Known as the wine "capitol" of Canada, this lovely little town in the Okanagan just across the U.S. border sees its population grow from roughly 7k to over 60K during the summer beach going season--Winter is a very good time to visit. 15 Park looked like it might fit the bill based on their food porn photos so I strolled there from my cheapo lodging and was seated at an empty bar. This Bistro is located in the Watermark Resort and, normally, requires a reservation due to limited seating. They had a Sunday pre-fix menu option that included prime rib, a salad, and dessert--An easy decision. The meat was cooked to crimson perfection and the meal was divine. Really enjoyed chatting with the bartender and host ... their service was impeccable. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Osoyoos.

With the limited options…read morein Oliver, my boyfriend and I decided to drive over to Osoyoos for a meal out and walked into Convivia Bistro. As a walk in, they didn't have any table for two available so we sat at the bar where we received absolutely great service from Juan. When hearing my boyfriend was still sobering up from the Pig Out event, Juan immediately got us a basket of complimentary bread and butter plus asked if my boyfriend would like some club soda, in addition to the jug of water - what a sweetheart! We started off with the goat cheese salad, Artic Char, a side of garlic bread, and the cream brulee. The goat cheese was deep fried and was warm, slightly salty, but not greasy at all and was so so good as a salad dish. It's completely different from all the goat cheese salads I've ever had and I highly recommend trying this. The garlic bread was more for my boyfriend to sober up and he happily gobbled it up, despite not being hungry. The artic char along with shrimp was beautifully cooked with a gorgeous sauce that wasn't too heavy and rich. The baby potatoes and assorted veggies was absolutely delicious and it was a stand out dish. We were recommended to try the cream brulee, by a regular customer who was seated next to us, and my boyfriend said it was one of the best cream brulees he has ever had. I'm not a huge fan of desserts and enjoyed it - authentic brulee top that cracked beautifully along with an authentic vanilla bean custard without being overly sweet. Great ambiance, top notch service, and the most amazing food at reasonable prices for the quality and quantity. I only wish this restaurant was in Vancouver as I would be a frequent customer. Highly recommend trying this restaurant, and making a reservation, if you're in the Oliver or Osoyoos area!

I received three confirmations, one of which was a reminder 4 hours before our reservation time. We arrived on time. The table was not ready. They had us sit at the bar for ten minutes, during which no one acknowledged us, the bartender did not ask us if we wanted a drink. We were not even given a menu. Then we were shown to a table where the busser came and brought water and lit a candle but after which, we were left to sit for another 1 20 minutes with zero acknowledgement, although multiple waiters kept serving the tables next to us. Finally, one of us got up to try to find a waiter. At that point a waiter arrived. I said something about zero service and the waiter responded that there was some co fusion. This leads me to believe that the restaurant is not assigning tables to wait staff in a systematic way and that rather than waiters having an assigned section, they are running around to random individual tables throughout. Really disappointing especially since they charge a requires 18% gratuity. They have also made noticeable cutbacks on the bread. Previously, it came with olive oil and balsamic. Maybe time to find a new restaurant for our annual Osoyoos trip.

The menu is mostly Italian, but with enough variety that there's plenty to explore. Of course, being able to order Hester Creek wines from the library list is an added plus. We started with the handcrafted crackers and assorted dips and the cheeses, which was a great way to savor a 2017 Hester Creek Garland Cabernet Sauvignon. The Rock Star cheddar cheese was perhaps the best cheddar I've had, and a Boursin-like cream cheese with garlic and herbs really brought out the flavors in the wine too. The three of us shared a Caesar salad, which was also excellent and plenty for three people as a salad course. For entrees, we had the strip loin steak, the cioppino, and the cannelloni. They were all excellent. I think the cioppino was among the best I've had. Service was delightful, and the atmosphere is not too noisy, even when the restaurant is packed, as it was Saturday night.
