Highly recommend! Requested an appointment. Appreciate the prompt response. Walked in and was processed efficiently by Ziggie Maxwell who also took care of our car. Met owner, Godfrey, who is kind & helpful especially made sure we were comfortable & explained how to get a Toyota recall fixed and the importance of getting this corrected & done. Thank you Godfrey & Ziggie for a pleasant wonderful, Smog Test experience. Started to recommend your business to family & friends including this review. Keep up the great work! Quick easy smog visit with great pricing! I was in and out within an hour. Def recommend.

I just took my car to Smog Zone today for its bi-annual smog check. This place is great! Everybody was very friendly, the waiting room was nice and clean, and within about 15 minutes of my arrival (with no appointment) the smog check was completed and I was out the door. I highly recommend these folks! read more

An absolutely great experience. This is a very small shop, they are right next-door to the Chevron/Baskin-Robbins on Folsom Boulevard, just west of Mather Field Road. I had a Groupon, and I showed up on a Friday about an hour before closing. As I mentioned, it is a small shop, so they can only do one car at a time. There were like three or four people waiting, so I said I would just come back first thing in the morning. I came back at opening time, and got right in. I was helped by Godfrey. Very professional, very personable, very friendly. We chatted a bit as he was doing the paperwork. My car goes in for the smog check, and unfortunately, it didn't pass. I had just changed the battery yesterday, and that had basically "rebooted" the Car's computer. He said I needed to drive the car about 50 miles or so, to bring the computer back to where it needed to be, so that it would pass the test. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines to look at all of the pretty brand, new snow, and then brought the car back. This time, it passed with flying colors. We finished the paperwork and I was out the door. This was a very good shop, everybody was professional, and friendly, I would come here for a smog check again. Thank you. read more

This is the best SMOG shop experience I can remember having. The shop is clean, the waiting room is clean, the service is quick and efficient and the value is great. I was able to walk-in and be done and back on the road in under 40 minutes with a car ahead of me. I will be back! read more

Drove in, asked to come inside. Within 10 minutes my smog was done. They honored the coupon that I presented. The guy at the front desk didn't feel welcoming though! No smile!. But I'm not taking out stars for that, want to give them another try and I'll come back to update the review. read more

WOW, the new owner, Godfrey, is amazing! I've never enjoyed the experience of getting my car smogged until now. The moment I walked in the door, he greeted me with a warm smile. There was a small glitch in the test, and Godfrey spoke with the technician and showed genuine care about providing excellent service. This is the only SMOG shop I'm using from now on, and I'm telling people too. Pass it on! read more

Don't go anywhere else. This is your smog shop The owner helped me figure out the failing issues with my 20yr old car. Like having to go through a specific drive cycle the BMW requires so the sensors can get the data they need. Ended up being a stuck thermostat. After had it replaced it passed smog no problem. The owner helped me figure things out. Honest and genuinely wants to provide a great service to his customers. read more

*:*¨¨*:*..*:* ABSOLUTELY 5 STARS*:*..*:*¨¨*:*. This shop is conveniently located at the far right side of a multi-business center, right next to a gas station. Parking is in the back. My check-in at the counter was quick and efficient, and my smog test took about 35 minutes because a couple of other customers were already in the lobby ahead of me. Upon checking out, I had the pleasure of meeting Godfrey, the owner, who was exceptionally helpful and personable. He made the transaction easier by accepting my multiple payment methods. I genuinely enjoyed a conversation with him, when I mentioned I was looking for work, Godfrey shared valuable career advice and took a real interest in my background, even offering helpful pointers since we had similar college degrees (he holds a master's). I left feeling truly appreciated as a customer and will absolutely return here for all my future service needs. read more

Great service, quick service. Would go back 1 million times over. Went there for a Smog. They did a pre check and I was still in and out

This location is under new management as of June 2025 and the new owner is very personable, professional and understands good customer service! Their pricing is fair and lobby is clean. Their location is a bit hard to find, but it's directly next to Chevron once you enter the lot! I'd definitely use these guys anytime you need a SMOG test done! read more

very professional and nice. Very cheap using the coupon on their Website. It was fast and easy. Highly recommend.

Is it possible to have an AMAZING smog experience - turns out, YES!!! I wish it was possible to give 110 stars. Phenomenal customer service, the gentlemen at the register was so polite, helpful & I enjoyed my conversation with him. The mechanic who I spoke with (shortly) was also very polite, something under the hood was disconnected & he asked my permission to re-attach it. On top of wonderful customer service (pricing on the low end of smog's as well), I skipped coffee this morning, regretted it and hallelujah - they had decaf for the keurig in the lobby! 110 stars - thank you so much! read more

Was turned away from another business because they weren't star certified, this was one of the closest places. With no appointment the whole thing probably took fifteen minutes. The man at the front desk was so nice and professional. They had a coupon, so it was very reasonably priced. The technician pulled the car around for me when he was done. Would highly recommend! read more

After new management and owner. I gave it a second tried. He kept his words by giving me a discount after I left a bad review the first time with old management. Udo is friendly, patient, and willing to listen to your story. He also have refreshment drinks and coffee while waiting for your vehicle to get smog. The shop is clean and fast in and out. He also has a tech that works for him. I recommend anyone to give him a try after he took over the smog shop. Thank you! read more
