Came by and Mr. Nguyen was working on another car. I asked him how long it'd be and he said about 10 minutes. Went into the little office/waiting area which has a good amount of seats and a little tv. No public restrooms. Once he was done with the other car, he came into the office to help me and acknowledged the Yelp $5 coupon. It was $49.75 for the smog and $8.25 for the certificate. $58 total before the $5 coupon. Paid cash since it's an extra $2 for any card transactions. Wait wasn't too long and I'd come again! read more

It took all week, day 1 I waited 3 hours and no one showed up. Finally on Friday I got it done. However the Rude guy refused the $5 coupon but that is normal here. I have had 6 smog checks here in other cars and they always refuse to give the $5 off. The guy says he does not have permission to give it!! GO TO ANOTHER SHOP. Can I give negative stars? read more

Avoid this place, 1st and last time with this guy, unless your car is perfect, and you don't mind watching this guy twiddle his thumbs, sitting in your car for most of it, leaves your car running 45 min, and making sure he goes way over the smog time limit rules for smog shops, while new customers sit back and wait. DOES NOT PRECHECK, to see if minimum obd2 readiness are ready (most shops will at least check if its ready for smog), he does not, will not, "I do not do that", per him, so 45 minute later he will fail you and take your money, oh and dont ask how long, " if you let me do my work it will be shorter, I will let you know" heard him say that, as I waited 1.5 hr for my turn, watching two people fail, my time is more valuable than that $5 savings I do agree with others, he needs to realize to offer good customer service, and to lose the rudeness. we could be the ones going back year after year. Dont know if he is the owner or an employee, owner might want to make sure he keeps customers returning. read more

Great service! The guys were able to test my car quickly. The prices are fair. I've bought my vehicles here several times.

Wow what a one man team.. he can do it all. From checking ppl in.. to registrating cars.. checking smogs to see if it passed or fails and to fill out the paperwork allllll on his own. I was probably the second person there and it started to get busy but he handled it without any problems. And THANKFULLY this shop opens on the weekend, so I am very grateful for that. It is honestly so hard to get anything done working a 9-5 job... I appreciate small businesses like this so much. Fast easy service and the price was reasonable. 100% Recommend read more

Prompt, professional, courteous service--great value! Clean, very well air-conditioned, comfortable, small waiting area with TV screen but wait was not long at all. Used $5 yelp coupon, saves business cc fees if you pay in cash. Highly recommend! Will return next time. read more

These folks are B.S. said we Change the battery drive it 60 miles & come back will give u a free test .. So we paid that $38 bucks .. im like why u even start the test anyways, when u saw the new battery . But anyways we paid and drove the car for 60 miles.. But a friend told me its safer 2 drive it a least 100 plus miles .. But we still went after that 60 miles cause it's gonna rain for the whole week .. So, it didn't pass again, as when u change the battery it reset the data on car computer.. Ai says it needs at least 120 miles to adapter . I should have listen to my buddy omg. Scam scam scam all they want is money.. not honest ..not quality work told as need to drive a lil more and come back. But needs to pay again . I'm like ok need to pay again , why do we need to come back to u guys . Dishonest bad business.. I drove it for another 2 hr freeway & some local & went elsewhere & it pass .. -5 star .. wasting ppl's time, $$, scam read more

Very fast and courteous. Get you in and out quick. Will come back definitely. It wasn't busy when I came early in the morning.

I went to this business because I needed a Smog certified place. Place was clean, the person I presume is the owner was very nice and pleasant to talk too. In and service, the website says 15 minute service and I was out in 10. Plus the $5 off from the website helped. Great value!!! I will be bringing in my other cars for service. read more

The one man band played the right tunes and helped me with my smog fast and easy even with about 4 people ahead of me we got out in a reasonable amount of time real good customer service read more

Han was kind and efficient but I don't like the owners policy on credit cards. $2 is exorbitant and greedy. And it's for credit or debit! Who tf charges for debit!!!! They have up signs for Apple Pay and don't even have it!!! My bank refunds external atm fees, I would've had no problem getting cash ahead of time, IF I knew. Their page says they accept credit cards, nothing about a fee. I have issues with paying to pay for things. And again $2 is ridiculous. No issue w my smog, poor Han. He told me customers bitch about the fee all the time. It's not his fault he's just employed by someone who has no issue gouging folks. Hard to recommend places that take advantage. read more

Professional and courteous smog services. Great pricing versus other smog businesses. In and out in less than 20 minutes.

