Do your car and yourself a favor and NEVER take your car here. I had a mechanic look over my car…read morebefore I took it in for inspection. He said everything looked good, but will take front brakes for sure.I dropped my car off and let them know there was a problem with my power steering, and to take a look at it.Igot a call from the owner of Heffners. Not word about the brakes, but he said I needed valve cover gaskets because oil was leaking on the catalytic converter, and quoted a price of $400 so I told him to install plugs as well.I was hit with a final bill of $640.00I left and several lights were on check engine and VSC.aweek later my brakes started to grind horribly.i got out and seen huge gouges in my rotors from the brakes.so now my rotors are shots have to replace a caliper.and looking underneath the car I seen that the cat.is nowhere near the oil leak.its right underneath the power steering pump.it was this fluid on the cat.not oil.and in Pa valve cover gaskets have NOTHING to do with inspection!so it took me nearly $500 more to fix my car, and these idiots even put two different brad wiper blades on my carDONT USE HEFFNERS.

My truck wouldn't start. I'm from out of town & have Triple A. I had them tow the truck to a Triple…read moreA rated repair shop which was Heffner. The ECM went out. They ordered one & installed but it wasn't programmed right so they had to get another. The installed the 2nd one & again it wasn't programmed properly. A 3rd ECM was shipped out but before it arrived Heffner had the 2nd unit programmed & installed it. After 8 days I was concerned with all that Heffner had to deal with that along with a new taillight being replaced was going to be OUCH! Heffner Automotive came through & the entire bill was less than the car rental. Being on the road & working in the pipeline industry we've come to expect the worst case scenario from auto repair to fast food. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. Two weeks prior a coworker took his truck to the dealership & in 8 hours (One day in the shop) his bill was $2207 for some front end work. Heffner Automotive in Lebanon, Pa. is damn good & a very trustworthy shop to take your vehicles.

Joe Mays Towing came to my home in the middle of the night and towed my car from the parking lot…read morewithout cause. I've parked in the same spot every single day for the past two years with no issues. I got home from work around 8 PM, parked as usual, and when I went outside at 8 AM to leave for work, my car was gone. They towed my vehicle 10 miles away and then charged me $300 to get my own car back. The person who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude during the entire interaction. He told me my car was towed because my permit "wasn't shown," even though it absolutely was. He also admitted they towed another car because the permit was "hidden," which tells me they are not even properly checking for permits before towing people's vehicles. When I questioned their pricing, he said that if I needed a tow from the side of the road it would be a "different rate," but refused to tell me what that rate even is. Completely sketchy and suspicious behavior. The fact that they can't or won't provide the standard roadside tow rate raises more concerns about the legitimacy of the $300 charge. I also asked for an itemized receipt and proof that my permit supposedly "wasn't there," and they refused to provide either. That alone says everything about how they operate. This was completely unnecessary, stressful, and expensive--especially when my permit was visible the whole time. Their behavior shows a lack of care, professionalism, and accuracy when towing from residential areas.
