The food was awesome!! All the folks working there were so friendly and helpful. I came in with my elderly mom, and the staff was so kind and accommodating to us. I would've preferred to eat it there, but our circumstances didn't allow it. The staff so carefully packaged everything up--keeping components separate so they didn't get soggy or yucked up in transit. Then they took the time to explain about everything we had. It was just a really lovely experience on top of some exceptionally great food. Thank you!! read more

We got the 4 meat, 4 side and 2 drink combo and it was fantastic! $30 for all of this food and it tastes amazing. Brisket was tender and juicy, tri-tip had great flavor and the pulled pork had that fantastic smokey flavor you crave. BBQ has a good balance of sweet and savory and the sides were delicious. The staff is warm and welcoming and we were told the gentleman who does the smoking has been at this since he was 16. His passion for this is evident in the food. read more

Smokey Mo - 4 meat, 4 sides and 2 drink combo - Barbeque Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Some barbecue places are good at meats but have mediocre sides. Smokey Mo's is great at both. Best barbecue in Tucson, hands down. Generous portions on the side dishes, and the sauce has just the right amount of heat to it. Very friendly staff. Excellent service every time we come. Don't miss dessert; they smash homemade peach cobbler into vanilla ice cream. read more

Delicious! Must try! The food is amazing and I was raised by a father who always made the best home cooked Texas style barbecue so that is saying a lot. Even he gave it the thumbs up. The owner is always very helpful and friendly as well. read more

Really good new BBQ joint in Tucson. The place was really busy on a Friday afternoon. They have a great deal for a 4 meat plate and 4 sides for 29.00. I definitely left full. I got the wings, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage links. The sides were really good. I did share the platter and it was plenty of food. The service was really fast as well. Come by and try this place. read more

Fried catfish is hard to find in Tucson, and I was so excited to see that fried catfish is the Friday special here! You get two big delicate filets, perfectly fried in cornmeal, served with hot sauce, fries, and coleslaw. Perfection. I'll definitely be returning for more catfish, and to try the bbq too! read more

Place was awesome... looking forward to going back and trying a few new items. Brisket sandwich and onion rings were excellent

All I gotta say is hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. The food here is good with highs and lows. The wings are a must try. The place is small with a relax industrial like patio out back. The service is excellent. The big guy in the front will be THE #1 reason why people will continue to come here. I wonder, if you put the 'Mo' in Smokey Mo. read more

This is one of the best BBQ places I've ever ate and trust me I've ate a lot. The portion size was perfect for my party of 3 as we got the 4 meat 4 side special and we just devoured it and we got today special as well, the special was brisket street tacos (3 tacos). The customer service was excellent, we never been here and they explained the menu very well and explain the types of meats so that's also a big plus. The sweet tea was very good not to sweet not to plain brewed just right. The smoke house was very clean and welcoming as well. The price was just perfect as other BBQ place charge a lot but this establishment was good on the price. So if your looking for a good portion to get full and looking for AMAZING smoked food then you should definitely come here read more

According to my preschooler the brisket sandwich from Smokey Mo is her "heart's favorite thing." I think mine feels similar. We tried to sample as much of the delicious barbecue with tasty sides as possible on our first visit: pulled pork along with the brisket sandwich, collard greens, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and some cornbread. Everything had great flavor. The mac n cheese was a little peppery for the five-year-old, and the slaw was creamy rather than vinegary, but everyone found something they loved. For me it was the greens. They were so good and had a great little kick. And the cornbread didn't even need butter. The desserts were pretty incredibly too... And, what's more, the staff is super friendly! We will definitely be back. read more

Amazing. Some of the best barbecue I've had in tucson. Ordered the 4 mear platter to share. The meats were wonderful. The collared greens were the best I've ever had. Everything was full of flavor. The sweet tea couldn't have been better if I made it myself. Even ordered more food to take home for later. read more

I've heard so many good things about Smokey Mo's! Treated my kids & myself to a big dinner & ordered a little bit of everything! The kind of food that makes you feel like you at your aunties BBQ cookout! Will definitely come back! read more