Great service, very friendly and efficient. I've taken my car there 4 times and every time it's been a very painless process. Even when there are customers ahead of me, the wait hasn't been too bad. It's a no frills shop for sure, there's a waiting room and a cashier and not much else, but they focus on the essentials like customer service and getting the work done. I'll definitely go back and would recommend. read more

Had my first ever smog check about a month ago and it was a super pleasant experience. I called first to see if I needed to make an appointment and they told me it's not necessary. When I got there, there was a couple of people in front of me. Only one person was working but man oh man he was so efficient! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! I came on a weekday during the afternoon. The price was reasonable too, all he needs was the smog paper and I just have to fill out one small section and poof everything is done! They took care of everything on their end and about two weeks later I got my registration in the mail. I recommend bringing cash because he charges extra for card use. The only negative thing is the location. It's in pretty sketchy area so just be aware of your surroundings and mind your business read more

Best customer service. Always gets you in and is really fast. I also think they're family owned and run.

Mr. Sing is a professional as they come. I am not easy to impress, but I am super impressed with Advance Smog. I called ahead to see if they could see me today. I was told no problem come on in. I went in on a Saturday around 12:30pm. Short after I arrived about 3-4 more customers arrived. He was extremely fast and provided exceptional customer service! I was in and out in less than 20min. Despite the fact that he was so busy, he made sure to acknowledge everyone who stopped in. This is my 2nd time getting my Smog done at this shop and highly recommend. Awesome place and friendly service. Will be back for all our smog from now on. Got us in and out quick

Made a call to verify if an appointment was needed. Person who answered was friendly and said to come in in about an hr since he was backed up. I decided to give him a little more time and came in around 2 hours after my initial call. There was 1 family waiting before me. Shortly after I walked in the employee came in gave me a form to fill out and advised me it'd be about a 20 minute wait. The waiting area is pretty small with only 4 chairs, but there is a TV to keep everyone entertained while they wait. The whole process took about only 30 minutes for me. It seems like the employee was working as a one man show. Poor guy was running in and out of the shop greeting customers, answering calls, taking payments, and working on the cars. When it was my time to pay he was extremely pleasant, funny, and knowledgable. He keep in good spirits despite the customer load after my arrival. He works very hard! I believe I paid $53 dollars for smog and cert. A couple things to know: -They charge a $2 fee when using debit/credit -$5 off your smog if you "check-in" on Yelp! I'll come back for the next one! read more

I called ahead and he said no appointments necessary. So, I drive there and he took care of it right away. The reason he was able to do it so fast is because that's all he does. Other shops are slower because they do other things besides smog. So, I would definitely go back next time. read more

This is a joke business. Refused to scan it first to tell smog readiness. Instead argued with me and used bad words . Argued with each other - boss / employee. Do not go there . Don't waste your time and money or nerves. Day before they checked my smog readiness no problem. Not today. They not honored their rate . Told me on phone $58 , when arrived it $68. read more

My mechanic recommended this place because he said they would offer a good price. When I took my car there, I asked how much it would cost to smog my 2015 Town & Country, the guy at the counter quoted me $79.99 + $8.25 for the certificate. I looked at the sign in plain view, which says $49.99 for cars and minivan 2000 and newer. I asked why I have to pay more. Clearly, my car fits the category. He said because my car costs more. Are you kidding me!! I grabbed my paper and walked out, before I left he asked, how much I want to pay?! Despite the price is listed, the guy at the counter tried to pull a fast one. Very dishonest, don't recommend this place. I went down the street on Fruitridge and paid $50 read more

All they do is smog checks. Quick and simple. I was in and out within 30 mins. Reasonable price and courteous staff.

I brought my 2015 Mercedes Benz to advance smog paid the fee and took care of the smog.

Hai is AMAZING! Whether he has one person in front of you or ten. He is attentive, caring and goes above and beyond for his customers. I recently moved from out of state and my SMOG did not pass on the first attempt. I value that he expressed what I needed to do in detail and assisted me through the process. NO CHARGE for retest which is great and he actively looked for ways that I could save money. I have three boys and brought them all for the service. It was QUICK! I will be back as long as we are in the Sacramento area. THANK YOU, Hai! read more

$2 for all cc transactions. One of of the best deals in town. Pack your patience, only 1 person working.

The service was fast and that's the lone reason for 1 star. However, the owner was very rude spoke to me like I was a child. He seems irritated by the $10 off option for Yelp Check in and yelled at me saying "show me the app, show me where it says $10 off." Also, filling out the paper work he acted like a jerk because I overlooked the highlighted section to fill out phone number, he's a d*ck read more
