The Smog Xperts saved me on my DMV registration due date! I went to my regular smog station and they were already closed. Frantically, I looked on Yelp for another place near my location. I called the Smog Xperts and they accommodated me after they were closed too. If you need a Smog Check look no further, these guys are fast, fair, and friendly. read more

5 stars! Hands down the best smog check experience in Sacramento. I walked in without an appointment around midday, and they had me in and out in under 15 minutes--super fast and efficient! The staff was friendly, professional, and no upselling or nonsense. They explained everything clearly, my car passed easily, and the price was very reasonable. read more

Smog Xperts - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Sacramento, California

Smog Xperts does a great job in a timely fashion. They're located in an industrial complex so your best bet is to park directly in front of their building without blocking access to their garage. I purchased a Groupon since the California DMV required that my wife's car be smogged at a Star station this year. Unfortunately it didn't pass the first time since we had recently done some work to it and the emissions monitors hadn't fully reset themselves. They don't offer free retest when you use Groupon. They were kind enough to match their Groupon price a few days later and it passed without any issues. They're very efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future when we need to get our cars smogged. Their prices are very competitive and I was in and out probably quicker than any other shop I've ever been to. I couldn't recommend them more for your vehicle smog needs. read more

Excellent service! The staff was friendly, professional, and got my smog check done quickly. The process was smooth, the pricing was fair, and they explained everything clearly. I was in and out faster than expected. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing a reliable and hassle-free smog check. I'll definitely be coming back in the future! read more

Fast and friendly. If you see them on Groupon, don't purchase there. Come on in! They will price match and more. Let's keep the money locally. Took no more than 15 minutes. Will definitely come here for all my smog needs. read more

Smog xperts has been my go to for over 3 years. They are so professional, honest and never try to chest you for your money. They're smart and know lots about cars too. Went for a smog and was out in 10 minutes. They're super cool and alway give the best recommended advice. They take all cars. Stance cars, lifted trucks, exotic cars. I'd say be careful when entering the lot. They do have cars parked in. Don't be in a rush. They're very fast and definitely take walk ins! read more

I called them in the morning bc my Groupon purchase did not go through. The man on the phone told me he'd honor the Groupon price. Great service! Short wait. read more

I've visited this hidden gem twice now, and both experiences have been excellent. The service is always fast, friendly, and efficient. One of the biggest perks is that they're open seven days a week, making it easy to get in when you need them. If you give them a call, they'll let you know what specials they have going on. Their prices were also lower than the quotes I received in Solano County. I highly recommend checking them out! read more

Quick, easy, and painless. No nonsense, no frills, and they've got a Proupgon that they'll honor even if you don't buy it from the site. Can't say enough about them--but then, I barely have anything to say, it was that easy. Check them out when you have a need. read more

Needed to get a smog check on our diesel truck. I first checked Groupon, where I found Smog Xperts. Great deal, $36 plus $8.75 for the certificate. Extra charge for SUVs and trucks. All of the reviews through Groupon were great. One person commented that they would honor the Groupon price, and that you don't even need to purchase the Groupon deal. I called Smog Xperts, and spoke to a very nice gentleman who told me he would honor the $36 Groupon, but it would be $20 extra for diesel. He asked when I would be coming in, and told me to take a picture of the Groupon so that I could show it to him when I arrived. I went in today, and upon parking in front of the entrance, Chaolee came out to greet me, asking if I was there for a smog check. He asked how I heard about them, to which I told him that I found them on Groupon, and had called yesterday. He asked me to take a picture of my mileage and bring my DMV paperwork inside. Within minutes he handled paperwork and went to smog check my truck, but not before telling me to help myself to a snack (multiple types of Belvita on the end of the counter - nice little touch!) Within what felt like 10 minutes or less, he came back with great news that the truck had passed. I noticed he was wearing an Army Veteran hat, so I thanked him for his service (to which he said thank you for the recognition) and mentioned that my dad had served in the Air Force. I was back home in just under an hour from when I had left the house. Great, speedy, efficient, friendly service. Got my errand handled in record time! Can't beat that! I will definitely recommend Smog Xperts and Chaolee to others. read more

Service was fast and professional. Will continue to bring my vehicles for smog to this location.

Great service every time. Very professional and courteous. Reasonably priced and easy to find.

I needed to SMOG my son's car and found these guys on Groupon for a good price. I came in around 4:15 and was out in about 10 minutes. Family owned business, and honest people. They even had gum and some snacks for customers. If you need a SMOG, check them out. They'll match competitor's prices and Groupons too, so no need to buy through Groupon. read more

It was that time of the year, the time that DMV gets to clamp down on emissions from your car...at least, that's what the smog check program is designed for. Since I don't modify my cars to make super high horsepower, I'm not too worried about my cars getting smogged because I maintain them properly and not race around in them doing donuts and drag sprints. I used Yelp to look up some shops and after talking with them I found that Chaolee had a friendly business attitude but wasn't pushy and said he'd match any company's coupons. He also said he could take walk-in business right now, so I went to his shop which was nearby. His modest shop is in an automotive related circle of warehouses so be sure to check the suite number when you go there. He tested my car, it passed so I was in and out in about 15 minutes including filling out paperwork...super quick! Only limitation is they're not a STAR certified so I can't bring my older car to them. But for straight up smog checks this is the place! read more

Super fast work I failed the smog check because of my check engine bulb being burnt out but they work quick and are very helpful when communicating read more

Fast and friendly service! Very affordable as well! They matched my price to the Groupon price. Thank you!

Fantastic service, very friendly, quick, and a great value! Definitely recommend and will be back for my next smog check.

The service was great. In and out with no fuss. Owner will match any Groupon offer, so buy direct from the small business.

Was in and out extremely fast! Nice customer service but a little tricky to find. Look for the big "smog" banner and after turning into the parking lot it is located in an open garage on the left. read more
