Not great but good. There was a decent amount of beef but the tacos were not overly stuffed. The consommé or soup was a little oily but not bad. 4/5 The chicken burrito was very good. It had a good amount of meat and was seasoned well. 5/5 The chips and salsa were a disappointment. The chips were great. The salsa had way too much sugar. I ate two bites and stopped due to the high sugar content. I thought I had pics of the chips and salsa but I don't. 3/5 Overall my experience was good. I prefer Catrinas. 4/5

In the mood for a baker? Baby they have it and it is offering all the flavor! In the mood for a plate of plant based foods? Their hot bar always delivers! They don't skimp on portions, quality or taking your taste buds for a ride. Service has never missed for me. The location is easy to find and I don't have to fight for parking. Took the tamales home and was digging into them within 10 minutes. I would definitely say they are above average. They tasted fresh and not grainy....but a little light on the flavor. The sauce that came with the tamales definitely helps and kicks the flavor up a notch. On that front, I would recommend getting at least a sauce per tamale ordered since the sauce container is so tiny. I ran out of the sauce before I even finished the first one! While my search for the best tamale around is not over, I would definitely order from Tamale Queen again the next time I run into them!
