It was delicious! The size of it was monstrous! It was magnificent! I had to cancel my order of fries! Lol They have beverages here but not on tap; everything is in a can. That's a good thing in my opinion. The prices of everything is very reasonable and manageable. The service is top notch but what I enjoyed the most was the conversation and recommendation as this was my first, but not last, time visiting. I'm so mad I'm just now trying them. I'll be trying their breakfast next time because I saw a plate the owner was making and it made my mouth water like a Doberman Pinscher finally getting that bone. They accept cash, debit, and credit, the latter via square and they'll email or text you a receipt if needed. Very convenient and practical. I had to write a review of a food truck for a class, and this food truck was one of very few in Birmingham that offered vegetarian options and was open late. It was hard to find one that was open after I got off work. I would have probably never gone to this place except that it was one of the only options for my assignment, but I will recommend it to others who like to support local businesses and need a quick bite.

Birmingham Restaurant Week has ended and I am happy I got the chance to try some new places so I can tell you all about them. So let's get right into it. First up is The Lil Bougie Foodie INC. What brought me to them is what I saw written all over their food truck. It said Home of the Bougie burger, so I was very intrigued. So I ordered it after asking what all came on it. I don't fully remember what was all on it and unfortunately I tried to find it only but there is no description of it I could find so I'll do my best here. Like I said I ordered The Bougie Burger (A LA Cart). It had cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce, and bougie sauce. Oh and two smashed patties. This burger was good. In my own opinion it was lacking just a touch of season and I wish they had given me more of the sauce on the burger it was like I know it's there but wish I had more of it. Also I was disappointed I received bacon bits on my burger instead of actual slices of bacon (not sure what was going on there). Also on the picture it looks like there burgers were served with White American cheese but I received Yellow American (yes they taste different to me), don't get me wrong I love yellow American so it didn't bother me at all. Anyways this burger was very good would 100% get this again and can't wait to try what else they have on the menu. I give the burger a 8.9/10. Just like tacos, the flautas rely heavily on the salsa quality that they are bathed in; this key component either makes or breaks them. These were not overly spicy, and the many flavors complimented this traditional dish very well. The decor in this place is legit, and staff are knowledgeable and proud of the food they serve. If you want authentic Mexican food, I recommend Taco Morro Loco. I am looking forward to eating here again, next time I am in Birmingham.

The tripa was well-seasoned, and the tacos were satisfying overall. The staff on the truck were friendly and patient while I decided what to order, and I never felt rushed. My food was prepared quickly, which I definitely appreciated. The only downside was the price. I paid around $11 or $12 for two tacos, which is a bit more expensive than the food truck I usually visit. That said, I assume the higher price is due to the Lakeview location. I've been a fan/customer way before Whitney had her truck and held pop-ups at events around the city. The food is always fresh and hot since it's made to order. I love how she offers a different menu than what most of the other trucks offer. She even offers a salad option for those that want a lighter fare. If you're looking for burgers or polish sausage...this isn't your truck. But if you want delicious, Creole inspired cuisine, definitely look out for Simone's Kitchen ATL (the truck) at a location near you.
