Quick and efficient! Had my smog done in 10-15 minutes and sent it over to dmv. Thank you so much for the waiting area with a/c lol

Would have given them 5 stars, but I took 1 star off for having limited parking spaces

I've been coming to VIP smog for years now. It is a very efficient and quick service. I've never had any issues and haven't had to wait too long. I would recommend coming early as the parking area gets packed quickly with all the other businesses around it. You don't have to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome. Very professional. read more

Fast friendly service. Been here before and will be back again when I need to. Price is fair.

Very quick! Very clean!! Always a class act! Vitaly is awesome and I've taken all My vehicles here since I first started going. read more

Great and reliable service. Always super fast and great customer service. 100% recommend. You do not need an appointment and can do a walk in. You can smog and pay for registration here. The owner is super nice and even helps me put my registration sticker on every time. They also have a nice air conditioned waiting room area with a tv where you can hang out while they get the job done. Great way to support a local business and a local family too. read more

Website states: "VIP SMOG is a STAR Smog Check Station". They are NOT. Their Star certification expired. I made a special trip there because I need a Star location. They are not close to me. I did not appreciate the wasted time. I had to go home and do a computer search for a new facility. I also wasted time printing out their coupon. read more

VIP Smog is the best! I've had a great experience every time I've been. Today he was able to get my truck smogged very quickly... in and out in under 15 minutes! read more

My car registration renewal was up and required I get a smog check this time around so I took my car here for the first time yesterday. It was absolutely painless! Sure, I had to wait 10-15 minutes as there were two customers ahead of me but the owner works quickly and is also very friendly. He just does smog check only, no repairs as far as I know though there did appear to be an auto shop right next door. Perhaps the two businesses are related, I don't know. The place is a bit tough to spot from Jackson Road as it's in a little industrial complex surrounded by a tall fence with a very narrow gate. I drove past 2 or 3 times before realizing the place I was looking for was behind that fence. If you see the sign on the front of one of the buildings that says "Pebbles Cabinets", you're at the right place. I highly recommend it. Cost was a flat $50. read more

VIP Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

These guys are great, even though I am disappointed about the STAR certification not being completed and having to wait until January when the next recertification date is, they still do a great job with fixing vehicles. I am glad I had the good sense to call ahead to make sure they were not too busy and available for my car, they told me then that if I needed a STAR test they were not certified as of right now. They can still work on my car as promised but not to run my STAR certification afterwards. read more

This was my first time at VIP and wow, I am so happy to have found it! The owner was so friendly and kind and efficient, it felt like I had barely sat down and my car was done already. The service felt really personal, which was so nice. I also really loved the beautiful and comfortable waiting room. The many plants and the TV playing beautiful nature videos was a wonderful almost spa-like surprise. Everything was very clean and well cared for, inside the shop and out. Usually smog check places are a kind of depressing place for me to go, as they are usually not that clean, not overly friendly, and more of a necessary chore. I found out the owner has had the business for over 20 years and that means a lot to me. I'm so happy to support this local business in the future and this is a place I'm telling everyone I know about as well. Totally different and way better vibe to any other smog check place I've been! read more

Quick prompt customer service, in and out without issue. I've now taken two cars here now, and won't go anywhere else!

Hole in the wall place cheaper than others from the website. Though he quoted $10 higher, he adjusted to match the site. I was concerned when it took him forever to figure out how to print out my smog check. But all was copacetic. read more

Quick easy in and out process took about 10 min total, the owner is an awesome guy and made the process very easy. Great waiting room with AC and nice bathrooms too! Thanks again! read more

Great experience at VIP Smog...9144 Jackson Highway Sacramento.... Friendly greeting. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Small shop in a small 'industrial park' free of any pretense. Family owned business. Highly recommend. read more

Fast, friendly, and efficient. This reasonably priced registrar/smog shop is exactly what you need, and nothing you don't. They know what you're there for and they're all about it. They get you in, out, and about your business in no time flat for a lot less than the other guy. Been here a few times, reckon I'll be back many more. read more

This is the only place I'm going for SMOG's from now on! It's about a mile from my office & I rolled up and asked the owner Vitaliy for a lunch break SMOG check. He said no problem...and 10 minutes later I had my certificate in hand AND my registration & sticker for just $10 additional. Amazing service and a the owner is a really great guy. read more

Great customer service and was able to get my tags right away. My fifth time using them. Will be back again.

Decided to come to this place as its by where I live. I pulled up and was greeted right away. This is first year that my car needed to be smogged so I'm clueless to all this. The guys that helped me was very helpful. He told me to wait in the waiting room while he's finishing up with another customer. The waiting room is very run down. Too stuffy and pretty dirty but good enough to stay and wait. This whole experience took about 20 mins and $50. Not sure if that an average price or not but it gets the job done. I would come back here again next year if I still live in the area. read more

Have been coming here for years with my entire family. Never a long wait. The owner Vitaliy is very quick & professional. I'm Usually in and out in 15-20 minutes, with new stickers & registration in hand for an addition $10. Give him a call, faster than the DMV for stickers! read more

I was looking for a SMOG Test station near our home and found this one on Yelp. Arriving just before 10:00 AM, the opening time, one other customer was waiting. The gentleman in charge arrived right on time. He was most courteous and professional. We waited in a clean, comfortable waiting area which had air conditioning. I was prepared to wait most of my morning. However, the first customer was done and gone in under 15 minutes. Our car was also tested in under 15 minutes. I have already let our family members know about this shop. We will come back to VIP Smog, 9144 Jackson Road, Sacramento, whenever we need a vehicle smog tested. read more

I have been getting my smog done at VIP smog for a few years already. The owner has a great costumer service and get job done quick.

I pass this place every day on my way to and from work, so I was happy to see a high Yelp rating and to know I could pay my overdue registration with them. The first day I got there at 5:11 pm. They were closed. The next time, last Saturday, I got there at little after noon. Closed again. Both times were within the business hours posted here, so I was disappointed and inconvenienced. I can't say anything about the actual services as I ended going somewhere else and getting everything taken care of. Two stars for not paying better attention to their social media presence and advertised hours. read more

Very fast and efficient. When I had an issue with my catalytic converter he told me the process in which I needed to fix the problem. He is thorough and professional. Without vip smog, I fear I may have made misinformed decisions leading to the demise of a perfectly good car. Thank you for all the great advice! read more

I did my smog here for the first time . It took him 10mins. The price not bad but I know I can get more cheaper price to other places.

The place is clean, fast, courteous and honest. I lost some 20 dollar bills three days ago and they had fallen out of my pocket near the front seat. The tech found and returned the money. Ive been going to VIP for a couple years and I don't really care if I could find some place for less. read more

They were very helpful and explained things easily. I've been here several times and have always had great service. I would recommend going here. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. Service was very quick, he was finishing up one customer then I was next. HUGE bonus: After your smog test is done you can pay your registration there as well and you get your new tags. I didnt have to go to the DMV! I will definitely be coming here again and telling all my friends about it. read more

I was in the area and needed to get my car smogged. I had my dogs with me and it was a hot day so I was hoping to get it done someplace without waiting an hour or so. I was lucky to find this place as it was sooo fast - 10 minutes! I was very pleased as I was in and out as fast as that. I don't think I have ever had one of my vehicles done so quickly and effortlessly! It has always been a dreaded chore and this place made it simple! He even liked my dogs! read more

I had a good experience. The wait time was about 15 minutes before it was my turn, and then it only took about 10 minutes after that to do the actual test. read more
