First and foremost, I want to say that they sold me a product I needed that worked. Also, the staff was very nice and extremely helpful. One thing really rubbed me the wrong way though... The Auto Draw Oil Vaporizer I purchased from them, I found online. They sold it to me for $37.00. I found it on the site vapornation.com for $14.99 (Same brand: "Green World") I know we live in a world of supply and demand/convenience and I'm aware that I could have done the research myself before making the purchase... but jeez... That's quite the price gouge. The staff's friendliness gave me a false sense of security - because before finding the product for 50% cheaper online, I would have never imagined they overcharge that much. In summation: PLEASE compare prices elsewhere before buying anything from here. But with that said, the staff is nice and they have a good selection read more

Great online service! Phenomenal communication. Quick turnaround and shipping. Awesome deals. I'll definitely be buying through Smoke ATX again! read more

This place is awesome! Their team is very knowledgeable about their products & always very friendly. I especially like that it's also very clean. Most smoke shops I want to get in & get out as fast as possible because of the overwhelming stringent smell. Smoke ATX prides themselves on running a clean shop & therefore allows you the time to browse without feeling like you need to make an impulse buy or run out without what you even came for. read more

The employees are extremely helpful, great merchandise and competitive prices. It's the place I go for electronic cigarettes and much more!

Dropped by my first night in Austin after realizing my inadequate packing had led to a broken bowl, and came on Yelp to find the best smoke shop close to me. I wasn't disappointed. The shop doesn't have an absolutely enormous amount of glass, but it's also not lacking in any respect. There is a nice display for all the heady glass which, and it's always fun to see what your local artists are pumping out when they aren't making $20 spoon pipes. I'm adamant about buying only local glass, and had more than enough selection in that respect; I was tempted to pick up a new bubbler as well. Where they really excel though is customer service. Employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. I came in 30 minutes before close, and ended up staying well after not because they were slow, but strictly out of conversation, and no one seemed even the slightest bit annoyed by it. I ended up leaving with a new vaporizer and bowl, and they made sure to hook it up and make sure I got as many discounts as possible (saved me quite a bit tbh). Bonus points for the fact that the vape stuff they sell isn't straight crap like most head shops that carry ecigs. read more

BEST SMOKE SHOP IN AUSTIN, PERIOD. Run by super cool and very helpful/knowledbeable dudes. Lots and LOTS of unique local glass and other art. Also the first shop in Austin to let me swap out an unused attachment when I bought the wrong size. Saved my birthday haha! I recommend this place to any and all :) read more

New to town and looking for a shop my husband and I stumbled across these guys and we are SO glad we did! Awesome service, we were there for a while just having a great convo with the salesman! We have for sure found our place in town! Check them out if you're in need! read more

Biggie is very helpful and knowledgable about the products. A great shop with a huge variety. Open later than most shops also.

This place is super cool!! They are really helpful and friendly!! I don't want to go anywhere else but here :)

I just moved into an apartment complex near Smoke ATX & stopped in for what I thought would be a quick visit to snag a vape battery. Didn't have any expectations, but MAN was I pleasantly surprised. I was immediately greeted by the store manager, T.J., when I walked in & asked if I needed assistance. He was genuinely friendly, ready to help, & did not try to upsell me (even though it was apparent I knew very little about what I was seeking). Took me straight to what I was looking for, dropped some knowledge on similar products, & made it apparent that these cats actually care about the services they provide, the products they carry, & most of all, the customer experience. Did I mention they have a HUGE selection of literally everything? So much so that multiple trips back will be necessary to fully appreciate their full stock. Fairly priced too. So glad I swung through - Smoke ATX is my new #1 spot! read more

If you're serious about glass this is a great place to check out. Extremely knowledgable about what they sell and a wide selection. Ill be coming back. read more

Awesome Place. Experts in every field. They can assist in everything from Hookah, to glass, to cigarette paper. I live in Pflugerville and find an excuse to come see Joe and his staff. They are very helpful. read more

