If it were possible to give 0 stars I would! I came in to have the front brakes replaced. They quoted me $2000 for a ton of work...waaaa?? Got rid of all extras and they quote me $400 for the brakes- I said fine (figure 200parts 200 labor)new customer okay price! Total Bill $800 for brakes! They replaced both front and rear without my approval then refused to make it right. I walked next door to Auto Zone parts were $237, and, on my invoice this place charges $472. Labor $300 for 1 hour work for a Just recently graduated UTI tech. Total for Brakes $800 highway robbery AND they are now holding my car hostage. This PLACE IS TRASHHHHH, you come in for a simple problem and they try and add on some much extra. I literally had to fight with 4 different guys because they were saying how bad my car was and how it "wasn't safe too drive" but after leaving drove 4 hours to state college no problems. Express Care DOESN'T CARE! I happened to take my car here by chance to have the brakes checked, and the back axle had to be replaced. It cost me close to $600 but it was finished within a few hours. The following week I took my car to a different shop for an oil change, using a coupon that I had received in the mail. The oil change shop let me know that my new caliper that had been installed by Express Care was a bad piece (no one's fault) but should be replaced immediately under warranty. It was very unsafe for me to drive the car at all, because the caliper was leaking brake fluid. So I returned to Express Care to have them check it out, and that is when the harassment began. They refused to remove the tire in order to properly see the leaking caliper, and insisted that it was just residual fluid from a new part being installed, which is fine, but the following interactions were unprofessional and down right intimidating. I asked the man in charge, I believe his name was Steve, if he could print me a summary of what they inspected, to keep for my personal records as well as to provide proof to my boss because I had to take time off work to make the visit. Steve flat out refused my request FOUR times and finally said that my boss was being ridiculous and that he would get him on the phone right then and there. Steve then approached me and said, "And one more thing, why would you take your car to a different shop for the oil change?!" That completely crossed the line. Steve was trying to bully me, so after leaving I got in touch with the Valvoline corporation. Unfortunately this particular shop is a franchise, so the best corporate could do was get in touch with the franchise owner, and hope that he would contact me with an apology. However, I NEVER received any form of contact, and returned the following week to complain again in order to have my caliper replaced under the warranty. This time Steve was not present, and the part was replaced wordlessly and I was sent on my way. All I can say is that I have never been treated in this unprofessional and intimidating manner in any other business interaction, and I will warn everyone else now: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO EXPRESS CARE! read more

I needed an inspection but with my schedule it is hard to get appointments anywhere. I called early and they told me to come on in! I waited less than an hour and it was a breeze from start to finish. I will definitely go back for inspections there from now on! Thank you to everyone there! I had a horrible experience here. The employees were friendly enough but the service was awful. I had my car inspected and they had no inspection stickers. I came back the next day and they take my car to a garage about a mile away to have them put the inspection sticker on my car. The guy was gone almost an hour with my car. I do work and have other obligations, this was the worst. I needed tires to pass inspection and was told he'd beat anyone's price.... of course, I called Walmart and bear their price by more than a little so..... I went there for an oil change. They put in the wrong oil. I called them when I noticed it on my bill. The manager told me it was because my car had higher mileage. I called other mechanics and they told me that is bull. The other mechanics told me to do another oil change as to thick oil could damage my engine. When I changed the oil I found that they never changed the filter. So for $24.99 all you get is an oil change with the wrong oil. NEVER AGAIN read more

DON'T TRUST STEVE! He treated me, his longtime customer, with total disrespect. Steve gave me a verbal estimate of $440 to fix an oil leak. To my surprise the bill came to $564. Without my knowledge he added an oil change which he insisted was an obvious requirement of the fix, but was never included in his estimate. After a heated discussion, Steve agreed that my next oil change would be free. Two months later I returned because the oil leak returned. The repair was under warranty but another argument ensued. Because I had previously complained about the oil change, first I was threatened that they might not honor the warranty. Then Steve told me that even if it needed an oil change this time he would only drain my oil and then put the same oil back to finish the repair. He said, "I will give you no extras". Not only did he renege on the "free oil change", he promised to put used oil back into my car even though it was under warranty. THIS CONVINCED ME THAT STEVE WANTED REVENGE! Even though it will cost me more money, I will go somewhere else to fix my car. Based on Steve's angry, argumentative, and unprofessional behavior I felt concerned that the service would be performed improperly. read more
