He grew frustrated at our questions. Apparently we took too long on menu questions, we never got the cooking tutorial. Our grill was not even turned up, so our food took forever to cook but again - no one told us how to adjust it or anything more. Our hot plates were not on because the server said if the light was in that they were working. Nope. You had to adjust it. I had to ask three employees for forks and they all sent us to the fork station even though I continued to tell everyone that there were no forks at the station. One staff got annoyed that I asked them to bring me some when they were finally cleaned. The server also argued me over my first responder status. The same server that let our plates pile up and I had to chase down for a refill on a water. So on a table of four, we had plates piling up with soups on the hot plates and the griddle in the middle. Overall, the ambiance was amazing - the service sucked. The staff is not helpful. For the money you pay, you would expect something more than being ignored. It would be a beautiful experience if someone was delicate and kind to show us the ropes. Now we know, we would do it again. But not here.

I've eaten at Brothers BBQ a handful of times and I feel confident enough at this point to tell you…read moreabout it. Now this is just my opinion, so don't get crazy. Compared to other bbq in the area, I believe Brothers is a winner. The food quality is great, and techniques of prep and cooking are perfectly mastered. The brisket has a flavorful crust and it breaks apart with a fork. The baked beans have all the right stuff to make them excellent. Baked Mac and cheese is BAKED. The chicken falls off the bone and smoked perfectly. Candied yams are perfect and you can actually taste the butter that you're SUPPOSED to bake into it, (they're the only ones who make it right) in my opinion. We ordered an appetizer of "burnt bacon ends", and so much flavor, and fall apart with a fork. The cocktails were potent, so beware . Did I say enough about the food? Even the service was great. One of the owners even swung by to see if we needed anything. If you haven't already gone, go. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere, and sometimes has live entertainment. You'll love it.

Still, it misses a few foundational beats when it comes to true Southern hospitality and comfort. Atmosphere & First Impressions From the outside, you might easily mistake the restaurant for being closed. The windows make it tough to see in, and on a rainy day with the outdoor seating empty, it feels a bit hidden away. You are greeted by a wonderfully comfortable waiting area featuring plush sofas and a seating bench. I also really appreciated seeing such a diverse crowd of customers dining here, which is especially refreshing to see for this area. Be warned before you walk through the door: bring a sweater. They do not skimp on the air conditioning; they blast it! On the positive side, the bathrooms are immaculate while keeping that traditional, classic BBQ joint feel. Seating & Service When we arrived, I requested a quieter area due to sensory sensitivities. We waited a bit and were ultimately seated right next to the noisy bar. It looked like there was a cozy little nook past the fireplace that would have been ideal, but it had a laptop sitting on it. Even for a Sunday supper, keeping areas like that closed off when a guest needs a quieter space felt like a missed opportunity. Our waitress was working double duty as a bartender, so she was straight to business. She was efficient enough to give us what we needed, but lacking that warm, conversational touch. At the end of the meal, we weren't thanked for coming in but told to drive safely. We were accidentally overcharged for a fountain soda we never ordered. While the waitress corrected it when pointed out, there was an absolute lack of an apology. Taking responsibility is part of the package. The Meal: Highs and Lows The Cornbread: Starting off, the meal kicks off with complimentary cornbread, but it comes with a couple of caveats. Depending on how you were raised, cornbread camps are deeply divided on sweetness. This version is very sweet, crumbly, and honey forward. It is almost tasting like a boxed Jiffy honey mix with some extras. Unfortunately, it was cold and served with ice cold, solid butter that wouldn't spread. If you want more, it's $2 a piece, a detail they really ought to mention upfront rather than leaving it as a surprise. It is nice that they give it complimentary but they are banking on you consuming it and when you get your BBQ you want more but have to pay. It would be nice to be upfront about this. The Meats: The barbecue itself delivers. The meat is smoked nicely. We sampled the pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and sausage, paired with table-side salt, pepper, and just one single type of BBQ sauce available on the table. The Sides & Fixins: The baked beans were good, but the sides could have been much hotter. The collard greens had a noticeable crunch from the stems and consisted strictly of greens without any pieces of pork or turkey mixed in. I liked that it was not too salty for my liking. As for the mac and cheese, it lacked that signature baked cheese crust on top as seen in photos online. Visiting around 5:30pm on a Sunday evening left us wondering if we caught the tail end of things or were served leftover portions. Tableware & Details The tableware leaves room for improvement. Aside from the metal meat trays, everything is served on melamine (plastic) plates rather than real ceramic and you are each given a cloth napkin. Furthermore, guests are only given butter knives, and the cutlery could definitely be elevated to better enjoy the experience - especially to ensure proper access to napkins for a messy barbecue meal. Drinks & Hospitality The Sweet Tea: The sweet tea is sweet and good. However, you are not offered a refill here. For a Southern style spot, not offering a complimentary or even low cost refill on sweet tea felt neglectful and impolite. It's a small touch of hospitality that goes a long way. With roots that spread throughout the south, I have not experienced this even consuming BBQ at home in NY. Other Drinks: Cocktails run around $16 a person (which made neighboring tables wince a bit at $32 for two drinks), but I thoroughly enjoyed a cold Shiner beer straight from Texas. My beer was $12 tall boy and COLD. Ultimately, despite a few missteps with the sides and service, they have the smoking technique down well. True Southern hospitality is about making folks feel welcome, warm, and genuinely cared for from the moment they step in to the moment they leave, and bringing more of that heart to the dining room would elevate this place immensely.

