Needed to get my car smogged and thought to come to this place. Arrived to the place and walked towards the open garage. Not one auto tech in sight. Went inside the gas station mart and the guy says they don't have anything to do with them and that someone should be there. Went back to the open garage yelling hello and no response. Decided to call and ask if they're open. The gentleman who answers says no they're not open and that the smog tech was not in. Well then why have a garage open at all?! Not a great first experience and plan to make it my last. read more

Super easy and quick. Well, I guess quick is always relative, right? So I come here on a weekday in the middle of the week to get my smog check for my car. This is my first time needing to do a smog check. I found this place because I had a coupon for this place and with the coupon, it is the cheapest but keep in mind, the coupon says CASH price. So please bring cash. I assume it'll cost a little bit more with a credit card. I called ahead to ask about pricing/coupon, hours/availability. No appointments needed - just drop in. So I come here, this shares with one of the gas station off San Ramon Valley Blvd. It can be tricky entering this lot depending where you're coming from. Once I arrived, I told them what I was here for and he told me it'll be 15 minutes. I pull my car up and he said there's chairs so I can wait. I decide to walk around and come back in 10-15 minutes. It was done. Easy breezy and cheapest smog in the area. Definitely would recommend with a coupon! read more

They wanted to drill a hole in my car (Yes! using a drill machine) so they can fit a non standard screw, as they ran out of standard screws that would fit. This place is horrible. They said they open at 9 am. Arrive about 9:15 am. No one there. Asked at the gas station. They said they don't have anything to do with them. They finally arrived at 10 am, but didn't even take names or anything. Just started working on cars. I finally was able to get the attention of one of the workers and able to ask about smog. They said the guy doesn't even come in until 10:30!!! Don't come here unless you have a lot of time to waste. Agreed on the other reviews...why even have a garage? I went in to get my 98' mercedes smogged, they told me that the service would be 30 minutes long due to the age of the car. they ran out of one of the gasses 25 minutes in and told me to come back another day and that they would call me when the gas comes in and they proceeded to never call me in the weeks to come. At the end of my appointment when they told me they couldn't complete the service they mentioned that i "shouldn't go to another smog place as they won't smog my car due to it being too old." I recently went to another different smog place that completed my service within 10-15 minutes and informed me that my car in fact was not seen as too old by any smog establishments. I sincerely do not recommend getting your car smogged at Bestech if you drive an older car. read more
