Still just as easy and reliable. Smooth and efficient process from start to finish. Wait times can vary but on my recent visit, I was the only one there. The employee was quick and polite. The guy told me today there were new owners and they are not honoring the website discount. The guy didn't know what he was doing and couldn't figure out how to read my mileage the other guy said screw it we will show it that it's broken and we can't read it. I said no, I will figure it out and let them know. I was able to get the mileage on my car and the other guy made a comment under his breath. I will not go there again ever! In order to register my car again I had to get the smog checked. I do not like to spend a lot of time waiting so I decided to try this place out. I was very impressed right away. I just drove right up and the guy was very friendly and had me step out of my car for just a couple minutes while he checked the mileage and hooked the tester up. He explained everything he was doing. After the smog check he even sent everything over to DMV for only a few dollars more. If you go online you can get a coupon for both the smog check and the DMV registration and save even more money. I was only there for about 7 minutes for everything. As soon as we pulled up one of the individuals working aggressively was attempting to put me in a spot blocked by a cone. Since I didn't want to damage my car I parked in the spot next, in which the worker shook his head and waved me off, so I rolled down my window and politely said "I didn't want to run over your cone sir." He said "whatever, unlock your door." I unlocked and he opened the door and mumbled something under his breath. I quickly responded I will be taking my business elsewhere and he asked why. I said "you're being rude and unprofessional" and I closed my door and drove away. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. read more

I recently moved to NV with a newish vehicle and didn't realize yearly smog checks were required for registration here in Reno. I also never received a letter from the DMV this year reminding me of my registration dues for whatever reason. By the time it was apparent to me that I needed to register my car, I could no longer update my registration online and it looked liked I was going to have to go again in person... So I took some time off and found this location on google to get my car smog checked. To my surprise, the entire process was well less than 5 minutes, I didn't have to leave my car, and they contacted the DMV for me. They also sent over my late fees, and gave me a temporary letter from the DMV saying I'm in good standing until the new stickers come in the mail in a week or two. Couldn't be easier and quicker. I just dropped in this afternoon after lunch . No waiting; did the inspection and filed it with DMV for me and gave me useful info on getting my diesel van smogged. They don't do diesels because special equipment is required. I went away a Happy Camper! read more

After being charged $40 for a random smog check place on McCarran last year, I got smarter this year and went online to find something closer to home. This place is friendly, professional, fast and convenient. I was going to take my smog check to the DMV to renew registration after leaving here, but for the grand total of $3.05, they renewed my registration right there. Including the late fees I incurred because I missed the registration deadline by 5 days. They have long hours, too; I was there at 6:15 PM. The location is at the southeast corner of the Walmart mall on Damonte Ranch, behind Big O tires. Highly recommended. read more