I ordered the chicken wings. They were fantastic! meat fell off the bone seasoning as exceptionally well done. the collard greens were a little spicy, but I appreciated the kick. very flavorful I will recommend. I didn't like the fries they were a little cold, but otherwise EXCELLENT! read more

We were visiting Tucson and decided to try this place. The service was okay but the food was not the best. The meat was good, but I got collard greens and Mac and cheese. The greens were not good. Seems like they should have been cooked longer, they were crunchy and not seasoned. It was a group of us and all 4 of us who got them were disappointed. Everyone tried adding salt and hot sauce so they taste better but since I paid so much for my meal, I took mine back and asked for something else. Then I ordered a slice of sweet potato pie. The pie was light and creamy . It was nasty, no taste at all for 3.50. I should see a darker color and taste some cinnamon and nutmeg. Seems like the sweet potatoes were just blended creamy and put in a pie shell. Very disappointed. read more

Very nice place with delicious food. They were accommodating to my two year old which was appreciated. I recommend the ribs and the peach ice cream. I also recommend sitting on the patio which offered a great view of the sunset. My only suggestions would be to serve beer and to make some effort to reduce plastic waste. All the cutlery was single use plastic. read more

Just say ENOUGH good things about this establishment. Family home cooking at it's BEST! GREAT SERVICING, PRICED RIGHT! You have the feeling that someone is preparing these dishes personally for YOU. Highly recommend for the ENTIRE family. read more

I recommend this place, somewhat ! The ribs would have been better plain without sauce. Great flavor and tender, but salty sauce. My pork tips were tasty with a "Carolina" type sauce- vinegary! Some people especially like that - I'm more a sweeter flavor sauce guy. The corn bread had good flavor but was dry. Service was good ! read more

Best BBQ place I've ever been to. The owner and all staff working here are so friendly. A must go!

Wow! The food here is mouth watering and delicious! The meat is so tender it falls off the bone. The sauce is tangy and delightful. Most of all we enjoyed the freshest coleslaw we have ever had! Amazing food, we wish we lived closer ! A bit far from Anaheim CA read more

Food was good. Prices were a little expensive, but it's understandable with how the world is. We got the pulled pork sandwich combo. It was good! Perfect amount of spice and sauce. Best BBQ that I have had in Tucson. I don't know why I haven't been here before, but decided to stop in and get some dinner to go. The delicious smell coming from the restaurant, made me want to try everything. Very small area, with counter service, small indoor seating and patio seating. We got tri tip sandwich, potato salad, chicken wings and the Saturday special of 1/2 lb burnt ends. The meats were well sauced, tender and flavorful. I can not wait to come back and try more. read more

It is hands down the best BBQ in Tucson! KC style which has sauce with a bit of a kick (not much though). Absolutely delicious whether it's ribs, chicken, pulled pork, or brisket. I also love that they have fried okra (hard to find in these here parts). Sweet tea and kool-aid are a plus. Service is consistent and friendly and portions are generous. Support local! This place is a hidden gem that should be front and center. read more

I love great BBQ and have ate superb meats in KC and TX. For Tucson standards, this place is top notch. I'm all about customer service and our greeting when opening the door was high energy. I explained it was our first time in the restaurant and the greeter took the time to thoroughly explain the menu and help us make great choices for our shared meal. The sausage (link) was wonderfully spicy (my fav), but all the meats and sides had great taste. Can't wait to go back! read more

Hell yeah. This place hit the spot. BBQ was fantastic, host was warm, charming and genuine. Ambiance was simple and clean but comfortable. The patio looks perfect for warm evenings. We chose the Sampler, $27 for two people (or maybe 3?) is a good deal- 4 meats, 4 sides, bread and pickles and sauces (the BBQ sauce is darned good- and I'm from S. MS), including 2 drinks (sweet tea!!). We will be back. read more

Food was decent am highly disappointed on how customers service treated there customers seem like everytime. Someone would come in and the cashier would be upset or annoyed and rude to customers tell them can move to dining area instead of being polite and asking to kindly move to the dining area unfortunately the owner wasn't here but he always welcoming hopefully he can train his employees to have better customers service read more
