Since Beef Dip was available on the menu, my husband decided to give that item a try. I settled on having a Chicken Caesar Wrap. Since it was the tail end of lunch hour on a weekday, all the tables cleared up indoors while we were there, and much of the patio cleared out too. For the amount of tables that were left, it still felt like we waited a long time before our food came out. My husband's beef dip was okay, nothing unique or spectacular, very solid with a good portion of roast beef. I ended up with a crispy chicken (I had expected grilled) that was light on the sauce as requested. The only thing we couldn't figure out...the saltiness of the fries. Even my husband found the fries salty and that is one guy that loves his table salt. I thought about telling the waitress, but soon talked myself out of it, fearing the answer would be "that is our normal amount of salt we use." Ironically my husband's sandwich and corresponding juice dip wasn't as salty, and that is usually the saltier one of the combo! Was a nice experience. In the evening, after booking a motel, I also went back there to grab a takeout burger. The place is clean and the service is friendly. The lock on the bathroom stall was broken so I had to hold the handle while using the toilet anytime somebody walked in, which was unfortunate. My order also got screwed up, as I ordered dry Cajun wings but the server brought me dry garlic. Also of note, the service was a little bit slow all around, but still friendly. On the plus side, it was nice and very cool inside which was amazing because we were all defeated by the sun. The patio is top-tier too, with views over the parched mountains surrounding Princeton. The food is nothing to write home about - just standard pub food - but the portions are ample and everything tastes fresh. The dry garlic wings were a little bland, with just garlic powder and a bit of salt on them, but were meaty and not over-fried. The Thai chicken salad, with a sliced chicken breast on top, was huge and filled with variety, but lacked a bit in the taste department. It comes with lettuce, bok choy, soft rice noodles, peppers, onions, peanuts and tomatoes, and was dressed with a peanut and Thai sauce. Later in the evening, the 1516 on draft was nice and cold, and the Bridge Burger (beef) was pretty tasty! The burger was topped with the standards, but the homemade bacon jam really sets it apart! The accompanying yam fries, however, were slightly undercooked, so I only had a few and tossed them out. It was a real shame, seeing as how the burg was on point! In conclusion, go check this place out if you're in town and looking for some decent pub grub and cold beers. They have buckets of mix n matched tall boys for $25 for 5, which is good in my books. Also, my friends had the Beef Dip and Chicken Club House and raved about them being good! At the very least you'll leave full and tipsy!
