There's no shortage of smog centers in town, so I decided to pull into the first "Star" certified place that looked decent. I didn't have time to do my research or find a Groupon for a smog test, like I normally would, but turns out Smog In had good reviews. I was greeted as soon as I walked in to the small, clean lobby. The tech/owner was helping another customer. He was very professional, polite, and efficient. Paper work was filled out quickly and he got to my car in less than 10 minutes. I think the entire process took 20 minutes. I paid $65 out the door and was on my way with a passed smog check. Easy peasy. read more

In and out in 10 mins. Great customer service too. Convenient and very professional. No complaints!

My second visit this year. I brought in my SUV for a smog check two months ago; this time it was my old Honda Accord. The service is always quick. Lo even suggested a repair that I needed to get done, saving me from a near-future headache, which was greatly appreciated. read more

I've taken my car here a few times to smog when it's required every 2 years and have had good experiences. Usually the wife sends me with a coupon she finds online and I just bring the car in and it's been affordable and acceptably quick service as long as we come earlier in the day, and weekends seem to be busier so weekdays would be less busy. There's a relatively clean and comfortable waiting room and it's air conditioned, and there's a TV for passing the time. Usually it takes less than an hour from the time I arrive, so that's pretty good. The staff are experienced, efficient, and generally friendly. read more

Needed to smog my car and found this spot when googled. Found a coupon deal. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Inside was clean with chairs, a television and some magazines. It was not busy when we got here around 2ish pm, so smog completed within 15 min. Service was very efficient and price was decent. Would definitely recommend this place for those who still needs a smog! read more

A+ experience. I went on a Saturday morning right after they opened. There was one person being helped in front of me, I was in and out in about 15 minutes! Very easy process. The employee was professional and kind. It was a good value and I will remember to come here for my SMOG needs. read more

Good and quick service. Sunday makes it convenient. Highly recommend and will come again.

0 stars if I could, so I brought my civic in for a smog, my 2nd time here with the same car, same technician, only this time he spotted an issue, he tells me he can't smog it because I had an extra catalytic converter (CAT). I was shocked and confused. As Im aware of only 1 for my car. My 96 SC400 has 4 from factory. So I asked him to show me. And he points at my resonator under the car. And ask if I even know what a "CAT" is, 1st red flag, i have some basic knowledge of car mechanics and terms so I said "sure I do but thats my resonator". He responded by pointing to my muffler near the bumper saying that's your resonator. 2nd red flag, So I tell him he didn't say anything 2 years ago when I brought it to him. He denied ever smogging it and that no one will ever smog my car like this, 3rd red flag (keep in mind I have the receipt from 2 years ago when he did the smog and passed it) this car just sits and serves as a back up, nothing has been changed between smogs. So I took his bet, went to the "USA Smog" shop next door. I told the tech the story and he checked the exhaust system. Had a laugh and confirmed it's not an extra (CAT), car passed smog, price was cheaper, and more quality service. Thanks to "USA Smog" got my tags same day. read more

Stay away from these terrible people, they will try to rip you off. They are rude and not helpful. I didn't get the name of the owner. I called the Bureau of Automotive Repair 1800-952-5210 because I thought the people at Smog In were trying to rip me off. Turns out my car could pass smog even if one of my smog sensors was still not passing. At Smog In, they said that all the sensors had to pass, liars. Once my car passed, I told the owner off and told him that he should treat his customers better, I hate places like this that will take the money of its customers and treat customers like crap, do not go here to get a smog. read more

I've been coming here for years and for some reason I never thought to leave a review. Lo (the owner or Tech) is super reliable and does the smog super fast. Today, I was in and out in less than 20 mins. I like how they have a flat rate of $50, it was previously $40 but that's understandable due to inflation. I highly recommend this place to have your car serviced! read more

Recently got my 2012 Honda Civic smogged here and was very impressed with the customer service.

Another 5 star review for this place. I been coming here for years because honestly, this place is the best!! Lo, the smog tech is efficient and very professional. I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

Just recently purchased a used car that needed a catalytic converter. So I looked around for a shop that can help me out with that. My car needed a smog check in order to complete my registration and I already planned on going here. What made it better is that this shop also does catalytic converters! Asked for a quote and Tommy responded right away. He was very helpful and set up an appointment to get my catalytic converter installed and smog tested. Kumar did a great job installing the cat. He even mentioned my muffler was falling apart which needs replacement. Thanks for letting me know! Lou, I think was his name, performed the smog for the car. I was thinking it wasn't gonna pass since it's an old car but with the new cat I'm glad it passed. If anyone needs a smog test done, without hesitation, I would recommend Smog In. They do all kinds of repairs. They do it all. read more

Took my car in for a smog check which only took about 20 minutes. Appreciate the tech who assisted. Great service, would highly recommend!

This place saved me $1028 for services and parts that Quality Tune-Up on Florin Rd was trying to ripe off for. Thank you Smog In.

I was referred to this location by a friend. It's located near Happy Garden Restaurant. The office has seats to sit on while you wait for your car to get a smog. And there's a soda machine. Sign the paperwork on the clipboard when you get in and give your keys to the guy behind the counter. He was the only one there so he was taking care of incoming customers and smogging the cars. Arrived in the morning time and there was one customer ahead of me. I gave him my DMV paperwork and my keys. He drives your car into the smog area. That process took no more than 8 minutes probably. He printed out my receipt and gave me my paperwork back letting me know my car passed. He did say give them 24 hours to send the confirmation to DMV electronically. I paid $40 which is quite good compared to the one I had gone to in the past. I will return for my next smog check. Good job! read more

Best smog experience I've ever had. Took both my cars on a Sunday. I was in and out in a little over an hour. This Included drive time back to my house to swap cars and both smog tests (takes about 15 mins per car). Office and waiting room were super clean. Lo the owner was super friendly and professional as well. Most painless smog and automobile experience I've ever had. Came on a recommendation from a friend and I won't be going anywhere else for smog/other work in the future. 5 star business forsure! read more

Wow! First class service right from the start. Spoke to Tommy on the phone and he quoted me a price and that is exactly what I paid when I checked out with Kumar. So extra selling or funny business. I went in at 11:30 am and out by noon. Bravo! read more

Getting Smog done. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Open on Saturday's until 4pm as of September 2021

I believe I was one of the first to review this place like 3 years ago and all I am wondering is wth happened..? I gave them 5 stars then and I've sent my husband and my son there since and the service is nothing like it was... had to go back several times for my sons car, they were rude, wouldn't answer direct questions, and wouldn't honor the re-smog fee - of all things! Decided it wasn't worth arguing anymore after having to go up there twice after the repairs were done from the initial failed VISUAL smog, got the run around and just went elsewhere... what a nightmare, they made something so small into such a big deal... the pettiness and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistake is my biggest issue.. read more

Smog In - Don't pass it up.. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

I used the yelp function that allows you to text multiple businesses for a quote. Smog-in gave me the best quote and had the best availability. The communication was also impressive. My car arrived there, I got a call. They called me when they confirmed what was wrong with it and kept me informed during the repair. They also didn't mind me leaving it there a couple days after repair until I had time to get it. Car repairs can be a nightmare. However, this place was a dream to come true.