The food was definitely pricey here. There were items on the menu that had a Lego minifigure head bucket for $55.99! It contained 6 crispy chicken tenders and French fries in the small Lego head cup. I thought it was quite expensive. I ended up getting a chicken tender basket for $18.99 that included 3 chicken tenders and French fries. I also got a kids chicken tender meal for $14.99. The kids meal included 2 chicken tenders, juice, chips, fruit snack, and an exclusive pop badge in a souvenir bag. When I got the souvenir bag, I was upset there was no pop badge in the bag. I complained to the kitchen staff and they said they ran out. I couldn't do anything else afterwards so I just let it go. Then towards the end of the day, my souvenir bag tore apart at the handle and I was upset that it was made out of paper so it was hard to reuse. I must admit, the chicken tenders were very juicy and crispy. They were very long and big. It was so juicy and tender to rip apart. These were the best chicken tenders I had in my life. Not even dry inside the chicken tender. It was very easy to chew and did not require much teeth action. Fries were alright and were best dipped in ketchup or honey mustard. The condiments were available for grabs on the counter including napkins. There were refillable fountain soda machine dispensers for us to refill. The place was very spacious and only families were sitting there eating their food. All the tables had enough space apart for privacy. The tables were made out of thick solid wood that were heavy to move around. It was very kid friendly because the chairs were high enough for toddlers to sit and meet their food at the table. The whole place was very cool from the AC. It was not that loud at all too.

It wasn't too busy, so we got to put in our order within couple of minutes of waiting. The staff members serve the items and put them on a tray. The checkout is right next to it, so it was a well organized process. We picked the Smokin BBQ platter that came with 2 sandwiches, 2 sides, 4 chicken tenders and fries. Seemed the perfect deal for our family of three, costing $55.99. We received 10% discount for being Gold member. All the staff members were friendly during the ordering process. The condiment and soda dispenser area was so nice, with lots of sauces and utensils lined up next to each other. The dining hall was big with lots of booths and tables available for dine-in. They had tables available outside too. Both areas were mostly clean and well maintained by the staff. Food wise the shredded chicken was a decent sandwich, I would have preferred to be more flavorful. I liked the pulled pork meat better than chicken. The side of Mac and cheese and fries were really good. The chicken tenders were huge but extra fried. Was little difficult to bite and chew them. Overall for a theme park restaurant, I was content with the experience.

The pineapple aqua Fresca was sweet but not overpowering, wish they had strawberry one. For the tacos they bigger than street tacos by a mile and very generous with meat filling. Particularly the shrimp one was impressive since usually I find places that don't use jumbo size for shrimp tacos and just use popcorn size and a lot cilantro and onion to mask it. The consommé dip was incredible and glad they left chucks of beef in it like a little soup. The queso birria taco was not greasy or messy, right amount of cheese and beef. Some of us got coffees which took a bit but they were delicious. Definitely worth the wait. They have a good kids menu too. We got the frychos with chorizo as an appetizer which I've always loved but everyone at the table enjoyed them. Although I have my regular favorites I decided to try something off the brunch menu and I'm glad I did. I got the chilaquiles with green sauce and carne asada. It was very good. My only complaint was the steak wasn't cut up but that could be a personal preference. It tasted great. My husband got the breakfast torta with chorizo and really liked it. My mother in law got the breakfast omelet and she's very picky but loved it. The service was great the entire time. She even took a group photo for us at the end.
