Needed to get my car smogged and thought to come to this place. Arrived to the place and walked towards the open garage. Not one auto tech in sight. Went inside the gas station mart and the guy says they don't have anything to do with them and that someone should be there. Went back to the open garage yelling hello and no response. Decided to call and ask if they're open. The gentleman who answers says no they're not open and that the smog tech was not in. Well then why have a garage open at all?! Not a great first experience and plan to make it my last. read more

Super easy and quick. Well, I guess quick is always relative, right? So I come here on a weekday in the middle of the week to get my smog check for my car. This is my first time needing to do a smog check. I found this place because I had a coupon for this place and with the coupon, it is the cheapest but keep in mind, the coupon says CASH price. So please bring cash. I assume it'll cost a little bit more with a credit card. I called ahead to ask about pricing/coupon, hours/availability. No appointments needed - just drop in. So I come here, this shares with one of the gas station off San Ramon Valley Blvd. It can be tricky entering this lot depending where you're coming from. Once I arrived, I told them what I was here for and he told me it'll be 15 minutes. I pull my car up and he said there's chairs so I can wait. I decide to walk around and come back in 10-15 minutes. It was done. Easy breezy and cheapest smog in the area. Definitely would recommend with a coupon! read more

I gave 5 stars few months ago because I had a great service. Today I went back again to get other car smog checked but this time was totally opposite from my last visit so, I left without getting smog checked. Their price changed so I told him he charged me differently 2months ago. Then he told me he didn't want to deal with my kind of people!! What kind of people do I have to be able to talk to him? I felt I was treated poorly and he was racist. I do not recommend this place to get a smog check!! read more

Needed to get a smog test, and Bestech came up first in my search results. Hatice was super nice and very fast in smogging my car. She was super efficient and because of my procrastination with the registration, she recommended me that I can go to triple AAA to get my registration done. Fast, efficient, and friendly. What more can you ask for from a smog place? Remember to bring a coupon from the local Your Town Monthly coupon mailer for the best deal. ($36.75 with coupon (MY2000 and newer vehicles) + $8.25 for certificate + $2 credit card fee = $47) Also, if you're a AAA member, there's a AAA right across the street with DMV services. You can get smogged and your registration renewed in less than 30 minutes with minimal fuss. You'll find cheaper smog places if you venture over the hill into Oakland, but why waste $20 in gas + time to save $10? Just go to Bestech with a coupon and be done with it. read more

Moms car registration is due tomorrow and DMV requires a smog!! Well, We called these guys and they said to come on over 30 min before closing..super nice of them. We were able to get moms car smogged by Jose and Priscilla. They brought out chairs for my parents to sit on while we got it done. Worst place to go for any work. The staff is extremely inexperienced and rude. They wanted to drill a hole in my car (Yes! using a drill machine) so they can fit a non standard screw, as they ran out of standard screws that would fit. This is after the work they did on my car which resulted in my car breaking down on the highway. read more

This place is horrible. They said they open at 9 am. Arrive about 9:15 am. No one there. Asked at the gas station. They said they don't have anything to do with them. They finally arrived at 10 am, but didn't even take names or anything. Just started working on cars. I finally was able to get the attention of one of the workers and able to ask about smog. They said the guy doesn't even come in until 10:30!!! Don't come here unless you have a lot of time to waste. Agreed on the other reviews...why even have a garage? Just to work on your friend's cars?! Waste of time. Would give no stars if I could read more

Definitely go here for a smog check! I called other "STAR Inspection" businesses nearby & they're charging $60-80 for a simple smog check with certificate. But Bestech charged me $45 CASH for the same service. I was told it'd be $2 more on credit card.* I was helped quickly & professionally by Jose who performed the entire service in 6 minutes! I'm happy this business provides quality & value for my money. *For reference, I have a 2014 Scion FRS. I recommend to call beforehand for proper quote on your make & model. read more

At one point my Acura MDX was at the dealer, and I was told I needed a gasket repair that would have cost well over a thousand dollars. I brought the car to Diablo for a second opinion, and they determined that the repair wasn't actually needed -- and they didn't charge me anything. They could have easily sold me expensive work I didn't need. They didn't. On another visit, the scheduled maintenance called for a valve adjustment -- something that normally involves a costly and invasive procedure. Diablo had the proper diagnostic tools to evaluate whether it was actually necessary, determined it wasn't, and saved me a significant amount of money. I also once brought my car in because I was concerned there might be exhaust fumes getting into the cabin. They took the time to evaluate it, drove the car, and checked everything -- and again, since there wasn't actually a problem to fix, they didn't charge me a dime for their time. They consistently under-promise and over-deliver. Repairs are done faster than expected, communication is clear, and more than once the "surprise" has been that my final cost was lower than what I was originally told. On top of all that, when my MDX needed to stay in the shop, they even drove me over to Enterprise so I could get a rental -- completely voluntarily. They didn't have to do that, but they did. That kind of consideration is rare and very appreciated. If you're looking for a shop that actually looks out for your interests -- not just their invoice -- Diablo Auto Care is it.

I needed to get my car smogged. I called 5 separate places and received the following quote for my 2016 car. $69 after coupon - I went to this shop for my last year smogged since I had my coupon. $69 after coupon $70 after coupon $72 after coupon $71 after coupon. I called and Roberto picked up the phone and quoted me $60. He didn't even need to ask for the make and model of the car. The only thing he asked what what year was the vehicle.
