I dropped the car off late in the night and drop my key in their dropbox, expecting, I might get ripped off because I didn't have any context for this business. To my amazing surprise, I talked to the team at Tracy Auto Service and they are super honest and helpful. My clanking in the car was a relatively minor issue (skid plate dropped). And they told me how to fix it when I got home. They charged me a very reasonable /nominal fee for the time for inspection and diagnosis. Since I've been ripped off many times by mechanics in the past., it's so great to know there are great trustworthy businesses still around. I couldn't have found this business without Yelp help/. Kudos to Mike at Tracy Auto and the rest of the team there!!

It's hard to find mechanics who are reliable, honest, fast, and fairly priced, but these guys checked every box. Seriously one of the best experiences I've had with a mechanic. He took the time to explain in detail how to check for an oil leak and what signs to look for. His advice was incredibly helpful. I later had the car inspected, and they confirmed there was indeed a small oil leak. I really appreciate Blake's honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help. He could have easily said nothing, but instead he went above and beyond to make sure I understood the issue. It's hard to find people who are this trustworthy and genuinely care about their customers. Even though it was after hours, Carlos was incredibly kind and told me to bring the car in right away. He welcomed me with a water bottle, reassured me that everything would be okay, and immediately helped me feel like I was in good hands. While I was there, I noticed he was also working on an Audi R8, which gave me even more confidence--clearly he knows his way around Audis. On Monday, he gave me a call to go over the repair estimate and mentioned another issue he noticed. He clearly explained everything and asked if I wanted to move forward. When the car was ready a few days later, he emailed me ahead of time with photos of the work and a detailed, itemized invoice. When I picked up the car, he walked me through exactly what he'd done and answered all my questions with patience and professionalism. Carlos went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel easy and manageable. I truly felt taken care of.

D & S have skillful mechanics and charge reasonable prices. I brought my Subaru in with a leak near the oil pan, and I thought the worst, Tom would find other damages and the cost would be $300-$400, it was way less, ~$158. The leak was only damage he found. He kept the car an extra day to test that the repair fixed the leak, putting extra time in and not charging. Leak fixed. Upon picking up my car I relieved the cost was reasonable, and I admitted to being nervous about a large bill because I just lost my job. He felt bad about that, and this is where Tom is a great human being: he didn't charge me! He said, "Since you lost your job, we're square." Unbelievable! I didn't expect sure an awesome gesture! I felt blessed! Thank you, Tom and D & S Automotive! You have a customer for life!

He didn't even charge me and told me to come back when the work was actually needed. That level of honesty is rare. More recently, I had a fuel pump issue, and Tom squeezed me into his busy schedule, prioritized my repair, and gave me a great price without compromising on quality. Great tire and auto repair shop in Manteca!…read more My tire got a big screw in it and had a slow leak (thanks to the TPMS on my car to alert me) so I needed to get it patched up ASAP. I called around and Al the owner at Prince Tires said he could do it in 15 minutes and for $25 (around noon on a Tuesday). This was quicker and cheaper than most of the other places I called plus this was closer to me near Costco Manteca. Al did a great job patching my tire and even let me watch and learn all about the process. In 15 minutes, my tire was patched and all is good again. Thanks Al! I like to buy my tires from Amazon (price and selection is better than any tire store) and Al said he is happy to install Amazon bought tires for $30/tire which is very reasonable. He said just call him in advance so he can be ready to have the tires sent directly to the store for your installation. If you are at Great Wolf Lodge Manteca or Big League Dreams Manteca and you have a flat tire that needs a patch, Prince Tires is likely the closest and best place to do it. Costco does patch tires, but the wait can be hours or more since they are always so busy. I literally was in and out of Prince Tires in 15 minutes to fix my flat.
