I went to this shop since my Mom and brother seemed to have a good experience and I have a 1991 Nissan Sentra. He told me my numbers were good but my timing was 10 degrees off and he had to fail me and couldnt repair it because he was a smog only shop. so he sent me to a repair shop to get my timing adjusted and he could re-smog my car. So long story short. He charged me 41.25. I paid 50 to have my timing adjusted which the guy told me to take some timing paper update on the correct timing marks? So I brought it back and I was charged another 41.25 plus the certificate 8.75. Told me he knew it would pass the second time. I will never do business with this shop again. read more

This smog facility or at least their technician is a joke. Yes, after calling, they said right away to bring my 2001 Toyota Tacoma pick up right in. Now this truck has never not passed smog and I specifically asked Fernando who is the smog technician if I need to do anything special before the test I told him it was up to operating temperature he said no, it should be fine. He then proceeded to conduct the test and come back and tell me that it failed and try to charge me $31. The reason for the fail is that the catalyst was not ready everything else passed except for the catalyst was not ready it had not been driven long enough to do the onboard emissions test. I called around to find a place that could get me in today and this was the only place that answered their phone. Super nice guys said they could get me in. It took less than 15 minutes and was only $40 for my smog check!!! I'm super happy with the service and price. Would absolutely recommend!!! read more

First, I showed up at 1:00 pm and a handwritten sign on the door said out to lunch, return at 1:30. I returned at 1:30 and waited 15 minutes but nobody showed. Call before you go. I returned and was treated in a very brusque and cold manner, very businesslike but not friendly. I had failed a test for visible smoke before but had addressed the issue. He said there was a second mechanical issue in addition to the first and failed the car. He spent a long time gunning the engine to see smoke. I asked what I could do to fix it and he pushed a business card of a nearby mechanic across the counter. I went back to the original shop later and a big red screen popped up saying this vehicle had failed. I told the mechanic I had taken it to Smogs 4 Less and he just said "Oh" and nodded his head. The car passed at the other shop. They tested the mechanical issue and did not find a problem. I give him two stars only because he is cheap. But the retest cost me even less. I though I would get a second opinion and it was close to work, but going here was a mistake. read more

Great! Experience. I got there with no appointment at 8:30 am on a Friday, I was greeted very nicely and it was told it would take 20 minutes. It sure did. They even have a modest but functional waiting area. They free have Comcast internet if you are a Comcast subscriber. I was incredulous when they only charged me 20 bucks or so for the test on my beloved Diesel X5. It was quiet enough I was able to do work on my Mac in the waiting chairs. Great experience I was greeted very nicely. Good work to the staff and yes I don't give 5 stars unless the place I visit is a disruptor in the market they serve and an innovator. For now feel free to bring your family etc safe area. All good. I will definitely do business there but knowing me I can't keep a car that long since I just trade them in..bad habit I know but that's another yelp review when I wonder to the dealership..stay tuned.. read more

Have been going to Rafael at SMOG 4 LESS for quite a few years. He's always nice and pleasant. Handles cars, people, phone ie multi-tasking, quite well. Only one time we were held back with an appointment, when the vehicle ahead of us was having trouble passing Smog. That customer was respectful yet obviously concerned since vehicle was fairly new, so, he of course had questions. Rafael remained businesslike and understanding, explaining some known probable cause. One thing we've learned is if you make two or more appointments in a day, allow a couple hours between. Rafael's other location was a bit larger, more outside room to maneuver, especially when we take in our 26' RV. It was exceptionally clean in work area, the desk area and waiting room. His new location seems smaller, and darker and very tight area for driving large vehicles. We had a specific appointment time, and waited 30 minutes. Once our vehicle was in, he had it completed in a short time, apologizing for delay. It might behoove him to hire front office person. Dealing with money, the State, the required forms, phones, a veteran or retired person would be a great investment for all. Rating 4 stars for lack of front office help. Plus, Rafael needs improvement in customer service communication. We have no problem passing along his business cards. Price is right, too! read more

12/28/15 I drove in at 8:00 a.m. for a smog test and I was driving out by 8:17 a.m. (passed). It was the fastest smog test I had ever had. I drove home and grabbed my other vehicle and drove back. By 8:45 a.m. I drove home with both of my vehicles smoged. Rafael was great with his friendly, fast, efficient, no-nonsense, get 'er done attitude.
