You have to pay $25pp day pass... but a camping site is $75 and they provide day passes for all those at your site. They have plenty of camping sites available last minute. The whole property is so well maintained. We did 2 nice hikes, our daughter did the tubing hill and aerial course. She had a blast. All of that was included. The rooms were old, but nice. Bunk for the kids and queen bed for us. We stayed in one of the lodges. There was a common room with a fireplace and some games we utilized, too. We had a mini fridge and microwave. We used those for storing breakfast and lunch items and the microwave for popcorn at night. Was a nice stay! The cross country skiing trails were great, even with the limited snow that this year has brought. Great workout and loads of fun. We did that with our kids for a few hours each day (January stay).

She also does paint and sip, as well as sip and spin pottery classes for adults; and let me tell you, what she offers for the price is far superior to what I got in a similar pottery class in Seattle where I currently reside. She walks every person through the process in such a way that everyone learns something and each person ends up with a beautiful piece of pottery they can be proud of. It is so obvious that she loves what she does and her business success is apparent, because of it. She's one of those people who make you feel like a friend of the family-- she often remembers your name, and does everything to make you feel right at home in her shop. I was cautious in my expectations and hopefuI that this would be a good experience for him. I met with Ann beforehand to gain a better understanding of her experience with helping children with these needs. She assured me he would be safe. We established a code word if he needed to call me to come and get him immediately and yet I never heard from him. I had tears when I dropped him off, three weeks is a long time. I also had tears of joy when I picked him up. Under Ann's guidance he thrived. He is no longer the angry, impulsive boy I dropped off. He is happy, joyful and willing to help out. He told me he would like to come back next year and I asked him if it was because of Ann and the gang or because it was Colorado. His response, both! As I unpacked his belongings I realized he had a extra pair of shoes, I asked where they came from and his response was that he outgrew all of his shoes while there and they went out and bought him a new pair. I was never asked to reimburse them or provide another pair. They just did what any parent would do... BTW my child did see a dr while he was there, for altitude sickness. As I work in the medical field he had quite the conversation with this individual and told me all about it on our way home. As everything else in life not all camps or all campers are a good fit. The Learning Camp is a great fit for my son. Would I like to receive more updates, yes but not at the expense of my son going on adventures. WHen I contacted Ann I had a response in the same day and I knew just from what she said my son was safe and truly having the experience of a lifetime. Ann and Tom are wonderful and I feel like I am leaving my kids with trusted friends when I drop them off each summer. We are huge fans of Avid!…read more My boys are 4 and 5. They've been on training wheels for a year, striders before that. Avid's "learn to bike" camp transformed them into junior cyclists. On Monday, they were struggling. By Friday they were peddling in their own! Hayley is a delight. She's always available and smiling. I was psyched to see some friendly faces from Eldora as well. We'll be signing up for a week of regular Avid camp later this summer.

Every time I have dropped my kids off or picked them up for this camp for the last two summers the…read morecounselors have been ignoring the kids. Never once have they been playing a game during down time, the counselors seem very overwhelmed and inexperience. Also, they no longer own enough Vans and so many times kids will not have a place to shelter in severe weather. The counselors in charge of the 5/6 year old kids wasn't watching the kids at all when I picked my kid up a half hour early. The kids were told to hang out under a shelter with absolutely no games or activities during a day that rained all day.
