I first wrote them on Yelp to get pricing. The company told me it will cost 45.00 fir my 2106 civic. I arrived and there was one truck in front of me. It took longer because he was having problems. The attendant was very nice. He apologized for the wait...honored the price they quoted me. I was out in less than 15 minutes. Passed...given paperwork and receipt. If you want a quick smog with kind staff...go here. They are located on Greenback right behind the Dairy Queen in the corner. read more

Let me just say this... When you think "smog shop," you usually don't think, "Wow... what a refreshing experience." You think old chairs, mystery smells, questionable coffee, and the faint sound of someone arguing over a check engine light. Not here. I pulled up to Greenback Smog and immediately thought, "Okay wait... this place is actually clean clean." Like... not "car shop clean." I mean genuinely organized, refreshing, and welcoming. I was almost suspicious. I'm like hold on... am I getting a smog or checking into a boutique mechanic spa? From the jump, the gentleman working the front was outstanding. And when I say working the front, I mean working EVERYTHING. This man was basically the quarterback, offensive coordinator, and entire coaching staff all in one. He was cashing people out, pulling the next customer up, keeping track of the line, answering questions, giving updates, and somehow still moving with the precision of a surgeon on a double espresso. Boom. Next car. Boom. Payment. Boom. Helpful tip. Boom. Back to work. No wasted movement. No chaos. No attitude. Just pure efficiency and great customer service. While my truck was getting smogged, he was also dropping little gems and giving me helpful tips along the way, which I genuinely appreciated. That's the kind of stuff that sticks with people. He wasn't just trying to rush me through--he actually cared enough to be helpful. And here's the part that really stood out to me... People were still showing up after closing. Now most places hit you with that "sorry, we're closed" look before you even get out of your car. Not here. He let them know there'd be a wait, but he was still willing to help and get to them. That's real hospitality. That's somebody who takes pride in what they do and understands people are just trying to handle life stuff without making it harder than it needs to be. In a world where customer service sometimes feels like it's hanging on by a thread, Greenback Smog was a refreshing reminder that good people still run good businesses. If you need to get your car or truck smogged, this is absolutely a spot worth checking out. Fast. Clean. Friendly. Efficient. And somehow... dare I say... enjoyable? Never thought I'd be saying that about a smog check, but here we are. read more

I came upon this place by accident! The DMV did not send a renewal notice and I paid my registration online. This was my first time doing a renewal as I purchased the car from my brother in-law after my sister died. For whatever reason, the DMV did not provide a notice. I went to two other places before coming to Greenback Smog. My previous shop had relocated and when I showed up, I found out the previous owner had sold the business and the new owner could not do the STAR smog. He suggested two other locations, so on my third stop I was at Greenback Smog. There was a car wash there and I drove around the building to the front again and saw that one of the areas was for smog checks. I went in, sat down and watched the World Cup while my car was smogged. I found out that I didn't need the paperwork to do the smog and that the technician could look up my car and do the smog and send it to the DMV! Service was quick and painless. I will be back in a few years! read more

Be careful. These people will tell you something may be wrong, charge you for the repair, then recharge you for a recheck. Scam. My wife brough our truck in for a smog check. They said it needs this and that. She wanted to take a video of what he said was wrong, then he slammed the hood nearly on her hands. She called me, I told her to leave right away, don't give them any money. We took the truck to a reputable smog station. No problem passing. we pointed out the hoses that Greenback Smog said was bad, there was nothing wrong. It was a scam. Beware of Greenback Smog. read more
