Checked my mail around 4pm and noticed I needed a smog check in order to renew my registration. I called over and was told to bring my car in ASAP and I could be helped same day, before closing, with no appointment. I arrived and was helped after the customer before me. Smog check was quick, professional, and I was provided with a copy of all the test performed. Even left my truck running by the door so I did not have to walk. Couldn't be happy. Smog Station - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Dublin, California

One of the only shops with transparent pricing (~62$ + 8.25$ CA + 2$ Credit card). Owner collects license plates and decorates the wall inside the shop. I came in for a smog check after transmission service and smog failed as car needed more miles on it. Retest is free within 1month which is rare. I loved the welcoming/honest owner & mechanic, transparent pricing, and overall experience. Would go here again for other cars. read more

Friendly and welcoming is my first impression from the Smog Station. I pulled right up and was promptly greeted. I needed the STAR certificate and they were happy to provide the service at a reasonable price. The waiting area was clean with a comfy couch and a game to watch on tv. I always bring my vehicles here for the smog requirement from the DMV. read more

Showed up and told there was an hour wait. Decided to fill out paperwork and waited for an hour. When I asked again how long it would be, was told they were backed up and couldn't tell me how much longer. Pretty shitty to have wasted an hour. read more

Professional and quick service! Tuesday morning I was looking for a smog check close to the Pleasanton DMV. The first place I called said in their voicemail that they didn't have an available appointment for five weeks (???). I called Smog Station and he said it was first come, first served, so I headed over there. I was the only customer when I drove up, and he completed the smog check is 15 minutes! $70 total, prices as advertised. Great experience, would recommend! read more

I had a code on my truck that wouldn't clear because the part was unavailable so I could not pass a smog check. After going to numerous smog stations and mechanics, I found smog station. Smog station over in Dublin. Always bring my cars here. Troy, the owner, provides fast, reliable, and honest service every time. Matt who also works there knows a lot about troubleshooting engine issues. They offer great value, not like other shops that try to get you to do all this extra work. read more

Had a good experience here getting a smog check. My Mini Cooper had some issues with its computer in relation to the catalytic converter and they directed me on how to reset it so the smog check would clear. Went on a Saturday morning and it was straight forward and easy. Quick and efficient customer service! Highly recommend this place!

This is to update my last review that 1 star given to Smog Station. Regardless what happened few weeks ago due to some miscommunication, Troy followed up with me this week and I returned this morning for another round of smog check. Everything ran so smooth and Troy gave me a VIP like service. Now my truck is registered and all good. If you need any smog check service, I highly recommend Smog Station as your trust provider. read more

The place is somewhat tricky to find - you maneuver around some auto dealers and follow the sign into a one-way road located on an industrial complex with trucks and forklifts moving around. At the very end of the road you'll find a hangar-like structure - that would be Smog Station. I was the first one in. Customer service was friendly and attentive. Their waiting room was huge and had interesting decorations of various signs, license plates, photos, etc. They had a huge flat-screen TV playing ESPN, and a large parakeet chirping to keep things interesting. They were also good about letting you use their restroom. I was out in about 15 minutes. They aren't the cheapest Smog Check place I been to, but they were the closest to my location at the time and got the job done. I noticed they do have print coupons from time to time - maybe next time they'll have them on Yelp like other places. read more

I've been here couple of times over last 5 years - perfect service. Quick, reliable, certified.

I remember back in 1991, as a new driver, needing a SMOG on my 1986 Pontiac Grand Am. I went to Montgomery Wards Automotive over on Dublin Blvd. for a smog. They should be reputable, right? Well, failed the smog test. Montgomery Wards said give us $100 and we'll look at it in a few hours and then when we find what's wrong, that will be additional. Okay, they are the experts. So a walked over to the barber shop for a haircut. While there, I laid out my woes. When someone heard that they said, "hey, why don't you go try the Smog Station". "Smog Station?", I asked - "never heard of it, but okay." After my haircut, walked back to Montgomery Wards, told them I had to run back home real quick, could I take my car, please (didn't want to lose my place in line). Took the car over to the Smog Station. I think Troy was the guy that helped me. He asked if the car was cold when they tested it? I just had a blank stare... He said go run it hard down to the end of the street and back. So I did. He looked under the hood - found a tube missing from my air/carb thingie, replaced it for like $6 or so, smogged the car, and passed without issue. WOW. Went back to Montgomery Wards, told them I passed elsewhere, and wanted a refund which they reluctantly provided due to the 100% satisfaction guarantee. From that moment on, I went to the Smog Station, except a brief period of time when they moved and I didn't know where they went (the city redid the street they were on and took over the buildings or something forcing the Smog Station to move. Fast Forward to 2022 - ran my 2014 MDX in there for a Smog. Bang, Boom, POW! Done. Same fast service, same good price, same guy Troy (Troy didn't do mine, another nice young man did). So glad they are still around. It's where you should take your car for a Smog. read more

Smogged my cars here for well over a decade now (through 3 locations). It's not the neatest place, it's a touch crowded and messy. The service has always been rapid and the wait is usually not long. I point people in their direction when a smog place comes up in conversation. read more

Smog Station - A little messy, but still the only place I get my cars smogged. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Dublin, California

Smog check was $70 total ! It was too high. Service was fast and no complaints otherwise. I just think not was way too expensive.

Being a bit of a mechanic myself, Troy and Matt have always helped me with straightforward honest advice to keep my aging fleet smog legal and running tip-top whenever I've had one that wouldn't cut muster! Thanks fellas, Shawn read more

the only and best place to ever get a smog! why the hell does it seem i must get this done every two years now?! what a pain in my ass! well i came across this place 5 years ago and have now been here twice and it's the only place i will ever go. the owner troy is so very friendly and very aware of how to pass a smog test. he informed me many places don't pass because your car will sit and wait and to pass he has me drive my car up and down the street to get the car all warmed up and ready to be tested. each and every time it passes with flying colors and my car is pretty old! in the waiting room you can be entertained for hours by his parrot flying around and saying the funniest things but i never have to wait too long because he gets the job done fast!!! read more

Called around 5:10 pm on Wednesday, asked if they had time for walk-in smog check. He said yes. Sweet! I show up around 5:30 and fill out the paperwork he gave me, while he says "I'll be with you in 5 minutes." Sat around like a fool while he worked on another car for the guy next door. I walked out at 5:55. It's a smog check! I am a customer just WAITING to hand you cash for a few minutes of work! If you weren't actually available, then say so! Thanks for wasting my time, asshole. read more

I had spoke with Discount Smog and they were entirely rude to me and wouldn't be straight forward. My car is 10+ years and it needed smogging. I looked up Smog Station on Yelp! and saw all these wonderful ads. Very straight forward. Evap, Smog, Cert, $70 flat out the door. No hassle, no hidden fees, just an up front price. He was really nice and they have a cute parrot that hangs out in the shop. For a guy that's been doing business since 1984, he's got the right idea. read more

Ok, so I got an Acura that had been hot rodded out by the fast and furious crowd... I took it to my usual smog guy and he tells me the PCV (whatever that is...) is disconnected and that it failed miserably. No referral, no help no suggestions, just pay and leave now I've got other cars to smog. My friend and neighbor told me I should take the car here. They know what they're doing. So I do. I brought the car in, Matt looked it over and re-connected the PCV (Whew!) then tested it and it passed no problem. he even told me that if I replaced the thermostat, it would run even cleaner. I was sure I was looking at a major bill to get this fixed... They didn't even charge me anything extra for the diagnosis and fix. Who does that these days?!! These guys may not be the cheapest in town, but they are the best! Thanks Matt and thanks Smog Station read more
