The chicken tacos are sooo good! They are filling, flavorful, and moist. There are also several cabinets full of homemade Mexican fresh-baked pastries. I've tried a few, and while they're not personally my favorite, I do know that they're very popular. The service is very friendly, especially if you want help picking out any pastries. They'll explain to you what each one is and make recommendations. And even though this place is tiny, it seems to be perfect for the amount of in and out traffic they have. There are only 2 tables inside, we've always had a place to sit. Highly, highly recommend;

It was crazy standing in a long queue for placing order and in another to pick your order. Later, I picked up my order, a veggie burrito with chips and salsa. The burrito was made of corn tortilla rather than flour tortilla which i liked. It was stuffed with rice, bean, sweet potato and served with spicy salsa and sour cream. The chips were light and crispy and served with spicy salsa. I really liked the salsa. The wait was long but the food was good which covered up for all the pain my feet had to endure.

She had absolutely no issue with it but when I went up to place my order and give them money they told me they wouldn't help me and turned around. The nice thing The Moose Truck has going for it that no other business has: The Moose Truck must have entirely TOO MUCH money. So much money that they don't need to be helpful to new customers. So much money that I heard their accountant told them that if they didn't start turning down money from customers they might have to close the doors for good.

Order: Mixed plate for lunch (about 20 minutes). Comes with two charbroiled chicken pieces, half order of grilled steak, rice, tortillas, grilled peppers and onions, salsas, and a cup of charro beans. Chicken: Juicy, smoky, seasoned so well it could compete with tandoori chicken--rare to find that level of flavor. Steak: Tender, flavorful, nicely grilled. Charro beans: Soupy, shockingly good, and well seasoned. Rice: Basic, plain, no real seasoning. Warm tortillas are a nice plus. Peppers & onions: Good flavor, but could be cut thinner and grilled longer. Lime: Small but perfect touch to brighten the meat and beans--attention to detail you rarely see in a food truck. Wish list: Bigger salsa cups without the extra charge, julienned peppers and onions, grilled longer for more flavor and easier eating. The vibe: This is a hidden gem--when Hispanic families and construction crews are making the trip just for this truck, you know it's solid. Gas station itself isn't busy, but the food truck draws a steady lunch crowd. A couple of benches outside, some eat in their cars, lots of carryout. Bottom line: Flavorful meats, generous portions, and thoughtful touches make this a standout. Easily one of the best food truck finds in KC.

Chips and queso were pretty good. I like that they lightly seasoned the chips. I was expecting the pork and chicken to have a big punch of flavor but it was really lacking. I liked the flour tortilla shells that were used but it would have been better if they had warmed the tortillas first. They do provide a generous serving of meat, but I would have liked more toppings on the tacos. Service was ok. They were able to move through the orders fairly quickly. If anyone is a germaphobe, I wouldn't recommend eating here. I saw he used the same gloves to grab your order card, stick it up near the window, prepare the chips and grab the tortillas. It wasn't that big of a deal but just a heads up if something like that were to bother you.

I just didn't want alcohol because I went in with a headache & it would have made it worse. Red Crow's ambiance was great, though. It's cute & quirky and very relaxed. The old bowls were large and wide, with plenty of room for all of the ingredients. The new bowl is so small and deep that it honestly felt like I was eating my meal out of a cup. It wasn't satisfying at all. Everything was crammed together and mixed up, and it actually changed the entire taste and experience of the meal. Part of what made these bowls so good was being able to taste the different ingredients and combine them how you wanted. In this container, everything just became one big mixture. I could barely even find the shrimp I paid extra for. I also ordered extra rice, and there is absolutely no way what I received felt like an extra portion. I normally cannot come close to finishing one of these bowls in one sitting. I can eat quite a bit and you can barely tell I've touched it. Today, I ate the entire thing in one sitting, which says a lot about how much the portion has changed. I understand restaurants sometimes have to make changes, but serving the same meal in a significantly smaller container while customers are still paying the same price--and paying additional charges for extras--is incredibly disappointing. I have pictures of my previous bowls compared with the one I received today, and the difference is obvious. I really hope Tiki Taco reconsiders this change. I used to look forward to these bowls, but eating out of what feels like a cup is just not the same meal or experience. For the price, this was extremely disappointing and definitely not what I've come to expect from Tiki Taco.

- A Hidden Gem for True Taco Lovers -…read more (Maria makes tamales on Thursdays - must reach out directly for preorders) I had the absolute pleasure of stumbling upon El Taco Riendo and meeting the warmest, most welcoming family -- Jasmine, Maria, and their kind crew. From the moment I walked up to their bright and inviting food truck (parked conveniently in the Kohl's parking lot), I could tell this was going to be something special. Let's start with the food -- these are hands down some of the freshest tacos I've ever had. The tortillas? Nemo's fresh and made daily, soft yet perfectly sturdy to hold generous portions of meat and toppings. The meat? Juicy, seasoned to perfection, and cooked with the kind of care you can only get from people who truly love what they do. And the salsa -- oh, the salsa! Vibrant, layered in flavor, with just the right amount of heat. You can taste the passion and tradition in every bite. One thing that stood out to me was how clean and organized their truck was. As someone who eats at a lot of food trucks, I really notice when a place takes pride not only in their food but also in their space -- and El Taco Riendo sets the bar high. Everything from the prep area to the condiments station looked spotless, and that just adds to the confidence you feel ordering here. It's not just about the food though -- it's the experience. Jasmine and Maria greet you like old friends, remembering faces and making every customer feel valued. Their hospitality feels effortless, and that's rare in a world where so many places rush you through the process. If you want to support a small, local business that's serving up authentic flavors with heart, El Taco Riendo is it. You're not just getting tacos -- you're getting a little taste of their family's love and pride on a plate.
