It had a good amount of meat and was seasoned well. 5/5 The chips and salsa were a disappointment. The chips were great. The salsa had way too much sugar. Took the tamales home and was digging into them within 10 minutes. I would definitely say they are above average. They tasted fresh and not grainy....but a little light on the flavor. The sauce that came with the tamales definitely helps and kicks the flavor up a notch. On that front, I would recommend getting at least a sauce per tamale ordered since the sauce container is so tiny. I ran out of the sauce before I even finished the first one! While my search for the best tamale around is not over, I would definitely order from Tamale Queen again the next time I run into them!

I ordered the Beef Kebob and my husband got the Lamb Mandi. The beef itself was flavorful and tender, but there were only about 4-5 small pieces sitting on top of a huge portion of rice. The rice was bland and dry. The lamb mandi also lacked flavor, and the lamb was very dry and bland as well. Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience.
