Pretty straight forward: fill out the form, pay the fee, wait to have your car smogged. Clearly a small business and I appreciated the attentiveness. I needed a smog check quickly so I could register my vehicle and I called this place and they were able to fit me in pretty quickly. If I could give a lower star I would they rip me off. my car passed smog then the guy told me to replace lines that were in perfect shape and told me to come back and pay them another 10.00 to retest... no free retest and definitely didn't know what he was talking about. read more

Went there with RV to get smog tested as I did 2 years ago. However the associate said "Nope can't do it cause smog machines were down. I asked when? He said probably not for a while. As I sat in parking lot I witnessed him doing 2 vehicles. Why? Not a trust worthy business read more

I took my car in and it didn't pass, but the technician told me exactly what needed to get fixed and gave me photos showing the trouble spots. There's a few hoses that need to be replaced, which is understandable since the car's mileage is over 300K. Anyway, they were fast and friendly, and a newer car I needed to get smogged passed just fine. read more

My daughter and I have been using this smog shop since 2014. Always pleased with the price and service. Now fast forward till today 7/11/23 I returned after a smog on Saturday 7/8/23. My car failed smog due to emission systems needed to reset after a dead battery. Normal issue after a dead battery. So I was told by the very nice lady in the office that I could retest for free. I returned today 7/11/23 and she wanted to charge me 39.99 after already charging me 59.99. Now I never questioned her prices due to my trust that she was honest and fair. Took her at he word, yet now I find out she wanted to recharge me and supposedly give me a discount. I am not telling you not to go there but watch what she charges before going through with the smog Also ask for a free retest and find out she will charge you again. I will not recommend or return to this facility. Best of luck to you all read more

Sevice was fast, but guy was super rude. Had an elderly lady before us and was ride to her as well. I figured she was rude or thought this was a mechanic, he was telling her to go to a mechanic. Guess he is the rude one. Walked away from my husband mid convo saying you know what I don't want to do any business with you. We have a couple cars and asked if he would give us a discount to bring all of them to him since the one we normally go to is farther away. He said he would charge $90!!! My husband asked 90 what are you going to do to it? And that's when he walked away. How do you go from $49 what we were charge to $90? Definitely not returning. read more

In and out in under 20 minutes on a Saturday. Pricing seemed very fair with no coupon necessary. STAR smog cost $48 and a regular smog would have been $38. Small family owned business. Lady working the cash register was very nice. Would definitely go back and recommend. read more

They gave me a hard time because my vehicle was a 1995. Price went up to 79.00 plus 25.00 for certificate. They tried to talk me out of getting a smog then it turned into a cash only purchase. I left and will take all my future business elsewhere. read more

This place is awesome. I called ahead. No appointment needed. I paid and waited about 10 minutes and they were done and sent the smog certificate to DMV. I went to AAA to pay for registration and get my sticker. Everything worked. I will definitely be back when I need to get may vehicle done again. Highly recommend this business. read more

Business is scheduled to open at 9AM. Person showed up after 9:15AM. Walked up to my window without a mask. I mentioned that he didn't have a mask on and his reply was: "My mask is in my pocket, Sir." As I drove off, I told him I would give him a review online. Brought my vehicle here yesterday and had a very nice experience. First the front office was very clean (especially compared to other smog centers I have been to), and their staff was very kind. The service was really fast and the technician wore gloves and a mask to ensure to keep my vehicle clean. I will be back again. read more

The couple that own this place greeted me with big smiles and were so kind. The wife chatted with me while I waited. Was in and out in no time. If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!

So, I ended up purchasing 3 new tires along with the alignment. But from start to finish it took less than an hour. I went in there today to get my Lexus Smogged. Worst customer service I've experienced at an automotive business ever. There was a new guy in the office, I'm not sure if he is the new owner or a new employee, but very rude guy. He tells me my car will take 15 min to get done. I said oh not bad sounds good. My car took 45 MINUTES. That was not too bad either, but then he try's to tell me that the motor in my car is not original... like wt does that even mean... So I asked him why do you say that, he tells me that the hoses on the engine are not all black, there is a different color hose on here so that's why the motor is not original. I asked him if the car passes the test with the computer, and he said yes but he said, he will not pass me because he doesn't know if the motor is original or not, which is obviously original, but he would know that if he knew wt he was talking about. The guy doesn't know wt he's talking about, rude, and doesn't have any customer service. Will never be going back here ever again in my life. And I would recommend the same for you unless you like dealing with uneducated rude technicians that don't have a clue about wt they are doing under the hood. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting AA Smog for a smog check on my vehicle and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The staff was highly professional, knowledgeable and genuinely courteous. The premises were clean and comfortable, making the waiting period much more pleasant than I initially anticipated. Their service was incredibly efficient. I was in and out in no time, yet they took the time to answer all my questions and explain the process, which I greatly appreciated. Their attention to detail was remarkable and it was clear they took their job seriously. I was also impressed by their fair pricing. It's refreshing to see a business that provides such excellent service without overcharging their customers. This certainly sets AA Smog apart from other businesses in the same industry. I came in today for my car smog and I'm so glad I found this Shop. The smog was fast it took only 15 minutes, the service is great, nice waiting area with comfortable seats with TV and a reasonable price. I highly recommend them. read more