Absolutely a distasteful "Glass Piece" place I've ever been to. I purchased a piece Sunday (Ti Ten Shower 7mm), broke the down-stem on Monday(my iPhone fell on the piece and the stem broke. when i went back in they said when my phone fell on it, it caused glass vibrations, causing it to break), went back to get a new stem (sadly) on the same day i broke it. Shelled out another 15$ or so on a replacement stem, only to have it not pulling well when using it. So today (2 days after purchasing a new stem) i go back in there for "a working replacement" only to have it dragged out to the point of frustration and sheer anger over something THEY ("SMOKE ATX") sold me incorrectly to start with. On immediate interaction, and explaining the situation to them, they tried to instantly say "the stem IS a little off, but you'd just need to pack your bowl smaller or purchase a smaller bowl"......UNACCEPTABLE!! I also want to make something clear..... This is literally my first and only negative review ever given on yelp due to the lack of honest human care, sympathy, and at a basic level, understanding for my situation. I am fully aware on their specific policy and other similar ones on products such as these, but if a customer comes in and says YOU sold them an attachment that doesn't work as well as the original they purchased.... you shouldn't make it your mission as the business to try and immediately sell them something else or tell them (directly or otherwise) that they are SOL. Since we are all working American, consumers in this country, its safe to say that ANYTHING, ANYONE decides to buy in a business and they find out it doesn't work correctly (on no fault of their own) they are going to be upset and frustrated. Not taking the time out to respect and under each customer in a situation that could be unique in nature is the reason i will never spend another dollar at this smoke shop. Please learn traditional Business to Client relations Smoke ATX. Due to you making a simple situation of a 15$ item that YOU ALL confirmed wasn't pulling correctly, into one were i had to raise my voice in a public setting. You lost a customer for a 15$ product when you sell majority of things 100+. And also, if they end all be all issue was due to its legality, id love to see you guys demonstrate the "Ti Ten shower 7mm" to your customers with a shitty down-stem in it. read more

Best GLASS shop in town, I emphasize glass because it seems like most places in town are half sex shop, not here. They have everything you could want from the most basic pipes to legitimate high end art pieces, and any accessory you want. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, they have stores in both sides of the river so there's no reason to go back to the sex shops with standoffish employees that also sell glass. read more

The staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Great place to visit, or pick up all the best products for your smoking needs and desires!! read more

Place is great for us locals. Most of their pieces are blown locally and the prices are reasonable. Crew is very friendly and knowledgable. Support Austin artists! read more

We (my gf and I) were thoroughly impressed by this place. It's a small smoke shop that packs a big punch! We'd thought we were just about through on our pipe search when we stumbled upon this shop on our way back home. The fragrances upon entering were pleasant and the dim-lit wood-paneled walls fit the scene just right. The staff was friendly right from the start and they made us feel welcomed. We're big into buying local to help the Austin economy and their glass-blowers and small-business owners, so it was great that they had all of their pieces labeled by artist. It's also very cool that they carry tattoo ink and accessories. Overall, these guys take the cake in service, products, and atmosphere. I will patronize this place more often since my first experience was stellar and I will recommend it to others as well! Congratulations Smoke ATX on earning 2 more loyal customers! read more

Very clean and professional but still laid back. Good selection of pieces. Also bought tattoo ink and an associate knew a lot about the products. I'll be back. read more

Having been a customer of the shop since day one its been amazing to see what y'all have become. Glass selection is top notch, with everything from the cream of the crop scientific to the headiest of headies. It is possible to walk in everyday and see something brand new, and the staff is extremely knowledgable on anything and everything glass and counter culture related, and they always have an option for any budget. Thanks for being phenomenal at what ya do yall. Cheers from colorowdy, can't wait to stop in and see the new goods over christmas break. P.S. they keep their facebook and instagram constantly up to date with all their new products if you don't have time to stop in the store. Keep on keepin on yall read more

Amazing staff. Very knowledgeable and explain in detail what you need to know. First time going and will only go to this smoke shop from now on. Great experience. read more

This is my local shop, I've been a customer for years. I've bought the Pax and Pax2, there - both for the same price advertised on the Ploom website. Meanwhile, a store up the street (that still hasn't taken down their "Ron Paul 2012" sign) is charging $70 more for the Pax 2!!!! WTF? The staff is great, friendly, knowledgeable without being snobby, and they have a great selection of glass and vapes. As far as the S. Lamar corridor goes - Smoke ATX is king! Can't say about the rest of town... never needed to go anywhere else! read more

Newbie to vaping and was in area so I decided to try out a new shop. Glad I did. Brian was awesome, really great guy, super knowledgeable, even helped me assemble my new sub tank when I botched it in the car. Shop looks great, prices lower than my vape only shop even. Definitely check this place out. Glad I did, now my new go to shop. Thanks again Brian. read more

Smoke ATX is now the ONLY shop for all my vaping needs. No one I've visited has been as friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Kangertech OCC .5 coils are hard to come by it seems and you've continually had them in stock. Joe, you got me first upgraded months ago out of a failing aspire with the imotion3 (which i still have as a backup and loaner) and now Ellen got me into the wicked awesome and better cool fire iv from an eleaf istick i had just lost which cost the same. I couldnt be happier with this most recent upgrade. Every time I walk in I feel welcome and walk out feeling like I know a little more and like my business was not only wanted, but appreciated. Thanks y'all! The feeling is mutual. Be back soon for more juice, coils and upgrades (or replacements, as it were! haha). read more

First, I made an account just to post a review here. I love this place. The staff is so wonderful. I've bought way too much shisha from them and they always help me try new flavours. There was only one guy who worked there I wasn't crazy about, as I was talking about something after purchasing and he told me to leave already. I believe he was joking but still a tight rope to walk when speaking with customers as it can be taken wrong. However I haven't seen him since and the rest of the staff has always been so beautiful. Thank you guys. read more

High end smoke shop I always check out when I visit Austin. Got some of the best glass in the city hands down.

