birds, whom they find around the area hurt, injured or abused by people. They have all sorts of raptors, from small owls (my personal fluffy favorite) to eagles, falcons, vultures and much more. We had a great day with two volunteers (husband and wife) who care for these animals greatly. You could tell they were so proud to show us their 'babies' and we shot photographs to our heart's content. The nature center is down the road from the raptor center and is a beautiful oasis on the river. Very nice gardens in the front, a nice deck area on the back. Really nice surroundings for bird watching. I am a fan! PS: These are the same folks who come to the Cheyenne Canon Hummingbird Festival in May...