Went in there looking to buy a hookah and had a few questions that I wanted to ask. I received some of the best customer service I've ever had. The associate that worked there took his time with explaining everything and gave some really advice on which products I should get. I would recommend this Smoke ATX to any of my friends. read more

I had an awesome experience! The guy who helped me asked me what I was looking moments after I entered and when I gave him a basic idea of what I wanted he gave me so much helpful information along the way. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff and a good selection gets 5 stars from me! read more

After being recommended a vape shop I used for a while, I began to feel like there had to be a better shop in the ATX, so by sheer luck, I stopped at Smoke ATX and was given the best customer service, and along with excellent prices on my favorite ejuice, that every vape shop should stock, not only because it's produced locally, but because their support of local artists and charities that needed supported, that brand being Hometown Hero. In any case this smoke/vape shop is HANDS DOWN the best in town. Don't waist your time with others, these guys are a guarantee, best prices, best customer service, excellent selection. This also includes smoking devices, Kratom (BEST price for most quality Kratom) etc. I'm a happy and loyal customer. read more

I walk in the door and was not greeted- I asked if someone could help me and they guy replied back with a attitude. " in a minute someone can" I felt very un welcomed- when i went to purchase my detox I found that it was 6 dollars more than south oats!!' Save you time and money and go to south oats! Lesson learned I will never step my foot back into atx smoke! I wouldn't have purchased it if I had time on my side - I hate feeling robbed for no reason! read more

I really dig Smoke ATX. I live on the North East side, walking distance from another shop and I still make the trek out here. Even when they are busy, customer service is tops. The bearded dude is awesome (Big D, I think?) but so is everyone else I've dealt with there. They are the only place in Austin that I know of that carries Fumari brand hookah tobacco. They have a huge pipe selection from local blowers, and good local blowers at that. Not some basic, over priced, generic spoon pipes. Real works of art, for sure. I walked out of there with a full hookah set up for under $80, though it was 20% off everything for April 20th. 5/5 Would Bang. read more

So I don't normally write reviews but I felt that in this case it was just necessary. I have been in here about 5 times now. I'm pretty new to this stuff so needless to say I was pretty clueless as to what I was wanting. Every time I went in a man that goes by Biggie was working and just always happened to be available to help me. Biggie really took the time to explain everything to me. He explained good and bad about everything and literally new everything there was to know that I would look at and say, "that's cool what is that?" I highly recommend this place they are guaranteed to have what you need/want and the prices are very fair. Not to mention customer service seemed to be great with everyone although so far my only experience has been with Biggie which like I said before he is an absolutely awesome dude! read more

I came to this smoke shop on 5-28-16, to get some shisha for my hookah. Due to the fact I herd that had a quite a good selection of Fumari. Well let me tell you that my source did not lead me astray. They had a wide selection of Fumari from double apple to ambrosia (which I pick up). They also had Starbuzz and Al Fakher. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their products, and help with how to start and set up hookah. I didn't need any help but a group of friend came in who came in right after me didn't know what to do and the staff where more then happy to help them out. Now time for my only complaint. So I got a 100g bag of Fumari Ambrosia which was clearly labeled "Fumari 14.95". Which is more then I would have paid online, but hay Support local shops. So the guy rings me up and it rings up 14.99 when I pointed this out to the guy he argued with me for like a 1 minutes. Until I pointed out the sign that clearly stated "Fumari $14.95" which he then looked and then said oh okay will ill give you 5 cents i was like I don't care about the 5 cents. I just don't like feeling like I'm being cheated. read more

Went to grab a highly educated carb cap. Guy says they are out but have a cheap alternative so I go ahead and buy it cash, and I get no receipt. 5 min later I'm driving by womp smoke shop and decided to check to see if they had the he carb cap. Turns out they do so I head back to atx and ofcourse they won't take it back unused. 10 min after I bought it. It's not a biggy to have 2 but I don't feel like I will ever do any business here again. I can understand not taking it back after its used or after a day or something but this was not the case. Hey atx if you want to take back this knock off I won't use it and I'll change my review and you can have my business again. read more

I love to smoke and I'm really into hookah. Smoke ATX has a great selection. I prefer Starbuzz brand shisha and this is absolutely the best place in town. They have the best prices and a good selection. They are also the only ones that carry the 3 kings brand of coals, regular size (rather than only small like the gas pipe and planet k). Helpful/friendly staff too. read more
